The rental cost is outrageously high. I will use a competitor on the next move.
Edward Majesky$600 for a uhaul is too high! Would I recommend? I would recommend them buying their own trailer for $600. Lower your prices. Y'all tripping.
juan rivasThe problem I had was trying to use the app. It was not working properly and the employee at the location had to help check out the vehicle. When we returned the truck it was after hours and the app was not working properly so I could return the vehicle. The employee was still in the office and helped me return the vehicle. Kudos to the employee. UHAUL needs to work on their app.

Jennifer SheltonIf you're renting a truck be sure to take photos of your mileage before and after your use. Upon returning the truck they tried to charge me for 108 additional miles. Had to get someone from corporate on the phone before they would accept the correction.
Daniel WorrellThe transmission on the truck I used had issues shifting into reverse...the shift lever would slip over reverse and jump straight into park. It took 4-5 times of ever-so-gently manipulating the lever to get it into reverse.
MARK HEBERTI had no problem with Five Star, BUT Devon storage was scheduled to have a truck reserved for us. However, they DID NOT LEAVE A KEY AVAILABLE. Therefore, we had to be transferred by UHaul support to Five Star and lost two hours of time.

Promise nelsonNo spaces left to park. Had to park behind another UHaul. Was concerned someone else might be picking up and wouldn't be able to get their truck because of this one parked behind it.

Finally, the lady at Five Star Storage called U-Haul direct to get me checked out 45 minutes later. I will never go through that again, I'll spend the extra money and go to Penske Truck Rental, they are fast, efficient and knowledgeable.

Lisa CountsMake sure the trucks are cleaned out and that the requested equipment is inside, especially if you know the customer is picking up when your location is closed.

Bryan GoodwinIf a customer reserves a piece of equipment- ensure that piece of equipment is ready when the customer arrives. - I reserved an Appliance Dolly and all I got was…"sorry, we don't have one." I spent almost 2 hours looking for an Appliance Dolly to rent. My truck rental was 8 hours. Due to the time I spent looking for the Dolly - down to 6 hours. To add insult to injury the girl at the desk charged me $60,00 for being 15 min late returning the truck! I had to call UHAUL Customer Service to get everything rectified.
KELLY WILLIAMSONKristin was a life savior. When we arrived at the Morton St. location in Denison and found a note saying they would not open till 10:30 and they would not answer the phone we were left in a panic because we had a big job which required a 26' truck for the week. Fortunately Kristin answered our plea for help with professionalism and compassion. She was kind, efficient and seemed she cared for our situation, We will utilize this dealer every month this contract continues because of Kristin.

Santresha Edwards5-Star was a back-up rental since I'd previously had reservations with Hollis Unlimited in Sherman…due to no-fault with Lucinda Hollis (15' truck was returned from previous renter but no keys) so Lucinda referred me to 5-Star Sherman…he was able to pull up my reservation and we were on our way!!! Thanks Uhaul…

Robert GrutchfieldOffice was closed when i arrived at my scheduled time. Contacted the office to let them know we needed to extend our rental twice, and they still called me about not returning it. After i returned the truck they called me the next day asking where it was.
JEREMY JAY$200 to rent a U-haul and it wasn't even for a whole day. I recently lost every piece of furniture I owned so being a single mother with no truck I had to rely on U-haul to gather furniture from place to place, so yes I had to drive some mileage. There should be a plan to cover something in that area because $186 for the U-haul plus the $30 I had to replace is a bit much for someone in my position. And then the return procedure online took too much time to complete. I sat there for almost 30 minutes to get it completed.
Melissa ConeI had the worst time with my uhaul, it was such an inconvenience to have to jump it off every time I had to move something. I wasn't please & I should really get my money back. Very disappointed.
Victoria JamesRegistered online to pick up van and 1 dolly at 4, no one was there. Finally called them and it went to a call center who said they'd call the associate on their cell phone. Guy finally shows up nearly 4:30. Then he can't find me in the system anywhere, even with my confirmation emails. Then I'm charged for 2 dolls. 1 I was charged for, the one I actually wanted, wasn't even there or available. I was still charged for both and told it was too late for a refund because it had already been sent to the "main center". If I wanted to I was given the option to drive around to other uhaul places snd see if anyone had one. So had nearly an hour of the 24 i paid for eatten up by some dude who didnt feel like being at work and didnt know much of what he was doing, i got charged for equipment i didnt even get, and when i returned it he just took the keys and said he'd check mileage and check the van in later. So God knows what I'll end up being charged. All around just crappy service. I want a refund for the appliance dolly I wasn't given.

Amanda PepeThe office closed at 1:30 on a Saturday! I don't believe they are even open on Sunday. This requires the customer, (tired, hot, and - if like me - not in a good mood) to do the check-in themselves. Then, the receipt indicates a $20 charge would be added if equipment is returned after operating hours even though I returned equipment an hour before contract due time. I will check final charge carefully, and if the $20 charge is added, I will demand a refund. Since I suspect a high percent of returns occur on weekends, closing at 1:30 on Saturday, is not optimal from a customer service standpoint.

Warren WilliamsMake it clear in your advertising that the floor of the trucks are NOT flat wall to wall, there are obstacles in the way that have to be accounted for especially if you are measuring furniture for truck placement to get the most out is the truck. Because of this the furniture that would have fit a certain way and the most efficient way did not. I would also say that the advertised 10" truck is not large enough to move a one bedroom apartment as stated online, therefore causing 2 trips. Also, although I knew this going in because I'm older. You may want to make sure people understand that the $19,95 truck is not $19.95. The $19,95 truck cost me $81.
