Rented a truck from Oct 30th-Nov 1st. We requested a different drop off location from where we picked it up/closer to where we were moving to, picked up the truck, moved and dropped the truck off at the designated drop off location on the 1st as agreed and got charged the estimated 140$. But on Oct 31st got voicemail asking where the truck was but was confused because we had it rented until Nov 1st? Then got an text on Nov 4th saying they were expecting the truck to be drop off that day saying our contract was from Oct 30-Nov 4th (keep in mind we haven't had the truck since Nov 1st) and got charged an additional 4 days or 292$. Had to file an investigation with U-haul and get the charges credited back to me by my bank. These people have no idea what they're doing…WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING THEM OR GIVING THEM YOUR DEBIT CARD INFO…
AARON JWhen I picked up the car, the actual gas level was lower than what's in the contract. Followed their instructions to take some pictures, but still charged ~$50 for the gas although I returned the car with the same gas level as what's shown during the pickup.

Bryan MWe were incorrectly charged $120 for a missing dolly. We replaced the dolly, my husband tied it down in the truck but the manager obviously didn't see it. I have requested this charge be reversed but no response from U-Haul Or the company. I have much better experiences at other locations.
Christie WGas gauge was broke and I ran out of gas. Plus they switched the pickup location the morning I was supposed to pick up the truck.

Ryson CMake sure the 24/7 app works. We were 2 hours late getting started on a move because the app wasn't working properly and showing up the "pick up truck" wasn't on the app. We had to wait until the office opened to get the truck.
Steve EI was given the run around twice during this rental. The first was when I was downgraded to a 10' truck with only 1 day notice, which is not enough time to reserve another truck from a different company for a reasonable price. The smaller truck required me to take multiple trips to complete my move. The pick up location was also changed to a location 45 minutes away from me which added a further hour and a half to the total length of my move. The second run around was that the new truck was not going to be available until noon when I previously reserved it for 9:00 further delaying my move. This level of bullshitery without any reasonable warning is unacceptable. I will never rent from uhaul ever again and I will never recommend uhaul to even my worst enemies. The only positive thing about my experience was the man at fleet services who had to apologize for uhaul's failures. Customers and these contractors deserve better.
Michael BBe consistent, not to say my first experience was not. Hidden off the main path but that does not affect service. The gentleman behind the counter was very courteous.
Darren PFix your app because it would not connect to our location while we were standing in front of the building. It took us over an hour to pick up the truck.

Here's a suggestion for you: When a customer reserves a truck 3 months ahead of time, don't call him a day ahead of time and tell him the nearest one is 50 miles away in the mountains; and then substitute a smaller one inadequate for the move that then requires tacking on a utility trailer to finish loading stuff before dragging it all 2200 miles across the nation while watching the trailer tire deflate. Absolutely pitiful approach to running. business. Your '"reservations" are pointless, a pure placebo of uselessness, and a waste of customer time. This site was fine. Your company is trapped in the 1980s. No way in hell I would ever recommend UHaul to anyone.
Bonita SPickup and drop off were seamless. The individual I talked to for both pickup and drop off offered helpful advice which was great.
Robert BI was overcharged for fuel. I was told it was $4,5 per gallon. I was invoiced for $54. We used 8 gallons max based off the fuel gage. Not sure of the other charges.

Barbara CGreat overall experience! The only problem I had was that I was unable to figure out how to pick up the truck just using the app. Fortunately, the shop was still open, and your employee Caden helped me get going. He was very pleasant, professional, and efficient in getting me on the road.

james mYour policy of being able to alter the pickup location the day before the reservation is absolutely ridiculous. You should make it more clear that you are not actually reserving a trailer at the selected location but instead are just being guaranteed a trailer. I had my location changed both trips of my recent rentals from you causing me an extra 2 hours of driving between the two rentals. I will never be renting with U-Haul again.

Samson OLong wait for pickup, as front desk person was working outside and asked someone else to help us. One of the employees, Caden, was helpful, but can't handle everything alone. Assigned truck was dirty and had to be hurriedly cleaned and swept out. The Engine light was on, so we had to go back in and swap trucks, which further delayed us. This truck had obviously not been properly checked in when it was returned. The 2nd truck had less than half a tank of gas, so we immediately had to stop for gas, while we were also paying by the hour for movers. We drove 34 miles and put in 4 gallons of gas but were still charged for additional gas upon return, despite the gas needle being in the exact same position when we started.
Mary JI hired Exquisite Movers to help me with my move. Being a single girl living on the 3rd floor with no help, the movers were so professional, kind, and they did a fantastic job. Will be hiring them and a U-Haul again to finish the rest of my move.

dominique mMaybe it's the way the truck is geared but the transmission on the truck that I had felt a bit rough. It just shifts hard. When it downshifted it jerks forward enough to throw the stuff that was in the passenger seat, onto the floor. I was glad I was wearing my seatbelt a few times.

william bThey added insurance I had not wanted when u reserved and would remove after I realized it had been added. The truck was suppose to be available after hours for pick but they said I had to come early to get it and then got charged an extra delay. Disputing with my CC now bc they had removed charges and now a month later got hit with the bill again and no explanation. I'll be using other companies for my rental needs in the future

ALEXANDER MThis is for the company and not the drop off site - It's wrong when I turn in a cargo trailer 2 days early and the on site person tells me that there is someone wanting to rent it so they are going to call them and tell them they have one but yet I don't get a refund for the days I didn't use it. That's double dipping.

Charles LThe U-Haul person added a service I did not want nor need. The truck was on empty and I only drove 1 mile because my move was across the street and I was charged for more gas than was in the truck. I have filed a complaint and want a refund for all unauthorized charges. I do not recommend this location if you are black. Very racist and unpleasant.
