Don't try to drop off during hours when the employees might be off. The facility is behind a locked gate with which you need a code. Luckily when I was trying to drop off, people who utilized the storage facility were available to let me through.

Wendy was absolutely one of the most pleasant ladies I have ever had the chance to deal with in this industry. She was so helpful and nice and informative and really made our experience so much better. ❤️ she really deserves a raise. You just can't find people like her anymore that work with the public.

Karla JI was told when the reservation was made that the store was closed for lunch until 2 pm. I had a 2 pm reservation. I arrived at 1:55 pm and it was closed. At 2:10 pm, I called the phone number on the Store Front. Wendy answered and stated she was at lunch. I informed her that was told that you would be at lunch until 2 pm. I had a 2 pm reservation. When she arrived she did my paperwork. I was in a hurry because I wanted to get the rental vehicle back before they closed at 4 pm. I asked if they would open until 4 pm and Wendy stated that she was leaving early and would be closed by 3:30 pm. In a hurry to leave I did not check my paperwork closely. Wendy told me that the bill would be approximately $54.00. I said no, my reservation estimate was $43.00. She stated, no the bill would be $54.00. In a hurry to leave and get back, I did not argue. I arrived back at the location at 3:35 pm and Wendy was still there. I quickly parked the van and went inside. While Wendy was checking the mileage and the van, i located my reservation and noted a collision waiver had be added to my bill. I did not have this on my original reservation. I told Wendy about this and she stated that my bill was $53,2 and there is nothing she can do about it. She told me to contact the 800 number and gave me the number 1-800-535-6762. I left dissatisfied. I had some issues the previous day. I made a reservation and then approximately an hour later I received a call from a lady, I am sorry I did not get her name, who informed me that she was unable to honor my reservation. I told her about the reservation guarantee. She apologized again and told me to call the 800 number. I called the 800 number and got Laura Hudson, the Traffic Control Manager on the phone. You should make her Vice President of Marketing and Customer Relations!! She handled my reservation issue and totally satisfied any concerns I had. She then attempted to get my Reservation Guarantee refund. Laura stated that her computer was a little slow and was not booting up properly. She did not stop there or let it stop from trying to assist me. Laura told me that she would send me a text with a direct number to her and to please call her the next morning and she would solve my problem. And SHE DID!! No issues, no problems. She informed me that a $50 refund would be on my credit card account. Laura warned me that it might take a couple of days to show up as it depends how the card company handles the transaction. i said thank you and good bye. I had such a pleasant, wonderful experience with Laura. Thank You Laura. This brings me back to my collusion waiver. I called the direct line Laura gave me at 5 pm in hopes that she would still be there. Unfortunately, she was not. I explained my collision waiver issue with Joseph. He tole me that I have to contact the store that I got the van from to rectify the problem. Now I will be caught in the who will take responsibility conundrum. I would like the $11 collision waiver refunded back to my credit card. If you go through all the reservation steps i did via computer and with Laura, you will see that I never authorized the waiver fee. Thank you for your time and consideration. John Moran
John MThe site is protected by a gate and no code was given to access the area. I had to wait to follow someone in. The uHaul keydrop lockbox had been vandalized and actually opened when I dropped the key inside. I removed the key out of theft concerns. I attempted to call uHaul but was placed on hold for an extended time. I found an emergency contact number posted on the door and contacted Joey was very helpful and had me use a different dropbox for the storage facility.

