Was stored here from 2016 to 2023 and they did a great job keeping up with the 24 hour access even through COVID and holidays. Staff was always super helpful and friendly. Mike knows whats up! I never had any security or safety problems. The con is there are mice that will chew apart anything you have with a scent. So you can't store any bath products or vitamins. The mice chewed apart a mouth wash bottle I had in there and all my stuff smells like spearmint. The other option would be store all your stuff in locking plastic tubs or glass. The other con is there are no public restrooms within walking distance so don't come here when you gotta pee :).

Not only did I have to buy a ball hitch after purchasing one as part of the rental. The guys attached my trailer without attaching the lock pin that I purchased. I was charged $45 for the ball hitch and had to fight with uhaul to get reimbursed for the $35 part that I had already paid for and expected to be there waiting for me. I should be Reimburse the $45 that I had to pay at the location. Your customer service is atrocious. Then add to that that all of the tiedown bars on the walls have been ripped out the thing was not safe. This was the most horrible experience I've ever had with renting a trailer.

The store was closed before the posted time. It was a convenient location based on being San Francisco adjacent, but that is really all I can say.

I previously called and specifically asked for a drop off location in Berkeley, CA. They set the drop off on Treasure Island in San Francisco. We went to two locations in Berkeley and they said I had to drop it off in San Fran or pay $200-300 extra. The trip in rush-hour was 90 minutes and there was a $17 toll, plus it put our mileage over the allocated trip total and we ended up paying more. Really poor customer service. Buyer beware!

Never had any problems. Pricing was some of the cheapest you could find in SF/Oakland area. Very secure and easy to find given the treasure island location. Would repeat if I ever needed storage accommodations in the future.

RUDE STAFF AT THE BAY SHORE LOCATION, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BY THE PERSON THEY DESCRIBED HERSELF AS THE MANAGER, I WENT THERE IN THE MORNING TO PICK UP THE AUTO TRANSFER TRAILER AND I WAS TILD THAT THERE WAS NONE AVAILABLE AT THE BAY SHORE LOCATION, I WAS TOLD BY AN EMPLOYEE THERE THAT THE TRAILER IS AVAILABLE AT TREASURE ISLAND LOCATION AND THAT THE TRAILER WILL COME WITH THE TOWING ACCESSORY, I DROVE TO THE OTHER LOCATION AND WAS SHOCKED TO LEARN THAT THE TOW HEDGE IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THE OTHER LOCATION WHATSOEVER AND THAT I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO DRIVE BACK TO THE CITY AND PURCHASE THE EQUIPMENT,IN TRAFFIC BACK AND FORTH AND I HAD TO GO, AT THE BAY SHIRE LOCATION I WAS TRYING TO EXPLAIN TO THE MANAGER THAT I WASTED MY DAY BACK AND FORTH FROM ONE LOCATION TO ANOTHER AND THAT I SHOULD GET SOME CREDIT ON THE EQUIPMENT SINCE IM DRIVING A HEAVY TRUCK THAT BURNS A LOT OF GAS AND THAT I WAS MISLED BY THE LACK OF EXPERIENCE OF HER STAFF BUT I WAS SHOCKED BY HER WAY OF TALKING AND THE WAY SHE HANDLED THE SITUATION, I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER WITH UHAUL FOR YEARS AND I ONLY USE UHAUL FOR ALL MY MOVING NEEDS

I stored materials at the facility and it felt post-apocalyptic. I decided to move to the facility next door which is paved, well lit and has a more secure appearance. I also rented a 9' box truck from the same facility. It was delivered to me with the gas gauge reading as empty as could beam, a tow light was on and the cup holders were filled with debris swimming in a mysterious liquid. It was disgusting.

We were doing a long distance move and the truck was old, smelled bad and was not comfortable for the long drive. Also the breaks were not very sensitive at all, it seemed like they were going out. The truck had over 100k miles on it. Also, this location opened late despite 3 different parties waiting outside to pick up right at 9am.

I rented a car trailer. We were about to put the vehicle on the trailer when I noticed the straps were torn. We were able to get another trailer but the ratchets where the straps go into were so dry with some rust that they were hard to tighten. I later lubed them myself and was able to get 3 or more more ratchet rotation and tighten them up more. It was simple lube.

