We haven't need in a U-Haul in over a decade. So the "reservation process" for actually getting both a reservation and having availability confirmed (not until the day before!) seemed a bit nerve wracking and frustrating. But, apart from that things were great. Thank you so much for helping us get stuff moved!

KEVIN WThe vehicle was clean however I received a text that tells me to inspect the vehicle before leaving the office I did not receive that until I was on my way and as I got to my destination found that the oil light was on there was 0 % oil in there and the check engine light was on so that should've been checked by the man in the office before giving us the key. Other than that my experience was fine
Sylvia BI only reserved the truck for 1 day. I did NOT elect the Safe move coverage. When I picked up the truck, no paperwork or check was done to see what I had actually reserved, so I assumed all was fine with my booking. I drove/used the truck 14 miles, returned it back to the SAME location on the SAME day (left key in DROP BOX as instructed) but was billed for TWO DAYS and billed for SAFE move insurance (which I DID NOT ELECT for both days). so effectively, I was charged $88 for what should have been a $41 rental. Additionally, I FILLED the tank (in good faith) though the fuel gauge only read 3/4 full when I picked up vehicle. I did not mind doing this nor did I expect anything in return. What I did NOT expect, was to be grossly overbilled for what should have been a very simple rental transaction.

william gThe guy was over 30 mins late opening up. He didn't go over truck mileage fuel level or damage so I took pictures before I left. I replaced fuel he tried to say I didn't n charge me fuel fee but I had pics and receipt. He charged me for insurance even though I declined the option he says I didn't. But he refilled out the reservation and he must have added it without asking me. I was ripped off this guy is a scammer

DOROTHEA MBoth side mirrors were loose not staying in place. this was a safety issue driving interstate. Have to stop multiple times to on the side of the highways. The ignition key was also not working smoothly

Daniel MThe location was supposed to open at 9am the owner arrived late, I rent these auto transports on a regular basis at every other location the employee hooks up the trailer, checks the lights, checks the connection and takes a picture of the connection. At this location I had to do this myself, because I rent these trailers a lot and I'm in the automotive industry I know how they are supposed to be hooked up, but when a customer has to hook up a trailer themselves I have to wonder about liability
david wLet the uhaul dealer know where you can return truck. I was told that I could return the truck at my destination.But that was not the case I had to drive further to return the truck.
MIGUEL AThis man was extremely rude to me, when I returned the van he billed me out, I asked for an invoice, he told me it was emailed to me... When I got home and downloaded the invoice I noticed that I was billed for 3 days, but only had the van for 2 days. Additionally, he billed me for gas, even though I returned it with the right amount of gas... I called him to ask him why and he said "that's the way it is, to bad", continued to be rude and hung up on me I WILL NEVER USE THIS LOCATION AGAIN, AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED HE OVER BILLED ME ABOUT 30 DOLLARS

crane qI drove 8 miles to put items from my apartment to my storage unit. I out 5 dollars in the gas tank and I was charged for using 3,3 gallons of gas which is impossible and rediculous! I called UHaul and they told me to call the site where I rented it from. They gave me the run around and told me to call the district manager. So I called and left a voicemail. I literally drove 8 MILES & I put gas in the vehicle! How do they have the nerve to charge someone for 3,3 gallons of gas when they only drove 8 miles? I would never recommend UHaul to anyone unless they like getting ripped off! This was the WORST experience of my life! STAY AWAY FROM UHAUL!

George AWhen I went to pick up my truck, I completed the online dispatch forms on my phone and when I was finally given the code for the lockbox to retrieve the keys, there were NO keys in the box. Had to call the 800 number where the operator instructed me to go to the nearest U-Haul location in Holbrook for a different truck, which was extremely inconvenient, as I had movers scheduled to arrive at my apartment in NYC which were being paid by the hour. Luckily, the Holbrook location was EXTREMELY helpful, and had our truck and keys waiting for us when we arrived (along with an updated contract), which made a frustrating situation go much smoother. I will not be using the Ideal Tile location in the future, but the Holbrook U-Haul/Storage facility instead.
Peter RWorst experience ever! The whole process to rent from U-haul was a nightmare. Avoid self check-in at any cost since it has lots of flaws. After having a reservation with over 2 months of anticipation there was no way I would get the code for self check-in. Customer Service was completely not helpful and incompetent in finding/solving the problem. After being 4 hours on the phone with Customer Service the only solution to the problem was to transfer my reservation to some other location that was supposed to be open. The new location opened 1 hour 30 minutes after the stated opening hours. The truck was dirty and they never provided us with the utility dolly and the packing blanket we paid for. We got the truck 6 hours after the scheduled time. Additionally we rented a tow dolly for one of our cars that was not only reserved in a different location with no notification but also when picking it up the right tail light was damaged. Since it was the only one available and after the hell we went through with the truck we had no option but to take it. The moving was interstate. Definitely the cheapest service in every single sense. Never renting from U-Haul again.

Vincent CWhen the truck was picked up from the location the fuel was incorrect on the invoice. I also declined the insurance and was told that it was mandatory. I disagreed with the employee but did not have time to argue. Upon drop off I was informed that I was in fact correct and the insurance was not mandatory.
Sharon CTruck was 2 hours late. It was blamed on "U-Haul's service" by the employee at the desk. Terrible customer service as employee took an "oh well, not my problem" attitude. Very poor experience and I would advise renting from another location.

We arrived there to pick up a truck we ordered on line.Something went wrong with the request for a 10 foot truck but she quickly and efficiently reserved a truck in the Patchogue location for us.. She really saved the day for me and my family

DAMON AI had put 6 gallons of gas only 1 mile away from his store and when i get there he charged me for 5 gallons worth of gasoline, i believe he misread the amount of gas in the truck and over charged me.
steve hU-haul should give credit for returning the truck with more gas. I have no choice but to sign the contract if I need a truck.
