first 2 vans had faulty tire pressure guages since they both had low pressure indication. the van i got had next to no gas in it. i filled the tank at a cost of over $ 90. and went 92 miles, the tank was returned with over 3/4 tank and hey credited me with $15 as i see it i should have gotten at least $70. it was a rip off and i will contact corporate!william R.
Associate was helpful but unenthusiastic. A little goes a long way. Truck was at 1/4 tank but only because of how it was parked. As soon as I left the property, truck was at 1/8 fuel. Would be better if trucks gauge was more accurate.Aleksander O.

The opening hours of this location was confusing. I assumed that it was open until 5 pm on Wednesday (July 20), but it wasn't. Maybe I misunderstood something. Anyway, the after hours return worked perfectly.Peter J.

Gas tank was less than half full when I picked up the van, however was listed as half full on the paperwork. Also ended up waiting for the office person to check me in. As a â€œretailâ€ facility, was a bit surprised that no one was there when I showed up, though I was told over the phone that they would be there until 4:00 for the remainder of the day (I arrived at about 2:30). In addition the cleaning question on the app when you check the vehicle in is very misleading. I thought the van should have been cleaner than it was when I picked it up. (Would have though when a vehicle comes back from another renter the back gets at least a sweep and the cab gets a quick vaccume, but I guess you don't do that.) In any event, when I answered that I did not think it was clean enough for the â€œnext familyâ€ the app try's to bill me $25. That's some BS for being honest. Car wasn't clean enough for a family when I picked it up. Good thing I read the itemized bill before I agreed to pay it. Feel free to call me with any questions 973-771-9548.Derek G.

There were a bunch of problems that was mostly on uhaul, but temporary hours meant there was no one there to talk to, and the uhaul (which had changed locations twice) didn't have a second dolly and then I got harassed by uhaul for the truck not being checked in yet on Monday, even though it had been returned. This is my last experience with uhaul.Shannon B.

Go over final costs and fees better. Cost of gas, miles and fees. Was thinking 0,99 cents per mile and it was 1.99, not what I was told. Never mentioned refill gas? Wasn't happy with expecting a bill for 80 and being charged double that! Horrible overall experienceJEFFREY O.

The van was not available at the location I booked it which caused a delay to the start of the move. The Fairfield location had a van. It was only 15 minutes away but that's additional time and mileage I hadn't planned for.Jeff G.

I arrived to find the worker and her son eating behind the counter. She seemed blaise about having a customer yet did not want to make any sort of contact. I find this interesting considering they both were not wearing masks and were eating while working. I also suspect her son who was sitting next to her wearing pajamas probably should have not been there. Maybe if this was the case the vehicle would have been properly inspected and found to have a faulty battery, which would have prevented this entire ordeal. The U-Haul I rented was dirty ( used cups and garbage on the floor). The battery died and I was stranded for over five hours in the freezing cold until a service tech came to jumpstart the vehicle. There was only one service tech for all of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The fact that U-Haul does not have their own service workers blows my mind. The third party dispatchers gave false times and did not care that I was in a situation of possibly hypothermia or even frostbite. I was forced to miss work since the tech was not able to arrive until 7:50 a.m. The way this whole situation was handled was disgusting and inhumane. I am seriously considering suing. The only saving grace was Amy at Customer Service and Dominic at the facility I dropped off the U-Haul at. I also want to mention I arrived at this location at 5:32 and it was completely dark with no employees in site, yet the hours for this location were until 5:30. I will never use U-Haul again and will be sharing my awful life-endangering experience with all.KATHERINE P.

We ordered a 15 foot truck. We ordered it for touchless pickup. Neither happened. Because the equipment was unavailable, we couldn't have touchless pickup, because of all of this we were behind schedule. I've been deeply disappointed by our last two uhaul experiences. As a result of the lack of equipment, and the delay to the start time of our contract, I would like a 25 % discount in the form of a rebate of fees paid this last rental. I am completely unhappy with my last two rentals. Uhaul needs to step up their services.George A.

Was supposed to rent from Wayne which was close to my home but the mobile app was an awful experience and I could not get in touch with customer service for hours on end so I had to go to Fairfield. It was fine but the windshield of the van on the inside was so dirty I couldn't even see to driveMICHAEL P.
Truck was clean but old. Pick location was changed from Parsippany to Fairfield. This added 15 miles (round-trip) to the trip and $15 to the cost.Gerard B.

The gas tank was about 7/8 full at pick up. We returned it full and put a lot more gas in it then we used. It would have been nice if the vehicle was full at pick up to avoid this overcharge. Hard to refill it to the 7/8 levelLEONARD T.
I received the truck with gas tank about 1/4 full and I returned it with a little under 1/4. Figured U Haul would be filling for next customer and I am immune compromised so I try not to touch items general public uses. I agree with paying for 2 gallons of gas but to be charged $30 for a service charge was excessive and left a sour taste in my mouthJOHN C.

There were mysterious liquid stains in the cup holders and floor of the driver's cab as well as garbage in the door. The inside of the truck itself was littered with debris. The staff there was apathetic at best, intentionally ignoring me at worst. They were too busy on their phones to even look up as I picked up and dropped off the keys. I put over $ 60 gas in the Truck , it was filed to top and I only needed half a tank and I got no credit for the gas, If I had less gas you would have charged me not fair, Please return $ 30, to my Charge card!Dennis M.