Counterintuitively, this location is perfect for SF residents with storage needs to rent a truck / trailer. Rather than fighting the tight parking & congestion at other locations, Treasure Island is an easy drive where you can get your rental (& safely leave your vehicle), return home to get your stuff and then bring to the various storage locations on the island that are all "drive up" locations. Not perfect for everyone but don't overlook this convenient location

Not ever again, I was on my way to the location to pick up the trailer when I got a phone call saying that it was not available. Now all my plans are scrwed up. Went to the location spoke to the acting manager and he said that they was bathing you guys could do. I'm thinking scout renting a 16 foot truck from one of your competitors and have you u haul pay for it.

The Uhaul rental location was fine, but way out of the way. Treasure Island is a strange place to have a uhaul rental business as it is not close to anything. My biggest upset is with the Uhaul company. My reservation was changed twice! I live in Novato, Ca far from Treasure Island. I initially reserved a Uhaul trailer at a business near my home in Novato. Then the reservation was changed to San Rafael, CA shortly later. This was OK as it is15-20 minutes from my home. But 2 days before pickup, Uhaul moved my reservation to Treasure Island not allowing me enough time to find another trailer from a different rental company. I had to drive over 2 bridges to pick up this trailer and pay 2 bridge tolls. It took me 45 minutes to drive to Treasure Island and 90 minutes back - for both pickup and return. I had called Uhaul's customer service on Thursday, 07/28 to try to get my reservation changed but was told by a representative named Beth (in Santa Rosa) that Treasure Island was the only place that the trailer was available. But was told that Uhaul would waive the one-way return fee so I could return the trailer locally as (I was told) that since my rental way in-town, they should have never moved it. When I called on 08/01 to confirm this (as I was told by Beth that changes to my reservation could not occur until after I picked up the trailer), I was told by another representative (out of the Roseville customer service office) that a Bay Area Uhaul manager would call me to discuss. I never received a call and had to call back Uhaul's customer service. I was then told that it was doubtful that Beth told me this and that I could not return the trailer locally without the one-way fee. UHAUL'S CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL. I don't blame the agents, but the whole system. I will avoid ever using Uhaul again and will try to tell everyone I know. Just because you make a reservation, it provides no guarantee. How do you run a company this way?

The location was 40 minutes from my home in an area difficult to access. And I needed. $30 Uber ride to get back home. I asked for a drop off near my residence and didn't receive it. Very poor service

The team at Island Park Storage/UHaul on Treasure Island rock! The price for my storage space was reasonable; the facility was clean & secure, the access hours pretty good. The staff (Nef, Mike, Tomas) are helpful, friendly & professional & most importantly, worked with me when my payment checks failed to materialize on time due to Post Office delivery issues. I highly recommend island Park Storage for your storage needs.

Service person was very nice. However, I found that the equipment itself was left dirty (didn't realize it till I got home). I had to sweep out a considerable amount of dirt, and scrub out several nasty blotches of who-knows-what? that had gotten crusted on the floor and walls. It was some kind of thick, pasty substance that had dried, and only came off with a fair amount of scrubbing. The equipment was also in a pretty shabby state -- graphics on the exterior peeling off and dents on the wheel well. Time to retire that trailer for a newer model. As for the location, too far and remote from where I live (middle of nowhere Treasure Island, 55 miles from where I live down the peninsula. This tacked on an 2+ hours to pick it up, and 2+ hrs again to drop it off, with both of those trips coming at the beginning and end of long days of packing, driving, etc. It's EXTREMELY annoying that Uhaul does not have a better system for managing its inventory. The location we make the reservation at needs to be the same location we pick up. You need to fix this.

No gas stations on the Island where drop off occurs. It's just inconvenient because you are required to fill up the gas to the level that you purchased that item with. When there are no gas stations fill up your vehicle, it just becomes a little inconvenient. It's not U-Haul‘s fault but it is what it is.

The truck was still dirty from the previous renter, with dead bugs on the entire front of the truck. Also, the truck console between the two people (where the engine is) was VERY hot. It almost burned my passenger's legs and was very hot on my legs as well. Luckily, I was wearing jeans, but my friend had shorts on and we had to stop a few times because it became unbearably hot on his legs.

Check engine light turned on within 10 miles and this location was not helpful in resolving the issue. Truck was given to me with cut fuel lines requiring an emergency truck change the next morning. Fleet is clearly not thoroughly inspected or maintained.