Michael HAfter having used U-haul several times over my entire military move, I have been most pleased with the ease of use, the actual renting of and use of the vehicle and the absolute expert customer care I have received. I know that in a post-Covid life prices of everything are a bit different and sometimes more expensive than prior Covid. But to have the actual cost of a rental exceed the "estimated" rental by 3 times is absolutely ridiculous. The charges explained to me on the day of pick up were nearly $100 less than the actual charges I incurred. I did everything right: returned the vehicle with a full tank, moving blankets folded and inside the truck and no trash inside whatsoever. I took care of the truck like it was my own and didn't speed, kept more of a distance in traffic than usual and returned it EXACTLY the same way I rented it. So why am I paying so much more for a trip that occurred in town, less than 75 miles (which was my estimate) and have a "convenience fee" of $20 to have the U-haul associate return it for me the next business day when it wasn't explained to me to try and complete the return myself on-line?! I would have hired someone to move the items for me and still saved money compared to how much I used the truck for, which was around 6 hours. If you read this, please know that the extra charges are what get you. It's not the "29,95 rental, plus x.xx per mile, it's everything when you complete your move. Go to Home Depot, rent their little truck for an entire day for in town moves and save yourself some money. Or hire someone. Either way, the extra charges won't sneak up on you and you won't have to pay a u-haul associate to return the vehicle….which is there job anyways. U-haul, please feel free to reach out to me to discuss this. I would love to hear why the charges are so much more than most people see reserving or picking up their rentals. Merci.

Kevin HI called a few days earlier to make sure I could drop off on a Sunday. Told I would be given a gate code at pick up. They had no idea about a code. Drop off is surrounded by a gate with no where to leave keys. Sheer luck someone was behind the gate and after I flagged him down he opened the gate. Otherwise I would have had to drive the truck an hour away and return next day. After dropping the truck off there was no way to exit. I had to climb the 6' fence to get out. If uhaul was expecting me it seems like the gate code could have been part of the exit text, or someone could have called me.

Kendra LChristy and Carol at Safe Store on Hwy 22 were very accommodating by meeting all of my needs for renting a cargo van for work purposes. I have rented a storage unit from them for over 11 years and they know me as a good customer. I was very aggravated by the UHaul representor Darryl from Picayune, MS with the phone number 601-347-4348. I had given them my Company's credit card but gave them the wrong CV number. Carol called me at 2:03 on the 1/19 but i missed her call and was listening to her message and 2:07, 1/19 your Rep called and said "Carol is trying to reach you for the CV number"....he acted like I was ignoring her call and trying to get away with something which made me feel horrible for her and me. I hope this isn't a normal practice and we should all get an apology from him.
Carin GDaryl the field manager was excellent, he went over and beyond to help us rent a trailer, even working after hours to make sure we were safe with uhauls's equipment. Christy the office attendant stayed after hours until we got there to pick up the trailer and the other attendant ( I think her name was Carol) helped to check us in and was very efficient. Very good experience because of those employees mentioned.
Miguel BAre not there when supposed to be, do not return calls, say they don't handle trailer returns. Despite having returned one there before and was listed as a drop off place online and for me to pick from by uhaul. How to improve? Drop them as a uhaul contractor. Worse than worthless. This place has me completely rethinking if I will use uhaul again in 6 weeks as I was planning. The time I spent trying to get their job jone was unacceptable.

She said she knew nothing about unhooking trailers ! .. so I did it and had then to find a place to have the grease removed .. again .. yes this was a disaster.

James CWorst customer service I have every experienced. Sales lady was rude, cursing several times, and disrespected myself and my colleague. She then told me I could not bring the trailer to the closest location to where I was moving, I had to drive an additional 62 miles out of the way to bring it back to that location. Then in an attempt to make up for how she acted, she said since I had to turn it in about an hour late, I would not be charged the second day, which I was charged anyway. I have used uhaul several times and this is by far the worst.

Kelley CThe move did not start off well, as I'd refused the additional coverage and yet it was added and my card already charged. When I brought this to the attention of the rep, she reversed the entire charge and was about to charge my card a second time. Knowing that the reversal charge would not immediately be available, I informed the rep that I did not have enough to cover double charges. She continued to say it would be immediately reversed on my card, to which I told her it would not happen. We finally contacted Uhaul and they advised not to recharge my card at that time, but I spent the 4 days sweating whether my card would be cleaned out by another charge. In the end, the charges were reconciled without a double charge.

Evan GHorrible experience on website- kept crashing while making reservation. UHaul Computers were down when I? went to pick up, so it took an hour to pick up a $20 trailer. Ridiculous. Staff was very nice and apologetic, but UHAUL SUCKS! I? won't be back.
