The location UHAUL said to drop the truck is NOT the correct location. On the front door of the store is another address 5 mins away where I had to take the truck. Once I got there (Buffalo wild wings), I had to walk the parking lot aimlessly to find the Dropbox. instructions lacked details and it was VERY FRUSTRATING after a long day of moving stuff

Husam S.Drop off location is not very accessible for a big truck, location is not readily identifiable as a uhaul store either. Drop off location had a taped piece of paper on the window redirecting me (customer) to drop off the equipment at a second location/address. Then had to download and install the app to drop off equipment at the second location. Door to store was locked during business hours so no attendant to confirm anything with the drop off.
ANDREW T.When I arrived to pick up my truck is was not ready. I was turned away stating that they actually had no trucks left even though I made a prior reservation. My reservation was for a different drop off location about 40 minutes away. They gave me a same location truck so I had to drive all the way back to this location. Finally I received a truck. It was dirty with crumbs and trash everywhere. I still accepted sir because I was short on time and reserved a truck and needed to move. When I turned on the truck it smelled of gas and fumes. The engine light was even on. Terrible. I should have said “NO†but I had to leave my apartment in time and already had family members waiting to help. Later in the day while driving the temperature outside turned hotter. Upon getting in the truck to drive it guess what. No AC. The air did not work. This was the worst experience I have ever had.

Mobile app not working for check in and based on the mileage, I was charged for someone else's mileage and gas after I returned truck.
Richard V.Ordered a utility dolly with my reservation, when I showed up to pick up I was informed they didn't have one but I could check the backs of the trucks for one. It would have been nice to have been informed ahead of time that it wasn't available so I didn't waste time on reservation looking for one
Craig F.We had to go to a vacuum rental location to Pick up contract and keys. Then we were supposed to get a code emailed or texted to us so that we could then access the keys. The keys and the rental were at a different location. The message wouldn't go through, we couldn't get the code, the poor guy that worked the vacuum cleaner who was not an employee of U-Haul was struggling to help us. It was not his job. He was not hired by U-Haul so I do not blame him. It took us 45 minutes to pick up our truck! It was ridiculous

When we got there, there was a note on the door that said we need to drop off the vehicle at a different location, about 5-7 minutes away. Awful process for dropping off vehicle!

Naveen Kumar P.When I opened the cargo on the van to load it up, there was an incredible stench of urine inside. The back of the van had over twenty Uhaul branded blankets stashed in the cargo area, half of them wet with urine! I had to clean the whole cargo area before I could use it. Upon return of the van I told the manager of my experience and he said I will be reimbursed for my rental. Not only there was no reimbursement on the bill I just received, but I was also charged additional $15 for “Move Easierâ€, even though I declined Damage protection and all other add-ons.

Jose G.I'm afraid poor communication and advertising hurt this location, which is actually a vacuum store. Store staff say they are prohibited from advertising that they also rent U-Haul equipment, and that makes locating them, verifying that they are indeed a U-Haul agent and then finding the separate location to pick up the U-Haul equipment difficult. In addition, the information on the U-Haul app about the pick-up and drop-off of vehicles for this location (which is separate from the store itself) is confusing and should be updated. In my frustration about all of this, I snapped at an employee. I apologize for my rudeness; it is not their fault. I guess U-Haul corporate must calculate that people will rent their equipment regardless of the difficulty working with a franchisee. I'll look more closely at Penske the next time I need to rent a vehicle, or at least use a different U-Haul location. Merci.
David H.Better communication on drop off location. I had to call when I arrived at the strip mall with an oversized vehicle to be told the actual drop off was somewhere else. Not happy

There were no immediate instructions on how to make the drop off no contact phone number to use and your very own website couldn't even find the requested location on the store locator function. After talking with somebody at the help desk and driving around for half an hour I finally got a contact number and found out the proper instructions for leaving it at this remote site.
Daniel J.Picking up from this location is a puzzle box from hell. First, the employees at the pick up location (a vacuum store), has no clue about the uhaul service person who is actually supposed to provide the keys and outfit the vehicle with the equipment I ordered. They sent me back and forth from the initial location where I was supposed to pick up the keys to a second location where the van was. The van was at the second location, however the keys were not. What ensued was an hour of me (and another customer going through the same absurdity) driving back and forth from both locations until the person with the keys actually showed up. Again, without properly outfitting the van with the equipment I ordered. Don't worry though, you'll still be charged for it! DO NOT ORDER FROM UHAUL. Spend your money at Home Depot for a much easier experience…and you'll actually get what you ordered. PS the tire pressure for both front tires was waaaay low. Entirely visibly just from the outside and the dashboard indicators were going nuts. Fortunately they didn't explode and result in a deadly accident. I notified uhaul of the condition of the vehicle but have no hope they'll do anything about it.
Reinoehl D.I drop off on line ,I could not find the location on google , it always gave me different location i was waiting for U-hall site to give me code for almost one hour in 97 degree weather plus you have to go to this address to do on line drop off and take the truck to a different location I really had a hard time to drop off to this location . something needs to be change
PIERREC Z.I was charged 30 dollars more than expected. I was never provided with the tool that o requested and I was told that I will get a refund. But in the contrary I was charged 30 dollars more than the booking. I did not like it at all. I won't rent again.