The people at this location are rude and have zero customer service. I arrived early which was planned and discussed. When I arrived there was no one there at the location. As any normal person would do I tried to open the door to see if anyone might be inside and found the door locked. I then called the number on the door and a very rude and I mean rude man answered the phone. He was no help and accused me of trying to break into the building. I was offended at the comment. What was odd was I called two numbers on my check in sheet and he answered both line each time quote he would say are you going to call me all day and would hang up on me. This costed me over an hour of time . Avoid pick up at this location frankly it unbelievable that I haul is represented like this. On top of it all the truck was dirty and had 29 miles of gas in it.

When calling this location, each person I contacted was informative, helpful, and friendly. It was a convenient and quick process picking up and hitching the trailer to my vehicle. The trailer was in good working condition, however, the interior was not clean and a black residue covered anything that touched the walls and floors.

My unit was broken into and a bicycle, a big metal box and two suitcases were stolen, apparently months ago. However at that time, before even the move to the new location, nobody informed me and I had to find out myself when I came to beckon my belongings after a five year absence that the staff had just locked the unit zith a Master lock, but apparently did not think I needed to know about what happened there (qI was told some crack heads had apparently stolen items from several storage units at the time before they were discovered and kicked out. Also most of my clothing was damaged from the humidity hat had infiltrated from below, the hole wooden floor of the unit was still wet and I had to discard books and clothes, blankets and even leather clothes due to he damage by moisture and mildew.

I'm not sure if there were security cameras on my conex box, but I think overall security was good, and there were no issues. I didn't like having my unit moved several times over the last couple years but I think I understand that was out of your control. Overall Mike took good care of me and was great to work with when I had issues...

I love the folks at Island Park Storage. The staff is top notch, and I was able to get help from the security to open the outdoor storage container when I had trouble with it. The storage container itself leaked a bit on my stuff and the boxes I had wrapped in plastic fared better than the ones I didn't. There was one of my items that developed a fungus mildew also. So if you want the best run and least expensive place, but can pack your stuff in plastic, this is a good place.There is no lighting inside the containers.

The cats in the office are kind, compassionate, and maybe a little bit over worked, but such is life in the Bay Area. Despite this possibility, they maintain real kindness and amazing customer service. They deserve vacations and massages, courtesy of whomever owns the joint. Thank you so much for everything!

The staff at "Island Park Storage" (U-Haul on Treasure Island, San Francisco, CA) are the true winners. We stored our Airstream Sprinter here fir about a year (we bought a house with storage so moved out). The staff is very friendly and helpful. Security is great…gated with video and guards. Very pleased.

I've been using a small storage unit for many years here. No problems except security is not very tight. Some of the units can be opened with a screwdriver. However, I never got any security incident.

#1 and 2 not fair to use in this case. The space was on dirt, and seemed like a junk yard. BUT, facility was convenient to SF, price below competition, and staff helpful. So we knew the condition when we chose to store our campervan. I have recommended the Park and advised of the conditions. This was a good solution for the shorterm.

My furniture was molded and covered in dirt. If you don't want all of your items completely destroyed, and to deal with an unhelpful staff - find another place. Quickly. I'm actually putting together a review for my YouTube channel - I have 2Million plus followers on social media. 10/10. They deliver exactly what they promise, and with a smile! The staff is wonderful, totally transparent and honest, the location is very secure, and I'm very glad I did business with them! I would rent there again in a heartbeat. Bravo and thanks! But there's a reason it's 40 % less expensive than many other facilities. There are three downsides to this facility. First, that you can enter and leave 24/7 as most other facilities have. There is a very friendly security guard available 24/7 who comes and unlocks the facility for you, then you drive to your unit. This takes a few minutes of course. The guards are extremely nice! They move as fast as they can! But you should factor that in to your choice. Second, you're renting a shipping container. It takes 5 minutes to open, it's not roll in/roll out, and it's a scant 8 feet wide. garage-style units take seconds to open, are flush with the ground, and 2 feet wider. A car does fit in the container, but just barely! Third, it's on Treasure Island. Which is often difficult to get to, with stop and go traffic on US 80. On the plus side, if you're coming from the West, there is no toll to get there or to drive back. From the East Bay, you will pay the Bay Bridge toll every time you visit by car. I understand you can walk or bike from Oakland to the island at no coast, but I've never done it. So in sum, a terrific place with terrific people, but you get what you pay for.

The storage facility is great, but it is a maze of storage units, which might mean that you`ll to carry your stuff through it. They do provide trolleys which you can use.
