Van needed sweeping out but however, they were very nice and able to accommodate me last minute notice. If I need a U-Haul again, I will definitely go to this location.

Lori D.I was charged an additional $11 for coverage, even though I opted out when I made reservations. In addition the uhaul was completely dirty in the back part. We had to put sheets & covers down, to protect our belongings due to dirt.

Thomas C.When I looked on line, I was looking for a tandom axle trail. There were none available for 40 mile around Canandaigua NY, so I reserves a small truck at H and H. When I got there there were 4 tandem axle trailers. So I was able to change my reservation to one of the trailers. By the way. There were no small trucks available at H and H. If I did not change to a trailer, I would have had to get a larger truck. There are issues with correct unit availability in your online inventory.
Scott V.The owner of H&H Towing was reading a magazine and completely ignored me until I spoke to him asking for the key. He had an employee grab the key for me, and the employee brought the van around because the parking lot was so full. When he was backing it up, he backed up the van into the hitch of a uhaul trailer. When I got into the van, it was absolutely filthy with food all on the floor of the inside and crumbs on the dashboard. As I was driving away, it was raining and I went to use the windshield washer fluid and it was completely EMPTY. I've rented Uhaul vans several times and this was my first negative experience. I would never even consider this location again.

GLORIA C.The ENTIRE EXPERIENCE was HORRIBLE AND INCONVENIENT! The location was the ONLY thing that was accommodating. I drove it 4miles and became concerned and scared that something was wrong with the motor/engine as, it was NOT "shifting" into 3rd gear. After having to make a choice to either keep going n hope for the best or to pull off and call the 800, I decided on the second option. I couldn't imagine getting to the destination to load the entire truck n THEN it breaking down. Especially since It was a holiday weekend. The U-Haul assistant said that if I was comfortable driving it BACK to the lot that, we could make arrangements for a different truck/DATE/time AFTER the holiday weekend was over. I didn't want to ruin anyone else's weekend with having to come tow a U-Haul away so I stated that I would take it slow and return it back to the lot and that is what I did. A round trip of 8MILES. OH, but the excitement didn't end there. When I returned to the shop TODAY (Tues) to have my cash deposit returned to me .. it was a slap right in the face. The guy was down right rude AND out of line with me. In FRONT of 4 OTHER men that were sitting around eating peanuts!! FIRST I was TOLD that I had the truck in MY possession for more than 6 hrs which was NOT the case since it was only driven 8miles and IRRELEVANT to begin with since I had it rented for 24hrs. I had told him about what took place after I left the lot with the truck and he said that he wasn't aware or contacted regarding it. As I stood there waiting for my deposit to be handed back he was clicking away in a calculator. I made a comment along the line of, "holy moly, I'd hate to be the person who accumulated all those numbers that are being pushed", and giggled. He the stated that it WAS MY BILL that he was calculating. That I owe HIM money minus the security deposit I already had paid. I about fell to the floor. I asked for an explanation! His reply, "you had the truck for MORE THAN 6hrs(again, irrelevant), and drive it 80MILES." "EXCUSE ME SIR, COME AGAIN"!!?? "MA'AM, I'm not going to sit here and argue with you! I documented what the miles were before you left and once it came back! And another thing, I drove that truck the next day on the thruway to see what you were talking about and I got it up to 70mph n it drove like a charm so, there was NOTHING WRONG with the truck like you claimed there to be.."! Sir... You've CROSSED A DAMN LINE WITH ME! 1ST, U BETTER TAKE ANOTHER LING HARD LOOK AT YOUR DOCUMENTATION FOR THE MILES YOU CLAIM I DROVE, 2ND I DONT CARE IF I HAD THE TRUCK FOR 23HRS N 59 MINS, AND 3RD, SHAME ON ME FOR "FEELING" AS THOUGH THERE MAY BE A MECHANICAL ISSUE WITH THE TRUCK. I DIDNT KNOW THAT BY ME RETURNING THE TRUCK WITHIN AN HOUR OF PICKING IT UP, WAS GOING TO HAVE SUCH A HARD EFFECT ON YOU. AND IM SORRY, WHILE IM AT IT IF I RECALL CORRECTLY, YOU TOLD ME THAT YOU WEREN'T INFORMED OF THE ISSUE WITH THE TRUCK AND YET JUST STATED THAT YOU DROVE IT ON THE THRUWAY TO SEE WHAT ISSUE I WAS TALKING ABOUT! HMM WHICH IS IT, SMART ASS?? AND BTW, ARE U DONE CALCULATING MY ACTUAL MILES YET,??!! He researched the computer and low n behold, I drove that truck, 8MILES ROUND TRIP!!! 郎郎郎郎 I COULDN'T GET OUT OF THERE FAST ENOUGH n unfortunately, I DIDNT. I counted the money he handed me. I was STILL CHARGED THE ENTIRETY FOR THE RENTAL!!! I had, HAD IT!! I LEFT. Called U-HAUL once I was home and they have 72hours to contact me back with a DECISION as to whether or not to give me a FULL REFUND, NO LESS!

