absolutely terrible experience. i would never recommend it. first off all I came to the location at 1011 Caroline St Ste A West Palm Beach, FL 33401. it turned out to be a grocery store with no truck obviously, they redirect us to a gas station at 901 Belvedere Rd. i came there and guess what ? no truck as well. they gave me a key a told me to come back to a first location. so i came back, and the truck wasn’t there. i’ve found the truck around the corner on different street be someone’s garage. totally unacceptable and very poor service

The truck was parked a half mile from the location that manages it. I also had to wait in line for keys even though I completed the pre-registration process. It took an hour and multiple Ubers when this should have been a 5 minute process
Brent Bthe store is not at address mentioned. I have to took uhaul from different location.
prabhat rConvenient location.
Anthony GWent to the location and was told to go to another location. I thought it all looked sketchy. But I dropped it off at the second location because that's what the guy said to do.
Amy CThe incorrect address was provided for drop-off. I had to determine the correct address. The staff were not helpful or willing to check me in. I had to do it myself
David RUhaul can get their shit together and if a truck is reserved, the truck should BE THERE when customer is picking up at the location!
JOSHUA PThis location was hardly a location at all. No signs and NO DROP BOX FOR KEYS. I looked around the entire block for either a UHaul sign or a drop box or ANYTHING and could not find a think. I looked for 30 minutes. Terrible customer experience. PUT UP A SIGN, YOURE A HUGE NATIONAL COMPANY
Mitchell HHad to drop the truck off at one location and go somewhere else for the keys... Was very confusing and not how I thought it would go
Ovshay ONo signage. No drop off box. Terrible.
Michael bLousy customer service. the wrong address to which the dirty car is in documents and in poor condition.
Lisoleth CNot impressed.
John VPick up location at first did not want to pull up my reservation because" he would have to log in" and said " I'll just do this as a walk in" what was the point of me doing anything online. Also I reserved a 15' truck and tried to give me a 10' truck at the 15' truck rate. Called him out on it and then gave me my correct size. Said it was a full tank of gas but was only half a tank. I have pictures to prove it.
Michael HIt was barely findable, and we had to make a couple loops to be sure it was the right place.
Joseph RThis is a very crowded gas station with a small parking lot on a busy corner. Returning a Uhaul here can be difficult, because there is very little space and many customers are waiting to get gas and will be in the way of you awkwardly trying to back in or turn around your Uhaul.
Bobbyjoe GTruck was filthy. Had to clean before using. Had to go to three locations to get my truck.
Michael RI selected this location because it is very close to my apartment, about a 15-17 minute walk. I walked to the pickup location (which was a convenience store) and was told by a woman who worked there that I need to go to a different location (not walking distance) and see her boss. I called someone to come pick me up, waited another 15 minutes, then drove to the second location. I met with a gentleman there who was polite but said he had sent a text to my work number (which is a landline, so does not receive texts), letting me know that the location had changed. A phone call would have been much more effective to make sure that I got the message. The truck was fine but there were food crumbs all over the floor in the cabin.
Lindsey TThe customer service at the Mooresville NC location is by far the best experience that I have ever had with any type of store.
DAVID SI was redirected once arriving at Food and Beverage industry. I certainly was happy that I was. The woman behind the counter there was very rude. I had to call UHaul and explain that the truck I had reserved was not there. They redirected me to the Citgo station on Belvedere. Thank goodness they did. It was such a pleasant experience! Kahn was so pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely recommend reserving a Uhaul at the Citgo on Belvedere not Food and Beverage industry.
Stacy AMarsha in the office was very kind and knowledgeable.
Mary CI was given the wrong address to pick up the truck. I was also told that the truck would average 20 MPG highway. I averaged 7 MPG !!! The rental wound up costing me more than the things I moved because of all the fuel required.
David GSam was great I highly recommend this pick up area to anyone. Superb customer service I will use this location anytime I need a u haul
Leslie BGet drop off location information updated. Per my contract I was to drop equipment off at this location but upon gassing up equipment and driving to this location I was told by merchant to drive vehicle to a totally different place therefore consuming the gas that I was prepared to leave. After arriving at second location I met merchant who was busy texting who took the keys and told me he would email my receipt. He did not check vehicle or anything. Also , I asked merchant about a possible refund for returning equity 2 days early and I was told to go back to 1 st merchant. He said that the other place does all of the paperwork and he continued with whatever he was doing with his phone. I then called uhaul direct and spoke with customer service and was advised that I owe $6,38 for gas. This is not acceptable.
Kathy MFriendly and good services.
CARLOS AI was charged twice the among I was given! I call to complain and was told someone would could me in a few days. I am still waiting! I would like my money back! Merci
MAUREEN KIt wasnt exactly clear where I should go to get truck. Once inside the employees did not greet me an ask what I needed so I wasted time just looking standing around. There was some confusion about what I requested online and what they had. It was worked out after some time but it would have been nice to have lined out already.
Jecory EThe owner of the gas station at 901 Belvedere Road in West Palm Beach was very nice. We told him about the stuck door and he helped us to call in for the service repair. He assured us that we wouldn't be charged, as did the customer service rep that we called at UHaul.
