When we got there on pickup day to get the truck, we got the key no problem. However, there was a lock on the back without a code. We called the 800 number and still couldn't get in. We had to wait until the following day to go back when the place opened to see about getting a code. My other choice was cancel the reservation and book another which I did not have the funds for after paying 900 $on this truck. Upon arrival the following morning we were there but the owner was not. We waited an hour after open time for her to show up only to tell us that was not her lock and we had to call the 800 number again to have them reach a regional manager to cut the lock off. This initial debacle caused us to move all hotel reservations ahead a day and reschedule movers for the following day. The lock debacle caused me to lose the moving help I hired as I only had them for 3 hours and by the time this lock was cut off and we got back to the house, the movers time I paid for was over. They were able to help load the first truck I had but not the second at all. Such a waste of time and money. This location is the worst. You'll lose money and time and the frustration isn't worth it.David B.

A nicer, well-staffed facility is desirable. Let me first say that the agent was very good and joyable to work with. But the location and quality of the facility is not up to par. Contrast with where I dropped off in the next section.Stephen G.

Sent to this location the day of return being told that it was open until 6 PM. Arrived at the location and it was closed. Called UHaul and then was told they close at 4PM. One of the WORST moving experiences with UHaul !Richard H.

I don't know about the facility because I didn't not enter the building. The truck was old and damaged from previous use. I rented the truck extra days and they charged for the insurance every day. Will never rent one again.Amanda G.

It was very hot in the building and they were having some kind of computer problem so it took forever for them to check in the guy in front of me and then have me check out the truck. Its July in southern GA..you have to have AC. Then the truck had a broken mirror and the little red indicator that told you what gear you were in was broken so you could not tell if you were in drive or reverse or park..etc. Then the kicker was the checking back in process. what a joke. the time it took to check out the truck and then check it back is was ridiculous. I was late(3hrs) getting the truck back..but the place was closed all day so no one was checking it out after me and I was charged for another full day! I know you have 6 and 12 hr rental times, I feel like I got a crappy truck and a crappy deal. This is why my family always uses Budget. I should have listened to them!.Janel L.

I scheduled to pickup at a location close to my move. My pickup time and location was moved to another location. That location did not have the truck I was scheduled to pickup. I was diverted to this location 20 minutes further away. I was also required to return to the further location. Due to the scheduling changes and issues my planned AM start time was pushed back 3 hours requiring me to work in the hottest part of a 100 degree day. I was denied my request for a 50 $credit for their reserve guarantee. I had extra fuel and mileage charges due to the change in pickup and return location that I will never get back. I have used Uhaul numerous times in the past but will highly recommend other truck and trailer rental services moving forward because of the experience and how it was handled by the customer service reps. I was hung up on before speaking to a rep twice when trying to figure out where my truck was while at the second pickup location and twice at completion of the rental. All 4 hangups were after waiting for several minutes to get through to a rep. Do not Go Uhaul.Joseph B.
U-Haul basically stole 200 $dollars from me. I was charged twice for my rental. It took 2 days to finally reach customer service. Which was no help and simply told me to call my bank. I set up a dispute to get my money back and still have not received anything in over two weeks now. I will not ever use uhaul again and strongly discourage anyone else from doing so, unless they too want their money stolen and never compensated.Dylan W.

Truck was dropped off after hours therefore did not have any first first hand experience with the staff however after the fact and via telephone was very happy and satisfied with all individual dealt with and would definitely recommend going to that location againearl G.

Give knowledge to U-Haul vendors so that if a customer needs help resolving a issue the response is not call U-Haul. I had an issue with the free storage room for a month offer. I arrived to the storage room, which was an hour and half from my previous resident and another hour and half from my new resident, thatI selected to find out that the owners did not honor the free storage room for a month. I called the U-Haul facility I rented my U-Haul from to find the closest storage room that honored the free storage. The owner hung up on me and refused to answer my calls when I called back. I called the 1-800 number for U-Haul I was on hold for 30 minuets. Luckily a family friend had a space I could put my items because by the time the U-Haul representative gave us extra miles for our inconvenience to get to my new location I had already been standing out side the storage facility for an hour. It was on a Saturday and after I was given a response to my issue all the closest storage rooms were closed and none were open on sundays so that would mean I would have to buy another day on the U-Haul. I also ended up paying for a storage lock through U-Haul that I never got a refund back on. I called the 1-800 number to get a refund and no one never answered. My overall experience with U-Haul has left me wishing that I would have just let my friends with trucks help me.Sharkira M.

