This location was great. They saved me by having a truck available in short notice due to my original reservation being cancelled without notice for no reason. On that note, I'd like to bring that issue to the attention of Uhaul. I reserved a 17' truck a week early (reservation: 29788084), set to pick it up at 7pm on Friday night via mobile. I was going to come pick it up, but the app told me "no equipment assigned to this reservation, please come check-in through the store". The store was closed at the time so I came back as soon as it opened the next morning. When I went in the next morning, I was told my reservation was cancelled and there were no other trucks available. I wasn't given any explanation as to why, no was there any attempt at restitution. It was frustrating as I had coordinated a dozen people to help move within the hour. As I mentioned, luckily Gateway Storage was able to accommodate me on short notice.

Make sure cabin is aired out or stick an air freshener to help with previous user’s smoking. I know it comes with the territory but at least a pine tree hanging from the mirror...oops, forgot there was no mirror...well anywhere it could hang. Other than that, transaction was smooth, attendant was quick, and I was on my way in no time.

I am not happy at all. I was charged $65 dollars, he never told me it was going to be another $79 on top of the $65. I put the right amount of gas in. I called customer service and they were no help. This was the worst experience and I’m not happy at all

Invest in an air Freshener, the cab was smelled fowl of smoke, my clothes are still carrying the smell. Also a clear sign saying that the office is open would have been great it was difficult to know the facility was open.

Lights on first car dolly did not work. Hookup on second try worked fine. Evidently first dolly hadn't been checked from previous renter. attendant caught problem when we hooked up. I am glad he was diligent in his job. Attendant at return checked condition, including lights, finf=ding everything fine shape.

Excellent Service. However, some clearer signage outside the gate that would tell people how to contact the office inside and gain entry would perhaps help. Right now, things are a bit confusing. Had it not been for a man mowing the grass who told me how to reach the office, I would have ended up using my mobile phone.

I suppose the location was fine for most people. I'm spoiled by having a giant UHaul near my house. They just didn't have the size I needed so I had to drive a longer distance 15 minutes away in an odd location behind train tracks and one direction streets. The entrance was confusing as to how to get in due to also bieng a storage unit place and the office was way inside the security fence with no obvious way to call the office from the street other than your own phone. We were hundreds of miles out on the road with sway and stability issues (from the moment we got the trailer, even when empty) when we discovered that one of the tires on the unit was not the same size as the other tires and another one had a screw in it. The UHaul rep also did not even walk out to the tralier parking area when we picked it up. He didn't help us in any way or check to make sure we knew what we were doing or had done it safely. He just said, "Its out back".

I had to rely on people with storage units inside the gated facility to let me in to speak with the manager after multiple phone calls had failed. I sat outside for hour before receiving help.

I came across every obstacle you can imagine. I got the Uhaul planning on keeping it 24 hours. The day of the move I misplaced the keys to the storage. The storage company told me they would not be able to cut the lock off for two weeks. My son called them and they cut the lock off but, they put a new lock on that I didn't have the keys to. This set me back two days with the Uhaul and going back and forth to the storage with the truck. My son stayed in touch with Uhaul who was very understanding. It all came together on Thursday when it should have been Tuesday. The guys at Gateway were outstanding. I am grateful and I will tell people about their customer service. Thank you so much. We were over charged, and the truck seemed to have clutch issues. Overall the truck itself was fine and the location wasn’t awful other than the customer service of the man there. Or major concern is that we were charge over $170 to have a truck for half of a day and drive less than 50 Miles. When we called U-Haul to inquire were told that we were definitely over charged but about $100 and we would get a refund but it never came. Then we called back and we’re told they needed to find the recording of the phone call for what we were told.

I reserved a dolly online but this location did not have one and it was simply excluded from my order. Would have appreciated having a dolly when moving!