Tyler L.I could not find this location. I called and was told the address changed years ago and I was given the accurate address. Actual location is the parking garage off of James Swart Circle between Buffalo Wild Wings, 11204 James Swart Cir, Fairfax, VA 22030 and X Sport Fitness, 11220 James Swart Cir, Fairfax, VA 22030. The key drop off box is located along back of parking lot to far left closest to X Sport Fitness. I have no idea where the pickup office is located but it's no longer at the location you have on your website.

The address for where Iclean was is not marked for UHaul and there is an 11x8 sheet of paper in the window, which is not very noticeable, with instructions to start the check in process and then go to the location where the trucks are kept. What is the point? Why not send customers directly to the truck location?

I shouted - Hello anyone work here? I was waiting in the store 20 minutes and could not get help. The app check out was great.

It is incredibly confusing to be sent to one address- that is closed for a good portion of the U-Haul availability slot, with no semblance of anything U-Haul related on site only to be redirected 5 minutes away to get the U-Haul truck. Thank goodness for other reviews posted otherwise I never would have found the actual trucks. An inconvenience and unnecessary added stress when moving.

Stephen S.It was very confusing to find the place to pick up the keys, and then the trucks are somewhere else entirely, and I was never told where the afterhours dropbox for the keys was... I got lost three times in the process of trying to pick up and return the truck/key. The name of the store is not what's on UHaul's website, and because there's no trucks there, I couldn't just guess where I was supposed to go. The truck itself was fine, just the process to pick it up/return it after needs work.

Grant B.The only reason why I wouldn't recommend is due to the location. There's no one to help you set up the your truck or if you need help signing in. The “pickup location†is inside a cleaners store in which they had a sign that they were just a physical location to do the process in the app. Then, you had to go to another parking lot to find the truck you were assigned and continue the check in process. If you got logged out due to the lapse in travels, you had to go back again to do it all over. The perosn also forgot to put the code and keys in the lock box so we were traveling back and forth waisting gas trying to figure what went wrong on checking process.
Zerena M.Last Wednesday, May 24th, I had a reservation for Cargo Van and the picking up time was self check in at 8:30am. My family drop me off at the picking up location which indicated in the order, but actually all the Uhaul trunks are not parking in this location but need to walk about 10 minutes to a shopping center. Something worse was that after I finished all the steps on the Uhaul App, they didn't send me the code for taking the key from the key box. It was already one hour late than my picking up time. I had to call the customer service and the picking up location store but they both were not open, noboday answered the call and either online response. So I had been wating there from 8:30-10:30. Then what was the point I reserved my picking time and moving time at 8:30am? The movers in my house had been waiting for me, too, and I had to pay them $50 for extra waiting time. The other lady's family who behind me experienced the same thing that morning. This is the worst service I had ever experienced. I think Uhaul should pay back to me the extra $50 which I paid to my movers.

Margaret S.The location was hard to find because it was under a vacuum store. There is a paper with the instructions on the glass door of the store but you won't see it if you driving in a big truck. I had to ask a person in the store next door to find out after driving around for 10 minutes

JENNIFER T.The pickup location was very confusing. The address is a vaccuum store, with no U-Haul vehicles in the parking lot. The sign in the window of the vaccuum store had instructions to drive 0,5 miles away to the parking lot where the U-Haul vehicles could be found--however when we arrived at the parking site to do a mobile pick-up, our GPS location in the U-Haul app showed that we were in the wrong location for pick-up since we were no longer at the address of the vaccuum store, so we had to drive back to the vaccuum store to check in. We drove back to the parking lot to get our keys but were given no code to access the key lock-box so we drove back to the vaccuum store again and were told that we needed to pick up the keys at the vaccuum store, even though the sign in the window of the vaccuum store had instructed us to pick up our keys in the lockbox of the parking lot where the U-Haul vehicles were. Additionally we had tried to call the vaccuum store a few times during the process to figure out what the confusion was, but it was very hard to get in touch with them and we were placed on hold several times.

The trucks cargo area was not checked for cleanliness. I filled a 55 gallon trash bag with their leftover items and trash. Moving blankets all over and hand cart rolling around. I will never agree to pick up at a satellite Uhaul location again. Uhaul called and asked me to to this for them to help get this truck bCk to Pennsylvania. Felt like I gir ki jed in the nuts fir helping.

