I first wan to say that I went to the wrong drop off location because the dealer I rented from failed to tell me that I had a designated location. So I went to a location in Novi on Grand River, LeAnn, who was the manage, was excellent. She got where I needed and explained everything. When I arrived at Estate drop off the woman I meet to take the U-Haul again was excellent. These two women make your organization look great. Everyone else ,not so much.

The new-style hitch sounded very loose over bumps in the road. The black weather strip around the door kept coming off each time the door was opened even though it had a sticky side.

And let me start by saying this has 0 too do With the novi location.. I went to the first location on telegraph in southfield 22455 telegraph... they canceled my reservation without contacting which is what caused these issues in the first place I call in.... let customer service know what happened...,they issue $50 credit for the mishap and send me to another location in Farmington on 9 mile to pick up a truck these geniuses forgot to put the key in the drop box...so this is my second reservation screwed up... I call in spoke with a supervisor ms. honoree pemberton who at the time I thought was doing a great job handling the issue... proceeds to tell me that she was refunding the two $64 holds they had to place on my card as well as giving me a $50 vip certificate or something of the sort. Ms pemberton also stated that I would be able to return the equipment to the original location the reservation originated and that I didn’t have to refill the gas for the inconvenience.... so just being myself I call back maybe an hour or so later to verify the conversation notation as well as to reiterate the dropping off at another and all of a sudden all the other agents/ supervisor starts telling me that I wasn’t supposed to do that or that the supervisor was wrong for telling me that.... so now there needing to listen to the call to verify... then the lady or owner of the unit calls me at about 11:30 -12pm asking where the truck was .... I said wow really no one has called you about this after all the management I spoke with I was embarrassed....not to mention I was only able to utilize the equipment for half the intended time since my storage unit closed the gate at 9pm I had just enough time to grab the things that needed to go in the uhaul like my bed room set and couch because I was on short time.... which caused me to move the rest of my belongings with my personal vehicle the next day which took up an additional 6 hours of my personal time to move multiple batches of things that should have been able to be moved all at once had I had the extra few hours to do so but nope I was running around from U-Haul to U-Haul just a complete failure on U-Haul part this is very unacceptable customer service and unfortunately I’m afraid this will go against the novi location who ironically were the only ones who were able to refill the request make no mistake this review is really meant for the 9 and telegraph location I will not recommended anyone use the mobile 24/7 as last time I had similar issue on another reservation where I had to drive to another U-Haul to pick up a utility dolly that should of been at the location where the equipment was picked up but no I had to drive all the way to a separate location to pick it up this experience was a circus and not an enjoyable one

The amount of information you require to initiate a rental is significantly greater than that to rent a car that cost 10 times as much. Very invasive.

Very difficult to return as entrance was stuffed with returned units by 5:30 Sunday. Hard to back in limited space with trailer. Fortunately my son and I were able to disconnect from truck and park by hand in a remaining tight spot

The staff were very courteous and helpful. The worse thing I can say is the lightbulb in my unit burned out.(not their fault).

Nice people. FYI-Renter supplies light bulb for unit. Our unit had a 9 ft ceiling and didn’t have a light bulb. We always forgot to bring one. Rather challenging when we were in unit after dark.
