The tires were bald oil light was on and the guy knew all that I will not go to that place ever again let alone I was over charged also I reserved a 10 footer and went to pick it up and they had none so they sent me to a second place and they didn't have one either so they ended up giving me a 15 footer which was the worse uhaul I ever drive and I reserved 3 weeks in advance. In my opinion that place needs shut down. Very unhappy and will go else where when I need a moving truckJack M.

I had taken the time to properly reserve a 10 foot vehicle online. Once at the pick up location, i was told that the shortest vehicle available was a 20' and 26' vehicle. There was a 15 foot vehicle parked on the lot at my arrival however, I was told that the young female customer without a reservation in front of me had just rented the 15 foot vehicle. Why go through the reservation process, when a "walk in customer" has preference over the lot? The much larger vehicle issued to me had large orange food crumbs on the passenger seat, in the floor boards, in the cup holders and dash pockets. The interior was sticky and disgusting. Evidently this vehicle had not been cleaned in some time. My wife and I washed everything down with clorox wipes prior to our usage of the vehicle. I absolutely did not reserve or ask for the "furniture pads" that were in the rear of the truck when it was issued to me. However, I was charged for them. My guess it that the previous occupants were too lazy to fold the pads, and the Uhaul representative that issued the vehicle to me was too lazy to remove them, therefore I was charged for them? With my son in college I find myself having to rely on rental moving vehicles in order to move in and out of dorm/apartments yearly. Until now, my experiences with Uhaul has been excellent. My pick up time was 2PM. I arrived at 1:50PM and found a note on the door that the owner was gone to lunch. I waited until just past 3PM for him to show up. I had seriously considered calling the 800 number to see if there was another location to pick up the trailer. When he arrived he was not apologetic for making me wait and seemed to be in no big hurry to take care of me. I understand that U-Haul is not his primary business, but I went with his location because it was a guaranteed reservation. That guarantee should include being on time.Dwight B.

We were told we were going to be charged 165 $for a 4 day rental. Terry (The owner) started he wouldn't charge us for Sunday because he was closed. He also said that the dolly and blankets on the truck stayed with the truck at all times so even if we didn't need them they stay with the truck. We were charged almost 500 $! We were charged for insurance which was never discussed. We were charged ridiculous gas mileage even though we only drove 70 miles and the gas needle barely changed. We called the 1800 uhaul number and was told they would submit an incident and we'd hear from a manager in 3 days. It's been a week and we haven't heard from anymore regarding our concerns.ANDREA M.

Horrible!! Supposedly they were open until 5:00 pm. I showed up at 2:30 pm and the sign on the door said OPEN but nobody was around. I waited for 30 minutes, tried calling their number, tried calling U-haul but was informed it would be a 20 minute wait. I finally left and wend to a computer. Tried messaging U-haul -- didn't even get a response. After multiple attempts, I finally drove around and found another U-haul location that was open. The man there informed me that I would be charged extra if I left the car hauler with him. He said I should be OK if I just leave the hauler at the location that wasn't open so that's what I ended up doing. It worked out because I received a receipt the next day but how would they ever know I returned it if someone would have come by and stolen it. As of now - three days later, nobody has returned my calls or given me any explanation. HORRIBLE customer service by both U-Haul and the individual location. Unbelievable !!!Theodore S.

Being a veteran, you did not give any type of discount. I got caught up in the gas situation in North Carolina had delay traveling for 4 days. I called to see what type of assistance I could get. These are my grap.thadduss H.

The office was closed during business hours. The name on the sign was not the same as the name on the Uhaul contract. No one answered their phone or returned voicemail messages to acknowledge return of the rental truck. We ultimately received an email with the final contract charges the following day.Laurence T.
While the location and owner were incredibly helpful, the auto-relocation UHaul is doing when trucks/lots aren't available is unacceptable. The woman in line behind me couldn't get the truck she needed and she (like myself) had to drive 30 miles outside of where she lived to get a truck. There needs to be a more straightforward way to let people know where they need to be rather than just texting them a new address the day they need to pick up their vehicles.William W.

you cost us a lot of money because we had to pay salaries for 2 days. The only compensation we received was one free day, still had to pay all the miles for 2nd day. truck was not where we were told it would be for pick up.BRENNON P.
Rented a 26â€ truck and when I arrived to pick up the vehicle.. they told me that the 26â€ was not available. Ended using a 20â€ because I had no time to find and go to a different location. I ended putting 50 more miles because I had to doble the number or loads. But the 50 $dollars U-Haul offer to guarantee the availability of the equipment... no one knows anything about that!David F.

The person running the location was apparently picking up another renter's personal vehicle or something, so he wasn't there for about 30-40 minutes. Once he did get there, the process was relatively quick.JEFFREY D.

No one was available at the office. Office was apparently closed for Labor Day. I was also not given instructions on how to fill out drop off in the event the office was closed. Did not know what instructions were until vehicle was locked and key was in the drop box. Poor instructions on the part of the renting location. Needs to be better verbal communication for those of us who are older and not as savvy in using web sites and electronic data entry. In the rental instructions no where was mentioned about taking care a picture of the odometer reading at dropoff if the location was closed. Plus toll free number has too long of wait times. My time is valuable just as everyone else.Leonard F.

He could not figure out how to hook up lights even though I told him it was near the spare. I hooked it up when I got home. But he was very personable and professional. Would definitely go back!Debra C.
Recommend with hesitation. The employee was friendly, but it appeared he didn't do much UHAUL business. It took over 45 mins to have him process my rental and get me out to the truck. Once there, he told me that he "didnt have the 24 furniture pads that I had ordered." I then got into the truck and the gas tank was a full needle width below 1/2 tank, but the rental form indicated half. Then the employee told me he had called a neighboring rental location that had pads. I drove there, and not only did they not have pads, they didnt even know I was coming. I suspect he called a corporate number and not the other location directly. I then drove back to his location where he said he was going to get pads, and he got me approximately 6-7 and at that point I had to be on my way. I had to have these since I was leaving same day and transporting mostly furniture. Also, the overall delay cost me about 2,5 hours of a delay. Throughout the experience, however, the employee was friendly, and genuinely trying to help me. I just think he was a little overwhelmed. I called UHAUL on my drive to report that I was not going to have the 24 blankets to return on my drop off, and all she could offer me was a 20 dollar refund for the pads? I wasn't looking for a money handout, but she didn't seem too interested in helping.Robert W.