We wasted 20 minutes trying to find it and then another 20 minutes on call with U-Haul customer support to do a manual check in. The online check in didn't work because of the different location. Also, the furniture dolly ordered and paid for wasn't in the truck.
Marsha B.The gentleman running things was very nice, understanding and efficient. However, the truck steering wheel has snot/mucus all over it (submitted pics) - absolutely disgusting. The store and the truck are in 2 different locations which adds mileage, confusion, and inefficiency. I drove back and forth when dropping off between the store and the parking lot 4 times and the gps would not pickup my location to allow me to complete the documentation needed to close my trip.
Erin D.Worst rental experience. Upon picking up the vehicle, I went to the location that was given, IClean Air Products LLC 11110 Lee Hwy Fairfax, VA 22030 and there were no uhaul trucks there. After refilling out all of my information on your site again, I had to wait for approval for the reservation. Once it was approved it told me to go to a different location where I could find the truck. No exact address was given except for stating it is near the Buffalo Wild Wings but luckily I knew where the Buffalo Wild Wings was. When I get there the video showing how to get the key says there should be a lock box in the truck which there was not. I located the lock box stand and proceeded to unlock for the lock station. I tried for 10 minutes to unlock the lock with the provided code but the leveler on the lock wouldn't budge. After getting it off, I went to the van and there was a dirty old comforter in the back. When trying to record the gas amount it did not allow me to put the correct amount so I had to round up to 3/4 of a tank. After using the truck and refilling it's gas to 3/4 of a tank, I went back to where I picked it up at Buffalo Wild Wings, as there were no instructions on an exact location to drop off in the pick up instructions. I then went through the steps of returning it and it told me to go back to another location of where I was originally told to pick it up at IClean Air Products LLC 11110 Lee Hwy Fairfax, VA 22030. This was ridiculous. I then drove to that location only for the drop off instructions to tell me to drop the keys in the drop box but there was NO drop box here. The only drop box was at the Buffalo Wild Wings so I then had to drive back to this other location again to drop off the keys in the box. This was a waste of time and money for the truck and waste of money of my own gas. I will never use this 24/7 service again. If I ever do use uhaul again, I will go to an actual hard location to rent a truck.
Matthew E.Hi I said that the unit was clean because I wanted this location to receive a great score because the gentleman at this location was beyond kind and helpful. However, moving forward l, maybe have the renters take pictures to show that, in fact the unit is clean inside the cab and the cargo area and present the pictures to the uhaul agent. There were some wood planks and cardboard left by the renters before me. Not a huge deal, but just something that should have been taken care of by the renters. I took pictures before and after for my records and for Uhaul in case there were any issues. Other than that I HIGHLY recommend this facility and will definitely use them again if needed. Christopher P.I didn't like how, when I reserved the truck, I opted out on all service including the insurance and somehow when the guy rung me up it was included, I don't know if he put it in without telling me or what, and I caught the price difference and asked the guy so he took it out!

Kevin M.When we arrived to the location the vehicles weren't even on site. We had to drive over a mile away to get the truck. Then once we got there, the truck battery was completely dead and wouldn't even turn over. When we called the guy that rented out the uhaul he told us to call uhaul and tell them that we are stuck on the side of the road to get assistance which would take some time. This is so wrong, we hadnt even picked up the truck yet! We only rented the truck for a few hours so we didn't have time to do this. Then he made it sound like a huge inconvenience for him to drive over and help us jump the truck. We ended up having to jump the truck from the uhaul parking lot with our own car and wait over 40 minutes for the battery to recharge since it was COMPLETELY discharged. After all this, the guy ended up charging us for extra gas, even though it was returned with the proper amount in the tank. Which i only used so much gas because we couldnt turn off the truck, it died AGAIN the moment we turned it off and we had to spend another 20 minutes jumping the truck and letting it charge. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had with uhaul and I can't believe this guy is allowed to rent a truck without a charged battery and then make it our problem that he didn't maintenance the truck.
Kalyn M.Through no fault of the worker who helped me - he was very helpful and frtiendly - this location was difficult to get to. It won't come up in any Maps app under the name or address provided; only through looking at reviews did I see that the business name was actually Ace Vacuum, which helped because the address takes you somewhere multiple blocks away. U-Haul needs to update this information. Besides that, the trucks are stored at a remote location about 1/2 miles away, which can make things difficult if you use a rideshare/ride to get to the original location, as I almost did. Transporting any equipment you rent between the areas would also be a hassle. On the bright side, the truck parking location has plenty of parking. Overall, making it actually navigable would be a good start, just prepare to do some driving and potential equipment ferrying once you get there.

Randall R.I'm specifically commenting on the location, not the service provided by the Ace Vacuums employee. The location listed on the Uhaul website is not consistent with online maps nor are there any Uhaul signs located at the rental location, indicating it is a Uhaul rental site. We found the location by chance when we found some Uhaul trucks parked in a parking lot nearby and after making some phone calls. The Uhaul website listed the location as IClean Air Products, LLC, but when I called the number listed, the after hours voice mail was for Ace Vacuums. Extremely confusing & frustrating, as we were pressed for time. Uhaul can do better.