This time it was so bad that I was given a truck with keys, and there was no record of my reservation. Caused phone call and time spent to fix this problem. At this point I don't care the cost if it comes to renting a uhaul and buying a box truck to use for my move. I would rather go the box truck. Difference in price is worth it to not add to a stressful experience of moving.

Jim G.I returned the vehicle before the time time out period and handed keys to same guy who gave me the keys. There are 5 witnesses but yet they clocked it in 4 hours later and charged another day. Anybody going to read this?

A few hours after confirming my booking, I received an email stating the truck I needed would be ready at 2pm 30 minutes from my preferred pick up location. That time and distance wouldn't work for me. It was a hassle trying to find a 27 foot truck locally even though the website would allow me to reserve one.

Yelled at me several times about backing up to the trailer, which was crammed back in a corner. Many things were blocking it & there was an extremely small window to get car/trailer in & out. A personal vehicle was in the way & could have been moved, but no offer was made to move it. This person should be fired!

JSTANLEY M.The location condition was fine, but the truck was reserved 3 months ahead of time at the Penn Yan, NY location, with plans to pick up the truck there. This is 25 min away from the Lyons Rd. location. However we had to drive to Geneva to get the truck, and then were required to return it to that location or pay $1000. This seems unreasonable, considering the advance notice that was given for the truck rental in Penn Yan.

Nicole A.H&H towing was a great location and was incredibly helpful and great. Uhaul and Uhaul customer service was awful. My reservation was cancelled when I called to try and change the time and I wouldn't have been told until the day before. Customer service offered no help to try and remedy this. After calling multiple times to the location of my reservation and being redirected to a location in Connecticut the person was able to find the wrong truck over an hour away on a different day where I had to take off work. When I got to the location the truck wasn't even there and neither were other trucks for other customers. H &H towing was able to fix a truck they had on the lot for me to take and save the day. Uhaul had a horrible reservation system and customer service did not even attempt to help. I am incredibly disappointed and will not return as a customer.
Benjamin L.The battery on the truck died. Equipment not maintained. Called customer service that Sunday didn't seem to care Was given no paper work when truck was picked up. Picked truck up Thursday morning like 10:30 dropped off Sunday night so only had it four days. I don't know why it $99 at 19,99 a day. This rental was done on July 11 here it is July 21 and just finally getting a bill.
Darryl C.I arrived at the initial pick up location in Waterloo, NY only to find that it had been changed to the Geneva, NY location. I cannot comment on whether the equipment was well maintained but I can say the moving van didn't break down. The 15' was old with over 60 000 miles on the odometer. The shocks may have needed to be replaced as it rode atrociously but that may have been normal and not having any insulation on the fiberglass connector between the cab and the box resulted in constant roar on the road, resulting in ringing in our ears that continue even now. I even tried ear buds to try to reduce the noise level.

I drove 27 miles to be told, you can sit and wait till they get here... after an hour they said, oh, maybe in another couple of hours. I finally got the keys and the van hours late. they still booked my return time as the original. I will go any where else at this point
Joseph S.Tuck was parked in, scheduled pickup at 7 am and office was closed. Check engine light was on. Cab of truck was filled with gaterade bottles and trash. Back of truck was not swept. Uhaul charged me for gas although I replenished the tank as instructed.