Chad MAddress for drop off different than actual location
jim fEvery 4 months the Homeless Coalition Palm Beach County rents a truck to provide services to the homeless. Generally, I receive a discounted non-profit rate and since we The Homeless Coalition Palm Beach County, are a non-profit, we tax exempt. When I reserved the truck, they told me that I would have to pay for 2 days since I was going to have the truck for 30 hours....Although I thought this was a little much, I agreed on the price of $79.98, no tax. The owner of this location, also said that there was a quarter tank of fuel. When I took the truck, the fuel was a "hair" under the quarter tank mark. When I returned the truck, I was charged more than double the price they told me. I was charged tax when, 3 different people took my tax exemption letter AND...they gave me a hard time with leaving the fuel a hair under the quarter tank level which is where it was when I picked up the truck.... added another $11 in fuel and the man still was giving me a hard time so, I added $2 more, at the uhaul location, for check out (same place) the Indian man said, "It's your company's money, you shouldn't worry about having to add more gas, or paying for the truck. Well, first of all, we are not a "company", we are a NONPROFIT!!! We run on grant funding and it DOES matter if we are over charged. I have a problem with agreeing to pay 79,98 for the truck and being charged 168.02. This was not right and if, we are not refunded, I will need to use another truck rental service going forward. The guy kept saying that the overcharge was on the part of Uhaul, and since he didn't understand clear english, it was Friday evening after a hard worked week of helping the homeless, I decided to surrender and just, call UHAUL on Monday. I will be calling Uhaul first thing Monday morning...I expect to be refunded. Again, we used the truck for an event which, provided help to more than 250 homeless individuals. Thank You Michelle Howell-Phillips Program Director for the Homeless Coaltion Palm Beach County www.homelesscoalitionpbc.org
michelle hThis location is not actually where the trailer was, this is simply a very poorly maintained convenience store in a very sketchy location. I had to wait in line there to be told that the equipment is about 7 blocks away. I go to the second location, again a very questionable convenience store, and I had to wait approx. 45 minutes to an hour, as they had to wait on food and drink customers while attempting to do my transaction. Then was told they didn't even sell hitches (the truck I had needed a receiver and I was told by the location in Jacksonville I could get one there) or even a ball so I had to go approx. 6 more blocks away to find a store that had one, then go back and try to get my gear. Worst experience I have ever had at a U-Haul, I may not be renting from them again. My suggestion is that U-Haul stop letting any company that decides they want a few extra bucks call themselves an "authorized U-Haul center," as they clearly were not. Pathetic honestly.
GREG Ggreat service provided
MELANY FI showed up at the address shown in my reservation, only to be told that they have moved 10 minutes away. So after finally finding the place, the guy there had no idea what he was doing. It took one hour for the guy to complete my reservation. I asked him for a small dolly witch I got, only to be charged for a appliance dolly. When I brought the trailer back I informed him of this and he said that there was nothing he could do. No one helped me hook up the trailer, or checked it to make sure it was hooked up correctly. No one helped me un hook it either. In the past 6 months I have rented approximately 8 trailers. I have never had such BAD customer service in my life. This place definitely should not represent U Haul.
Timothy LI brought the truck back to the Food and Beverage store listed on my receipt. The cashier had me call someone on my cell phone which had me bring it somewhere else, she said it was her boss. Then I get there 20 min or so after my drop off time solely because I had to bring it to another location other than the location I agreed to drop it off to, long story short I was charged an additional $70 for an extra day because of it! I complained and the uhaul charge was taken off my bank statement. A couple days later I see a charge of the same amount under Food and Beverage Service. They were trying to be tricky!
MARC Opick up was not actual address Counter woman spoke NO English Could not give directions It has U Haul sign out front but actual location was 4 blocks away Pick up took 45 minutes even after I checked in on line to avoid the wait Not good practice to rent and specify a location only to get there and the pickup was at another location entirely different
DANNY RVERY dangerous neighborhood, but helpful rental staff willing to provide above average customer service.
Nicholas CNever let the owner of Food & Beverage Industry help another person with Uhaul again. For starters I had to call the owner and he told me i do not have a rental and hung up the phone without another word. When I went into the store the teller said there are no trailers available today and to leave. After 30 minutes of phone calls I met the owner, who to this day I do not know his name, all I know is he was very rude and unprofessional. Once I paid he told me that the trailer that rented was about two miles away and I needed to follow him there. After the trip to the trailer he(the owner) just pointed out the window at a Uhaul trailer that was in a gas station parking lot. I pulled in and the trailer was parked the wrong way and was being held in place with a Gatorade bottle filled with urine. At this point I was confused but had to push the Uhaul trailer back about 10 yards and load the trailer on my truck alone. I have pictures of everything that happened and was told by a Uhaul representative that I would contacted but nothing so far. Please contact me for more details and pictures at Nghoward19@gmail.com
Nolan HThe location was in a very bad neighborhood. It was twenty minutes from the location we had chosen. There was a man laying on the ground passed out by the entrance of the business. At first we thought he was dead and we were going to call 911. We got there a half hour early only to find out that the employee at the business knew nothing about the rental. The man handling the transaction showed up at 11:20(twenty minutes late). In the meantime, gang members came in the store and we thought we were going to get robbed. The employee could not protect us since she was in a locked plexi-glass booth. The renter had no furniture dolley which I had reserved. We had to travel to another Uhaul location to obtain a dolley. This location should not be allowed to rent vehicles. If we had gotten robbed we would have been suing Uhaul for sending us to this dangerous neighborhood.
Michael CMake sure that the location that is given to the customer to pick up the UHaul truck is actually close to the customer's home.
