When we picked the truck up we were told it just got returned so it hadn't been cleaned. We rented the 10ft truck to pick up a full kitchen of upper and lower cabinets (an hour away) what we didnt know until we arrived, was there were three very large tires with rims in the truck. Very heavy and very large. They took up so much space that we were barely able to fit the items we rented the truck for. It was a big hassle to try to work our items around these three large tires. We dropped the truck off after hours, so my husband came to the office to tell the owner what had happened and he was less than apologetic, and basically said...oh well. We were not at all impressed. We spent $100 and were treated like we should be grateful for getting a truck at all, even one that had items left in it. Unbelievable!

DALTON HThey didn't have the truck there so it took about 15 minutes after our scheduled pickup time to get the truck. Then they said I had a utility dolly, which I didn't, I changed it to an appliance dolly and then charged an extra $3 for that. And it ended up being $196 instead of $177. Also the guy said "you need something?" when I got there which is a wild way to greet a customer.
Catherine GU-Haul changed locations from being 10 minutes from to to 60 minutes. They informed me of this 1 day before the scheduled move. I had reserved the vehicle 3 weeks prior to ensure that I had a truck and had called the Hendersonville NC site to reserve over the phone. They had told me I was all set. There was no way to get in touch with U haul and the local pick up sites would not help. The Hendersonville NC site told me that I made my reservation too early and there is never any guarantee o the location of your pick up site
KELLEY HThey ran my card for gas after I put gas in the truck. I got the truck with 144 miles till empty and I gave it back to the location on 170 miles on empty and they still charged my card so no, I would not recommend this location to a friend.

Gary ROriginally scheduled pickup at my local U-Haul rental store and a U-Haul person called me and said that an auto transport trailer was not available there. I would have to go to the next town over to pick one up. That store was not open on Sunday so the U-Haul person said I could pick it up on Saturday and return it on Monday morning with no charge for Saturday to Sunday. Because that store would be closed. I went to pick it up and the discount was not on my order and the total was over twice what was quoted to me. I told the guy at the pick up location the issue and what I was told and he got smart and had a bad attitude. I told him that I had scheduled it and it was discounted by the company to make up for the pick up changing to Saturday instead of Sunday. He continued to have an attitude with me and was not willing to work with me until I told him I had the number to the person at U-Haul that had contacted me and I would call her and get her to explain. While literally dialing the phone number his attitude changed and he corrected it to one day rental and no charge for Saturday. I assume he didn't want to have an issue with the company for not listing to a customer and giving me a hard time and a bad attitude. On the up side. The trailer was very nice and towed extremely well. It seemed to be in very good shape and well maintained.

tim bThe guy working at this location was very generous! He only had 1 truck & it was already observed for 6pm. I got there some time before 12pm. I told him that I just needed it for 1 hr. He went ahead and let me rent it for 2 hrs. Got back ahead of time and was very greatful for him doing me the favor

Glenn PAt drop off the guy told me that I did not have enough gas in the vehicle I showed him the picture of the vehicles mileage and the gas that I used when I picked it up. Yet I get a charge from Forest City for a tank of gas which is not what I used. The truck was returned and the condition that it was purchased for rental. I've been on the phone several times with customer representatives and issue is still not resolved. I would go to a higher truck rental if I knew I was going to get this kind of treatment.

ROBERT WDid not have the size wanted Told me that the great big was easy to drive but it was to big to get near enough to load with out walking with what you were load. Could not load big stuff because they did not have any hand trucks to use. Was very disappointed with the experience.
