When I picked up the truck I couldn't access the lock to the box that held the key because of the thick ice built up on it. After breaking the ice, turns out the lock wasn't locked at all. The box was frozen shut. Once we got THAT undone, the keys were instead in the truck and not the box. The advertising board was in the windshield. And finally when we brought it to the location we were packing stuff it had 6 appliance Dollie's, 3 utility Dollie's, and 2 roller cart things stored in the back which took up quite a lot of space I could have used for packing. I paid $160 for the truck rental and couldn't use a portion of the space because of this.

Craig SkarpiakI rented a uhaul in a certain location, but received a phone call later from a representative telling me that there were no availability in that location at the time that I wanted for the uhaul size I wanted. So I was told I could pick up the uhaul I needed at the closest location nearby which was 50 minutes away. It seemed like a minor inconvenience, but I didn't mind too much. The representative told me that my total payments would be the same as if I rented from the original location I wanted and that they would cover my traveling mileage due to have to travel 50 minutes there and back to pick up/drop off the uhaul and he said he would be "saving me money" by having my mileage fees covered. When I started the mobile pickup on my uhaul, the charges did not match what I was told earlier. Not sure if the representative I had spoken to did not make the changes to my account or did not rely the changes, but it was very frustrating.

Anthony MoonWell, it was quite unclear. I had rented a vehicle from fish creek wi....told to drive 30 mi south to pick it up in sturgeon bay. I realize these are small towns, so that was fine. Went to pick it up and no one was there. I called both #s for JB trucking and no one answered. A simple answer would have been great. The vehicle and keys were there but no one to talk with. So, I called U-Haul 1800# and they were able to check me out over the phone as my phone had no service in this area of door county. Couldn't use the app. Was quite frustrating, though it all worked out and the woman at 1800 U-Haul was very sweet and accommodating. Also spoke with a young man who was very helpful. Just an answer on the phone would have been satisfactory. Jb trucking had had left a message the night before about online checkout but I didn't get that message til I was already there and didn't have internet service. I learned some lessons thru this however ????

david harshVery nice just had to go out of our way for pick up when we ordered from Green Bay location and they over booked an gave our trailer to someone else day of pick up called at noon for a 3:00 pickup said they don't have a trailer for us..... was happy with Sturgeon Bay... very disappointed with Green Bay and the experience
MATT GUNDERSONNo one was at the location when I arrived at the confirmed time. No one answered when I called the location's number. I called U-Haul customer service. After 20 minutes on hold I was told I needed to talk to someone else and was transferred. The call immediately went to someone's voicemail. I called U-Haul again and after 12 minutes of waiting for an answer I was told again I needed to talk to someone else but this time I insisted that I not be blind transferred. The gentleman I talked to in the end was nice and was able to complete my rental contract over the phone so I could still take the trailer. Overall, a very negative experience but this was the first time I had such poor experience in the handful of times I have used U-Haul trailers or trucks.
