My card was charged twice for my rental…I picked up the rental on Jan 4 and returned it on Jan 5th. The first charge was $122,89 and another charge hit my account for $119.39. I'm not happy and need answers.

CHRIS MDouble-check that the charges are correct when the customer is signing the contract. I didn't sign up for Smartmove online, but it was on the contact I signed. I should've checked for myself, but I assumed that the charges were for things like the truck, estimated mileage, and taxes.

SERHII TThe website allowed me to reserve prior to the business opening, which was not an available service. The first truck would not crank and had a transmission issue the second truck was stuck in the grass and on empty. U-Haul cost me an extra hour on movers, which was more than the cost of the truck! For all of these issues the cost of the rental should be refunded. This would be directed to the person who Pierre would report to. Also, if your business opens at 10, don't show up at 10 on the dot with Chick-fil-A still needing to unlock the business and turn on computers. My google review will reflect the same. You should no longer be able to franchise.
Shaqueda COur reservation was set for 8am but it didn't open until 10 and even then the employee wasn't on time resulting in a two and a half hour delay for our moving plans. The truck smelled of weed. U-Haul needs to update service hours.
Michael HTruck was okay but somewhat battered. Shiffter was rough. Had to shift. Passengeer side outside mirror was loose hard to hold in place. Manager seemed indifferent to broken items. over all okay.

My father passed and I had to go out of town while I still had stuff on the truck and they still was nice enough to allow me to get thru a tough time without giving me a tough time. Angela MComputer wants to charge me for additional mileage. I was given an extra 75 miles when truck was picked up and I had this in writing. They called uhaul and everything was straighten out.
MICHAEL MWas an easy pick up experience. Didn't have the size truck I reserved but quickly offered next size up and $50 off.

There were 2 separate driveways and buildings with no clear signage to indicate where to park or where to enter the office. Once a worker arrived from m lunch he was very friendly and professional though.

Brandon MThey gave us a truck EL1283D AD91002 that leaked on the inside of the bed from the roof of the truck, that resulted in some of my boxes getting wet. Luckily Nothing was damaged and Luckily My mattress and box springs was not damaged and I thought to cover them in plastic or Both would have been Wet! We should've been offered a discount on my bill, but we weren't offered anything! He was nice when He was collecting my money, but when I went In, (because it was raining outside), to show the gentleman the pictures I took Of the water and my boxes, he Did Not seem interested and I was Rushed out of the front door like he had something else to be concerned with other than this leaking U-Haul truck he rented me! I thought His actions at that point were rude! Plus my boyfriend had to go park the truck, which I didnt Feel was his responsibility. It should have been theirs !

Rechina FExtremely unprofessional personnel. They charged me $1 600 over. They didn't calculate the mileage right and overcharged me. When I called that location's office (Spartanburg, SC) they said I am making this more difficult than it already is. They hung up on me and after I kept calling to see when my money will be reimbursed, they wouldn't pick up the phone. I am extremely disappointed and won't ever use this location again. Extremely unprofessional!!!!

But your app / website is not - its very awkward to us and bounced me around several locations before sending me to the one I originally wanted … I was glad to talk to someone at equity Auto because they sorted out a lot of stuff that the website did not.

Steven JThe passenger part and cargo part of uhaul was invested with ants. As we began driving down road the ants started coming out of the vents and out from under the seats. We made it to our destination which was only 15 mins away. We sprayed the truck everywhere and let it sit for a little bit yet it was only a temporary fix. The ants came back worse. I ended up with ant bites all over my feet and legs and a few on hand. My daughter had them on back of her legs. It was completely unbearable. We notified the place we rented he stated he had just treated the field for ants I told him how bad they were and he said okay. When returning the uhaul because we we decided to just use a pick up truck for remainder of loads. We noticed that where the uhaul was parked was a huge ant pile and no grass all other uhauls were parked in grass or in gravel. This experience was the worst we have ever had and I will never use him again. He never looked at uhaul or even va E outside when we rented it. On top of that, we previously went to another location and they didn't have one available so she reserved a uhaul for us when arriving to new location he was renting a uhaul so we waited. We learned that the uhaul we reserved was the one we're had reserved, but he did have another one so all was well. Till it wasn't. I don't feel like we should have to pay full price for such a terrible experience.

Keenya BWhen I showed up to pick up my truck the evening I scheduled, I couldn't pick it up because no one had left a key for me to do so, even though I'd arranged for 24/7 pickup. Uhaul customer service rescheduled my pickup for 9am the next morning, which is when the business's website states it opens. Upon arriving at 9:30am, there were 3 men outside working, claiming that you weren't open yet, but told me the person in charge of Uhaul was inside and to knock on the door. I knocked on the door, sure enough he was there, but told me that technically he didn't open until 10, even though, once again, the business hours posted online state 9am. So even though 4 men were there working, I was made to wait outside until 10am just to be handed keys to the truck I was supposed to pick up over 12 hours again. Disgusting.

Michael MTruck was dirty, had trash, was sticky, had a smell on the inside. Drivers window handle was broken, check engine light was on, side mirror was cracked, bumper broken and dent on side of vehicle.. Sales rep was polite but I was told incorrect price for mileage, additional insurance was just added to My total with out permission or explanation. I was told to return truck the same day and had to ask for the full 24 hours. I would not recommend this site to anyone to rent from.
Michael LPierre Gentry was very organized, polite, and prepared when we arrived EARLY to pick up our truck. I couldn't praise him enough! He accommodated our needs perfectly, and the truck we rented was well maintained, though it has over 138k miles logged. We were not charged any unexpected fees, and Pierre adjusted the final charges to reflect the additional miles logged beyond the estimated miles. We would definitely recommend that facility to anyone we know needing a moving truck near Spartanburg, SC.
Frank HCan was not clean pills from previous person found on floor stunk of body odor. Wiper fluid leaked while driving making wind shield horrible to see through. Could not check oil as dip stick would not come out. Was told when asked that they were giving me the worst truck to get it out of there. Had to buy a portable charger because the Truck had no way to charge my phone which I needed for GPS. Sticky substance on floor in cab of truck

Brandon DI parked the truck and went inside an old rundown converted house. I was told the truck needed to be parked in a different location. I went back outside, now raining and moved the truck. I went back in. I was asked to go back out and take a pic of the fuel gauge and odometer. I did. I went back in. I was asked to bring in the dolly and furniture pads. After two trip to bring them in in the pouring rain I was completely soaked I was finished, well almost. I was asked to make sure the pads were place in another room (of the old house) and to make sure they weren't blocking the walkway. Now I was done.. I should have driven the extra 15 miles to the large regional center in North Spartanburg.
