Trailer hitch was broken and so rusty it was hard to raise lower. Rubber clips to hold fender place were corroded and kept slipping off, Staff was very unhelpful. I didn't need help hitching up, but if I had, I don't think they would have helped. They didn't know where the trailer was and I had to search their yard. They gave me the wrong number so it took a while.

Both the gentlemen at Express Food Mart were very professional and very helpful. This location has excellent service. This was not my original pick up location. The original location was at Super Gas, 3006 New Castle, DE. That location is awful. I had some difficulty navigating the 24/7 truck share. My online order was saying that I was good to go but I was not able to retrieve the key for the truck. The night attendant attempted to help but I didn't have the Key Code from the truck share. His shift ended the next woman told me "I don't work for Uhaul. I'm not giving no keys." I called Customer Service. She refused to speak with them. I was on the phone back and forth with Customer Service for 2 hours trying get assistance. One gentleman was very helpful. He changed the location for me. It took 2 hours of waiting and getting transferred before I got him on the line. In, a nutshell, Express Food Mart saved the day. This go round the process for renting a Uhaul was stressful. I have rented Uhaul trucks in the past and didn't have nearly as many complications. Over the course of a week I spoke to about 12 people to get a 10 foot truck. I have never had such a long drawn out rental process. Thanks to the Customer Service agent Carl and the staff at Express Food Mart. They were able to help me actually get on the road.

Honor your rental agreements. And do not wait till the last minute to notify a user that their rental will not be fulfilled. This is not a knock on the Pulaski location, they did their job fine. U-Haul is the one who did not honor a reservation made one week in advance. That should not happen. Moving is stressful and time sensitive. Flippantly cancelling a reservation the day of without providing alternative is incredibly unprofessional.

Train the on-site staff. Despite reserving the truck and trailer on-line, the on-site person took 30 minutes to re-enter all of my information and had to call someone to assist with the rental process. Then the on-site person misunderstood our destination location and assigned a drop-off location that was 2 hours from our destination. This took 30-60 minutes to correct after we arrived at the destination.

There was a confusing part of the process where the person at the counter asked for an additional name and phone number, or else the system wouldn't let her move forward. After providing two, she had to call someone and figure out a way to bypass it as the two provided did not "validate". She gave me the keys and told me to go out and find the truck which was not parked at their building, but behind a separate building in the same parking area(somewhat like a stripmall, but independent structures). This led to unnecessary confusion and worry.

It was a junkie looking store , but we picked up the truck with no problems.

This location specifically wasn't the problem, however I was thrown around to 3 different locations the night before my move-in because they didn't have trucks available THAT I RESERVED 2 weeks prior. Drove to this location at 7:30am (my pickup time) only for the guy to hand me his cell phone to talk to someone else who then tells me his staff doesn't arrive until 8:30 (“but to be safe, come at 9”). I had movers waiting at my house (as I'm also being charged for their time. This was the most frustrating experience ever. Wouldn't recommend uhaul.

First I booked at another place I had my time and location switched 4 times then couldn't get the last location truck because it wasn't released also at the same time this was going on the othe 3 location called me to ask why I never picked up the trucks it because you are all not on the same page only one employee should be handling my account not others going and switching location and time slots on me and then I finally get a truck but the gas was on empty and I had to go get gas whole situation unprofessional

I explain to the clerk that my truck broke down in the middle of the road and he really didn't express any concern or anything he kept saying well that's the way we got it from U-Haul or what have you all in all today was just a bad experience

The store keeper or owner of the cited business is a criminal. He tried to rob me by over charging me. I disputed his false claims and called the police. Also, I contacted my bank not to honor any charges from that store until the matter is probed by a court.

Service at the rental location was ok, but I am NOT happy with the fact that every time I pick a location that shows the truck I need available, I get bumped to a location much further away, which costs me extra in mileage, gas and time. I will look at other truck rental services before U-Haul in the future.

I went in at the last minute and the guy worked his butt off to find me a UHAUL at another location because they didn't have any long distance trucks available at the moment. So my experience was amazing thank you for am amazing customer service

My only issue was they couldn't give me a receipt at the time I dropped off the truck. But, that was a UHaul issue because they scheduled me for a drop off 3 days longer than I needed.

My reservation was for Friday at 10am in Middletown,DE, i received a call Thursday night at 5:30pm to come pick up my trailer a half hour away. When i arrived my contract had incorrect vehicle information listed and the representative was unconcerned with details and contract specifics. Very unprofessional in my opinion and i had to later call and correct the information with a UHaul 1-800 number. Extremely unimpressed.

My reservation had 2 dozen pads. Picked up the truck at 9:30am and there were no pads. The Uhaul attendant wasn't there so the guy at the cash register called him about there no being pads. The person on the other end of the phone stated there was a shortage of pads. I completely understand, especially during these times that things happen. He didn't tell me there were not going to be any pads. I had to go 25 miles out of my way, to pick up pads. All of this while driving the truck and paying $75 an hour for movers waiting on me. It took 90 minutes to go out of my way to pick up pads, wait in line, and drive back to the loading area. I will be more than happy to provide receipts from my movers who had to sit and wait. I also have pictures of how dirty the back of the truck was. To sum it up…it's a very poor representation of Uhaul.
