The truck had a problem with the engine and the back door kept getting stuck. The engine light was on practically the whole time and sometimes the accelerator would stay on when you were stopped. The back door was very rusty and would get stuck at the top where two people would have to pull on it very hard for it to move. Also at bottom it would stick so bad I had to strain to get it to move up. Not good.Jonathan U.

Truck was old and dirty. The truck's fuel was half full when I received the vehicle made fueling up more difficult and I lost money overfilling. Your after hours drop off and pickup is nice but the $20 charge to do the return myself is a little obnoxious.Gerard P.
Vehicle had over 100 000 miles on it. Suspension was shot. Think it was burning oil.Kevin B.
The App was a little difficult to navigate, especially at this location as the wireless service was spotty. Kept getting 'connection lost' messages. You do need to be near the vehicle to be able to complete the online application process, so a solid internet connection is important. Otherwise, it was pretty straightforward.Jeff L.

The key was missing from the lockbox. I scheduled pickup for 7am and I had to wait 1 hour for the location to open. I called customer service and the suggestion was for me to take the extremely larger vehicle that had an available key instead. The Uhaul app was slow and I had to open/close the app several times. It actually never worked to pick up and return the car. I had cell phone service the entire time. Maybe there should be available wifi at the location to connect to.Autar R.

The only thing that I would say is that when I made the reservation it listed the price as $19.95, which I guess is the "In Town" price. On the paperwork the rental charge was higher. Not sure if that is because it was not going to in town or if it is because some mileage was included but that is the only thing. The staff at the counter was very professional and cordial. In the end I think the cost would have been about the same.Rick K.

Everything was great at this uhaul locations. The only thing I would change is make WiFi available to the customers to make the rental process a little faster. The cel reception there wasn't the best and I kept losing internet and having to start over. But once it finally worked, everything else was great and seamless.YELENA B.

Your app wasn't working to return. Was charge an extended time late charge which I did not return the vehicle late. It was that your app wasn't working. and still waiting for a refund for a late chargeJerry C.
I was not provided with the code to the lock box that contained my keys for pickup so I had to call U-Haul frantically to obtain the code in order to access the vehicle. Also- a furniture dolly and furniture padding that I had ordered was not included in the van when I picked it up. I was reimbursed for this but still frustrating as this additional equipment was ordered for a reason and would have been useful.Eric D.

The app is extremely buggy and gave me issues during pickup and drop off. I had to call while waiting in the heat to gain access to the lockbox because the app glitched out and would not let me see the combination. During drop off, it wouldn't let me upload the images of the odometer to record my mileage, and I was unable to complete the dropoff in the app.Stephen Y.
I did the mobile app pick up but was experiencing technical difficulties. I walked inside and the employee helped with the process, also when returning the truck, the mobile app wasn't going through with photos of mileage, I walked inside and the girl was pleasantly helpful, Issues with mobile app! It takes 1 minute to clean the nasty console cup holder area and another minute to clean the nasty tissues and empty water bottle from under the drivers seat, yet no one bothered.Irma Y.

One thing went wrong The young lady said if you return after 4:00 you can go on line and leave it by the door So I park the vehicle - I arrived at 4:30 I take photos of the vehicle and don't see anything on the door I look at my emails I send the photos to my wife to look on line and I leave Two hours later I opt to go back the the rental site and look around a watch the video - I get a hanger and fish out my key and start the vehicle move it out Open the back video the inside - then around the truck and a photo of the gas and mileage Just not easy - if she would have walked out and explained that the information was on the truck to return it the end was a waste because no one explainedAntonio S.

first 2 vans had faulty tire pressure guages since they both had low pressure indication. the van i got had next to no gas in it. i filled the tank at a cost of over $ 90. and went 92 miles, the tank was returned with over 3/4 tank and hey credited me with $15 as i see it i should have gotten at least $70. it was a rip off and i will contact corporate!william R.
Associate was helpful but unenthusiastic. A little goes a long way. Truck was at 1/4 tank but only because of how it was parked. As soon as I left the property, truck was at 1/8 fuel. Would be better if trucks gauge was more accurate.Aleksander O.

The opening hours of this location was confusing. I assumed that it was open until 5 pm on Wednesday (July 20), but it wasn't. Maybe I misunderstood something. Anyway, the after hours return worked perfectly.Peter J.

Gas tank was less than half full when I picked up the van, however was listed as half full on the paperwork. Also ended up waiting for the office person to check me in. As a â€œretailâ€ facility, was a bit surprised that no one was there when I showed up, though I was told over the phone that they would be there until 4:00 for the remainder of the day (I arrived at about 2:30). In addition the cleaning question on the app when you check the vehicle in is very misleading. I thought the van should have been cleaner than it was when I picked it up. (Would have though when a vehicle comes back from another renter the back gets at least a sweep and the cab gets a quick vaccume, but I guess you don't do that.) In any event, when I answered that I did not think it was clean enough for the â€œnext familyâ€ the app try's to bill me $25. That's some BS for being honest. Car wasn't clean enough for a family when I picked it up. Good thing I read the itemized bill before I agreed to pay it. Feel free to call me with any questions 973-771-9548.Derek G.

There were a bunch of problems that was mostly on uhaul, but temporary hours meant there was no one there to talk to, and the uhaul (which had changed locations twice) didn't have a second dolly and then I got harassed by uhaul for the truck not being checked in yet on Monday, even though it had been returned. The van was not available at the location I booked it which caused a delay to the start of the move. The Fairfield location had a van. It was only 15 minutes away but that's additional time and mileage I hadn't planned for.Jeff G.

I arrived to find the worker and her son eating behind the counter. She seemed blaise about having a customer yet did not want to make any sort of contact. I find this interesting considering they both were not wearing masks and were eating while working. I also suspect her son who was sitting next to her wearing pajamas probably should have not been there. Maybe if this was the case the vehicle would have been properly inspected and found to have a faulty battery, which would have prevented this entire ordeal. The U-Haul I rented was dirty ( used cups and garbage on the floor). The battery died and I was stranded for over five hours in the freezing cold until a service tech came to jumpstart the vehicle. There was only one service tech for all of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The fact that U-Haul does not have their own service workers blows my mind. The third party dispatchers gave false times and did not care that I was in a situation of possibly hypothermia or even frostbite. I was forced to miss work since the tech was not able to arrive until 7:50 a.m. The way this whole situation was handled was disgusting and inhumane. I am seriously considering suing. The only saving grace was Amy at Customer Service and Dominic at the facility I dropped off the U-Haul at. I also want to mention I arrived at this location at 5:32 and it was completely dark with no employees in site, yet the hours for this location were until 5:30. I will never use U-Haul again and will be sharing my awful life-endangering experience with all.KATHERINE P.
