Larger signage indicating the location - Uhaul is not the primary wording rather the secondary with the prim name being that of the storage yard name/business. During busy times have more than 1 representative onsite to assist customers - I waited 20mins to be served when I already had an existing reservation.

Everything about the trailer was great. It was ready to go and they even helped me hook it up. Although it had been swept out, there was still some dirt stuck in the corners by the door and not fully removed. I missed that in my inspection and vacuumed it out. Nonetheless I was very pleased with the unit and would rent a trailer again for the same purpose in the future.

Provide the truck that customer books

When picking up and returning trailer staff were very reluctant to hitch up to our truck. They left equipment so we could do it ourselves. Unfortunately, I have a bad back and cannot do this. Not very pleasant at all. Needs lessons in customer service. Door to UHaul always locked. LIghts on and staff in office but very reluctant to open the door. Not very comforting. AND, don't appreciate being welcomed by a dog.

The James Snow Self Storage team is a wonderful ambassador for Uhaul! Their service is amazing and scheduling a last-minute truck rental was incredibly easy! Laddie even recommended a dolly that made moving several very heavy items a relative breeze! Merci encore!

More staff to help

A staff worked at the location did NOT hook up the trailer on my vehicle AT ALL!! I did it myself and he just took the pics of the connection. Also, the Trailer that i rented from the location was horribly maintained. The lock handle didnt work perperly so i needed to kick it in order to close the lock properly!!!

Hours of operation are difficult. That said, the staff member working in Saturday, April 15 was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

The staff, which is a stretch considering it was one woman who had to run the show, was polite when they finally arrived. We were there just a few minutes after the check in and waited almost an hour for the person to come back from assisting another customer and give us the keys. Setting us back an hour in a very busy day. We had to have the rental back before they closed as we weren't going to pay the overnight fee when it could have been avoided and couldn't not complete a run because we didn't have enough time. The online check in is a joke. Uploaded the licences and pictures multiple times and still required staff to complete the order as the site didn't think the 6+ pictures of our licences weren't good enough. Would not recommend this system to anyone.

They will tell you one thing and do another. I was quoted for 0,89 cents a km when in fact they charged me $1,43 per km. On the website it also says that 77 kms are included in the rental. My bill was for 115 kms at $1,43 per. I was told I had to rent the truck for 2 days and I had to return it to that location in Milton all the way from Shelburne. I paid over $200 and still got another bill that they just took from my credit card even though I checked the little box to say I am NOT giving authorization for this second charge. I do NOT recommend using uhaul unless you want to be lied to and cheated. I will be writing reviews on every platform I can find and I may even be taking my complaint to the newspaper. This is totally unacceptable

The service was absolutely terrific. Mitchell was a huge help and assisted me in getting moving with the right hitch and signal adapter. I would've been stuck otherwise. I'm very grateful for the service and the personal customer care provided to me. I highly recommend this site for rentals.

My original reservation was cancelled because the cargo trailer being rented to me had a non-functional door. This reservation was at another location at the last second and this cargo trailer had three of four running lights not working. The last three or four times I've rented there have been such problems. The person hooking up the trailer said, if you get pulled over just claim you didn't realize this equipment wasn't functional. Inspect your equipment, fix it, or the Ministry of Transportation will have you do it. The other challenge was the woman handling my reservation didn't know the process or systems, and needed help from an employee who was leaving for the day. She didn't hook up my trailer, said she's never done it, not that I could honestly expect her to do it. You don't expect or service equipment, you don't train employees. Who runs this company? They should be ashamed.

Renting UHaul vans from the James Snow Parkway Storage team is always a great transaction - vans are clean and staff are very helpful and kind!

Customer service was great, however the trailer turned out to be in bad condition. The lights worked when i left the location, however they stopped working. The trailer kept blowing the fuse in my vehicle. I looked at the wiring for the lights on the trailer and found many exposed wires and bad crimping jobs wrapped in electrical tape. Im a mechanic and i needed the brake lights and turn signals to work in order to safely use the trailer. I used my own tools and butt connectors and repaired the bad connections. Got the brake lights and signals to work. This took just over an hour of my time to repair in a parking lot on a cold windy day. I spoke to the location about it so they could get the trailer running light repaired since they were not working. I asked for a refund or a discount due to this inconvenience. They asked for receipts for the parts used, which i used my own supply of heat shrink butt connectors and didn't have to go buy anything. Still took my time to repair but no credit was ever issued for this inconvenience. If i were to charge someone for this repair at a shop it would be over $100 easily. All I asked for was a refund or credit of some kind to acknowledge this inconvenience. 0 stars for that outcome. Hopefully equipment can be better maintained in the future to avoid this outcome.

Smaller locations like this one where all you need is to pick up the equipment and go are very convenient and faster than the larger depots that tend to have waiting lines.

Considering our current climate and the lingering effects of that covid season, "customer service" has become a sort of oxymoron. However! Uhaul is an exception, providing exceptional customer service! Thank you!!

A first impression to walk in the door, seeing two women at their desks scarfing down food was completely unprofessional. One had Galitos, and Hailey had her own Tupperware container with her food. It was clearly difficult for them to tear themselves away from their meals. Hailey was the person who reluctantly offered to provide customer service with my rental. After the formalities of providing my license to be copied (although I already uploaded it), I asked her if she would do a walk around with me. She said it wasn't necessary and I was to do it digitally. I did so. The van was not at all what the pics portrayed. The headlight was broken right off, there were several scratches inside and outside of the vehicle, the engine light was on, and it had dog fur everywhere and smelled like a horse barn. Given that Hailey said a walk around was not necessary, I went back to the office to formally request a walk around with a check list. She said a check list was not something uhaul did. She did walk around the vehicle with me, took pictures of the damage, and promised to email me with said documentation. She did not. It is unfortunate that I was charged extra given the state of the vehicle, along with the most unprofessional service from two women representing uhaul's front desk. In addition, I called and left a message about the engine light. I still received no response. This was an exceptionally unprofessional interaction. One would think uhaul has a lunch room and that when employees say they will email documentation and interactions-they will. I do not recommend this location, or uhaul.

My electrical plug did not work and the lady would not let me take the uhaul but suggested I go to the location on Lawson and get the electrical fixed. Really Great idea. When I got to the Lawson location the hitch guy, Chris, had finished his work shift and was heading home but when he saw I was desperate and really needed help he worked past the end of his paid shift and fixed my car. What a great employee. He deserves a gold metal. J'ai été très impressionné. He was also very friendly. I had 6 people waiting to help me move and I really needed the uhaul trailer that night. Uhaul saved the day and I really apprecate it and will tell all my friends.

I was given the wrong directions for pick up and I lost 30 minutes in line. 30 minutes isn’t much but I had another appointment that I was late for because of the delay.

The equipment rented was a 12ft trailer. It was in good condition and everything worked well. It was however NOT swept out. The agent failed to mention the routine required to open the gate, but did provide the number to the lock box. It would have been helpful as I had to call to get instructions. The price was fair and I would rent again from this location.

Trailer was parked next to the entrance/exit gate so when you are hooking up and unhooking you are blocking the driveway for other people.With only one driveway for this yard it would be better to move the towing trailers up into the yard more so you are not blocking the driveway. Maybe move the rental Van and/or trucks beside the gate instead. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
