This was the worst experience we have ever had. We went to the address that we were emailed from U-haul. The truck(15 foot) we were reserved to get, was not there. I called U-haul and was told that the truck hadn't been returned by the previous renter, but we could get a larger truck(2o foot) that was there at no additional charge. This wasn't ideal for us, but at this point we were already 1,5 hours behind schedule, so we decide to take it. When we went to get the key, it wasn't there. Joyia with U-haul, emailed me a picture of the lock box, and this was not the location where we were, but I did recognize the strip mall. We get in the car and drive to the second location and get the key, while there we see the truck that we originally were suppose to get, (but Joyia says she has already switched the trucks and we should take the larger one), so we drive back to the location where the truck is located, my credit card is charged at this time for 600+ dollars. We get in the truck, crank it and it sounds like a drag car. It was so loud it was ear piercing. My husband looks underneath it and the catalytic converter has been sawed off it. We could not drive it on a 4+ hour trip. So I ask Joyia to switch us back to the smaller truck, she said she could not do that but reservations could, so she transferred us over. I was then told by them that a Field Manager would have to be contacted, and they weren't able to get a hold of them since it was on a Sunday. I was told I should receive a call back in 15 minutes, 30 minutes later I called back and was rudely told that only a field manager could help me. I was told some one would contact me the following day! I also got a smart mouth girl that said to me "so your mad at me because you can't listen", and was hung up on by her. Yes, I'm mad that my card has been charged, I'm now 3 hours late from leaving, and NOTHING is being done to correct the situation! I was told that a field manager will have to call me the following day to give me a refund! It's now been 4 days and I've yet to hear from anyone from U-haul, and my credit card is show 3 charges totaling $1375.21, with a $50 credit. If I don't have the full amount credited by October 30th, I will be contacting the Federal Trade commission.

They just need to check the plugs on the taillights one was not connected properly and did not work and was told it was my taillight wiring when in fact it was the plug on the right side of the trailer that wasn't connected properly the rubber ring was broke so it wouldn't plug in all the way but my brother fixed it and all went very well.

Terry WThe truck was well maintained mechanically and ran well, but the box had a leak. We drove through several hours of rain. Bottom of a mattress cover was wet and 3 boxes had wet bottoms. After seeing that I saw where some patch work had been done, but it is still leaking some. I told the representative when I returned the truck.

James FI've used U-Haul several times over the last 3-4 years. Local employees are fantastic. Corporate U-Haul, not at all. Every rental I've reserved online resulted in a phone call the day prior to pickup telling me the item isn't available at that location. Beyond frustrating! How about U-Haul be honest with their reservation at time of reservation, not just the day prior to pickup. Each occurrence has resulted in me having to rearrange my schedule. If U-Haul wasn't the only game in town I'd definitely go elsewhere

sherry TI really did not want to do the phone app drop off because of the truck I had rented. I wanted it inspected by a live person before leaving it. The proprietor was not there and had a sign on the door that he or she would be back at 3 p.m.. They did not return and apparently were out doing other things. So after waiting for 30 minutes I did the phone app drop off. Was not able to see the inside of the business or meet the person so can not rate it. Would not recommend it either. Poor way to run a business.

Tomacina DTry harder to allow customer to pick up in the city they need. My trailer was sitting right next to my hotel in Beaver Dam. I made the reservation a week ahead. 2 days before needed I am told I will need to drive 13 miles to pick up as my preferred location doesn't have the trailer available. After my horrible experience in Steele Ridge I drive trailer to Lidtke Motors to have installation checked and get instructions on proper use. Guess what? The 5 x 8 trailer I had to drive 13 miles for was sitting right there on their lot! Very frustrating experience. The only positive was Eric from Lidtke Motors. He actually cared whether I made it safely to my destination even though he had no skin in the game. You need to vet your rental locations better. Wenninger Auto Sales is a dirty shack of a place with no interest in helping people. They don't care if you are safely hooked up and they are a poor representation of the Uhaul brand.

Morris MTheir advertised hours are 8am-6pm Monday-Friday and 8-4 on Saturday. I dropped the trailer off on Monday around 8:15am and they weren't open yet. I did the online drop off and left the place around 8:25, and they still weren't open.

Earl SDon't rely on making online reservations. I did and the vehicle was not available. Luckily, another vehicle became available, but that put me almost 3 hours behind schedule. U-haul online reservation sucks and I will never again use it. The guy at this location saved the day for me. I give him 5 stars. U-Haul on the other hand, 0 stars. Fix your computer system.