This place didn't seem to inspect anything. There were half empty 2-liters in the cab, and a phone charger (mine now). The back had a couple piles of dust and little junk, and a big slat of wood probably left from a piece of furniture. Wasn't terrible, I guess, but definitely not clean. Plus the cab smelled like cigarette smoke doused in fabreeze. Blech. It settled enough after some driving to not be gross.Robert W.

The vehicle is a piece of junk.The steering was very loose and sloppy and had to pump the brakes for them to work properly and safely.I would not recommend anyone to use this truck until it is checked out.Very unsafe.I should have used another company with the problems we had including trying to pick it up.We reserved it online and when we went to pick it up the system would not let us so the representative had to do it as a walk in.What good is it to reserve on line when it doesn't except it when you go pick it up.Pretty unprofessional if you ask me.William L.

I was told truck was in Springfield GA but had to drive all the way to this location to pick it up. Which was way out of my way when I wanted to pick it up at Moore Storage in Rincon due to that is where my storage is located. Ask customer to check truck to make sure everything is ok. And have the R&D tags ready so customer doesn't have to wait. She was on phone when we got there so we had to wait until she got off to even start the rental.Brenda B.

There are no signs for anything. I wandered around the property and found an after hours uhaul sign (with no hours posted), on a loading dock behind a couple tractor trailers. I did not find a drop box, though the uhaul rep there said there is one. I kept the key since I couldn't find it. Nobody answered the phone until an hour and a half after opening. Finally got hold of someone and she was friendly and helpful. The place itself though, just needs some work to be representative of the uhaul name. At least put up signs that point you where to drop keys, and move the box to beside a door or something. All there was was a uhaul sticker on the side of the building, nothing else helpful outside. Kinda sketch for after hours drop offs. I was surprised.Robert W.

This is the second time I've used uhaul. Both times, I made reservations a week in advance and still had to got to three or four different locations just to find a truck. After I call and get assured by u haul that my truck will be at the first location. Not to mention that they have the worst customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. No one seemed to be concerned with the fact that I had all my furniture already out of my apartment and sitting outside awaiting the truck to arrive and the fact that the truck I reserved was not available. The rates are a bit high. I think it's ludicrous that a 29,95 truck that I needed in Springfield I had to pick up in Port Wentworth and drop off at the same location. That added so many more mile to my trip and thus, jacked up the fee I was saddled with. In the future, please just drop off u-haul trucks at the locations a customer requests instead of price-gouging them.JOSEPH C.
I arrived to pick up the truck and no one was there. I called division office and they tried to get in touch with the owner. An hour and twenty minutes waiting and she finally showed up. I was already having to go way out of my way to pick up this truck because I requested it to be picked up in Midway GA and they called me the day before to inform me that the closest one available is about an hour further south in Port Wentworth GA. The woman attending to the haul store/furniture store was incompetent and very unhelpful. She scheduled my return for a city the was 4 hours farther than my destination and charged me for the difference. She also didn't answer the phone for 6 hours while I was trying to get the destination changed. The depot in Shreveport said that I couldn't drop the trailer off until I got it straight. Very time consuming and frustrating.lindsay C.

The E-250 I rented was not Clean inside. I'm not a smoker so I had some allergic reaction to ashes on the console and dashboard. I started to get migraines as soon as I enter the vehicle. I returned the vehicle about 3 hrs into the rental day.Joe L.

Not upset about this location but the Savannah Location we were SUPPOSED to have picked everything up from. Ended up being sent to 2 different locations each an hour from us for each piece of equipment. The truck we rented turned out to be in HORRIBLE shape! The transmission was messed up and the gas tank was eating up 300-400 dollars per day!! When we got a new truck we only spent about 200 $total in the last 3 days of our trip!! Will be calling to get some money back for costing us so much money and extra days/nights on our trip!!REBEKKA C.
The truck had a gas sensor issue, when pumping gas, it only allowed you to put in 30 $in gas at one time . We had to stop every 40 minutes to pump gas, and this added 2 hours to our trip.ZOE S.
Personnel was not at the location when I arrived. I had to make 2 trips to the pickup location. The dolly I ordered was not available. Personnel had at least 6 children running around in the office. She was not apologetic at all and was very unprofessional. She also did not enter the correct drop off location. She entered the dropoff location in GA when I specifically told her SC. This was an EXTREMELY UPSETTING experience for me and I will not use U-haul again.CHERYL C.
