Janet FThis experience was horrible. The initial drop off place was 8316 IL-9. This place does not exist. No directions that actually led to it. Calling the number and left a message with no return. Called the 800 number for help and no one could confirm its location . Causing me to drive around for at least an hour finally I had to find the one on Entec drive. Directions were equally poor. Finally found the drop off at Friendly storage. Location was not marked well, had to just park it and call and leave a message. Person called back and said to leave the truck by the others. Did not seem concerned there was no real office or drop off point. On top of it all I was charged for 20 miles. Had the initial drop off location existed I would not have had to drive back and forth in a circle before finally finding the one on Entec drive. It was definitely the worst moving experience ever.

Megan JI was initially supposed to pick my truck up at TNT Outlet on SW Jefferson in Peoria. I messaged them to alert them that i was running a few minutes late. We arrived at about 6:45p and their closing time was at 7pm. There was no one at the location and they did not answer the phone. The first person I talked to at UHaul continued to tell me that they have a strict closing time of 7. I was there 15 minutes before they closed and there was no one there. I was transferred to Reservation Services to try and find another truck. The woman I spoke with was very helpful and was able to find me a truck at Freedom Mini Storage. When we arrived we started doing the self check-in which can be confusing. One of the employees stopped by because he saw the request online and helped us get the keys. I really appreciated his customer service and willingness to come after-hours to help me.
MIRANDA MIt was dark and hard to find where the truck should be parked. I'd stick with places that have someone available to check the truck in.
Douglas FWe had to add 4 quarts of oil to the truck at pickup. There should be some kind of routine check of basic fluids.
Darcy SNot that it matters much, this was not the place I originally scheduled to drop it off at. No one there so it was a self serve location. Hard to provide great reviews. Was easy to park and drop the trailer.

BRANDON RI turned truck in on sunday and instead of returning my deposit to my card or giving me cash I was told I would receive a check in a day or two. It's Saturday now and still waiting. I was counting on having that money and live paycheck to paycheck so this has really caused a BIG problem for me.

ZACHARYRYAN WCargo area of the truck and ramp was covered in lint or insulation. Had to sweep it out before we could start to load it. Other than that it was a pretty good experience and the guy who rented the vehicle to me was very nice and accommodating.
Christopher DHave the trucks inspected before renting them out. I picked up my truck and the sun was shinning in so I didn't see it till I got almost back home and the windshield was cracked all the way across passenger side and there was dried soda all over passenger side door and it had not been cleaned before I got it. When I dropped it off in Davenport Iowa the guy asked me if I had did all of the stuff I had mentioned and I said NO it was like that when I got it and I explained to him the sun was shinning in and I didn't see it till I was almost home with it and he said it should of never left like that and I told him I took picture of it cause I did not want to get blamed for it and I called the the guy in bartonville and told him about it and he told me just let them know when I got to Davenport .I drove all the way to Davenport without a drink. I was upset that I rented it in Pekin Illinois and then they called me and told me I would have to pick it up I bartonville which was out of my way. They did give me extra miles for that but Pekin was closer to me that is why I went there. I will say the uhaul in Davenport off of
Regina TEasy pick up with zero hassle....Wish U haul would have a mandatory fill up every time, I wasted money filling it up in a state that was 60 cents a gallon higher then when i crossed the state line. Had the truck been full, i wouldnt have had to waste that money filling up
Christopher Mmike at bartonville illinois uhaul & lindsay at pekin illinois uhaul are two amazing employees, both were so nice and helpful,i felt loved. i felt that they cared for me and gave me all the info i needed when i asked questions,my truck renting experience was literally perfect because of their exceptional customer service. in my new town dropping off the truck was a breeze thanks to the 24hr key drop box. driving the 15ft truck was not to bad either, takes a little bit of adjusting to at first but nice once you get going. the only hiccup in the situtation was that i used to live next door to the in-town-moving uhaul in pekin illinois where i placed my order but the truck they provided for me was 10 miles away in bartonville illinois at the out-of-state uhaul. mike explained the reasoning for this and i understood completely, but still it would have been nice for uhaul to have an employee bring the truck to the closer location for convenience. overall i rate uhaul 999/1000 stars and would definetly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Dale NSuper friendly staff. U-Haul costumer service is terrible. Despite the staff at the location being helpful my overall all experience was horrific. I never plan to rent from u-Hal again and will share my experience with as many people as I can. Corporate customer service is extremely disappointing!

ron wNo one was at the facility, sign on door said closed due to COVID 19. Finally after calling customer service the manager finally showed up. Said fuel was at 1/2 tank when really 3/8. Did not reserve for this location 25 minutes from home but a localAction 5 minutes from home. Got text messages from CS saying they had tried to call me when I had the phone in my pocket all day, the texted the same number that was texted.
