The facility could not check me in because they were locked out of their account. The truck was pretty clean but had an unsmoked cigarette sitting on the passenger seat. The facility did not have the extra equipment I paid for to rent.

(1) Have the equipment that is requested at the rental location. Besides the truck, I requested an appliance dolly. They didn't have one, so I ended up having to use a regular dolly and two of my own ratchet straps to try to move an upright freezer (i.e. an appliance). It didn't work well, but that is all that I had. (2) Train the facility that you lease through. They gave me the keys once I had identified the truck. If I hadn't called U-Haul, I would have been using your truck without a contract. They didn't know what to do.

Took over an hour to receive the rental. Already had reserved and did online check-in. The location attendant did not have the reservation and had my staff member do another reservation. After going through the process again and trying to give us a smaller truck the attendant wound up using our original reservation. Worse experience and cost me almost 2 hours of time.

The truck leaked and several of my items were soaked. The leak was in mom attic. The truck was clean just leaking in rain.

I have rented multiple U-Hauls this year - firs time at this location - and this was by far the BEST experience I have ever had. Excellent customer service, friendly, never felt like a number. I will recommend this location to everyone.

The young man, though friendly, did not know what he was doing; he wrestled through the application to get me checked out and it too me and my elderly mother (who stood there and waited) an hour to get my truck checked out. Part of the waiting was his having to serve customers who would come in and out for gas, cigarettes, etc. It was awful!

There was no drop box. I left the key with the attendant, who insisted on checking the mileage and fuel level even though I had just done so during the mobile drop-off on the app.

We had an HORRENDOUS time with both our pick up and drop off, as well as with your customer service phone line, when I tried to call to complain. I am writing a separate email detailing our experience at both locations. In brief, the pick-up associate was disorganized, uninformed, and unhelpful.

Dont wait 48 hour to confirm location pick up. You didnt have the vehicle i selected 20ft truck. Over all your company added a lot of extra mileage to my overall journey and a huge waste of my valuable time. Between fuel prices and having to go out of my way for both pickup and drop off I am very unsatisfied. I have an additional $90 charge probably because of mileage and I spent $80 on fuel to get it back to the same level as I recieved it. Overall I spent 12 hours moving, I paid $295 to move my families stuff 48 miles just a huge bummer. With a smaller truck i was unable to get all of our stuff in 1 trip. Just all around an inconvenience in almost ever aspect of moving.

I made reservation 20' truck pickup from Jarrettsville MD and drop of in PA. When I picked up truck, he told me to return truck back to same place because it's local truck and he will charge me the same price (I told him, we will drive about 300miles. He charged $0,69/miles+discount… and we were agree with $19x). When I return truck, mileage is over 100miles and's my bank was charged later after return truck $35x. I totally understand to charge more for 100 miles extra, but +$150 is too much extra charge. If I know this price, I'm not agree to return truck back in MD. And I will use other company. If you don't have truck or have only local truck (Return at the same place) , Just post on website. But this is you changed on the day I go pickup truck. I can't change anything because I paid for helper and new place already. You made me no choice and charged me overpriced. Very disappointed. (Sorry for my broken english)

Uhaul wanted to charge me extra for gas even though I filled it to where it was when I got it. They were supposed to contact me within 48 hours to follow up with my concern about being charged extra. They never followed up and just took the money out of my account without clarification

I originally ordered a pick up at $19,95/.69 per mile. The truck I ordered wasn't available so I was offered a 10 ft' truck at the same cost. We weren't told the mileage cost was going to raise. I was expecting about $85-90 payment and it ended being $112.

Horrible experience with uhaul and uhaul at this location. I made the reservation at a location closer to home and 14 hrs before pick up, I got a call and an email that the truck was ready in another location farther from home. The Jarrettsville attendant had no clue what he was doing and the new reservation was a lot more money than my original reservation. They didn't have all the add ons I had requested. I told the attendant that the reservation had charges for the things they didn't have and he said he would take care of it the next day. The next day it was a different attendant that said he didn't know how to refund me. After 45 min and a call to the main office he was able to figure it out but it took a lot of patience and time to deal with this location.

The gentleman working the store intentionally added insurance coverage to my rental. My reservation declined and when he asked me about it I said, "no I don't need any extra coverage." He still put it in the order. After I got back, I asked him about it and he said that you have to have coverage. Then I said he explicitly asked me if I wanted it and I said no I didn't want coverage. He told her I said yes. Nothing like having to spend two hours trying to get ahold of someone at U-Haul because of a dishonest representative of U-Haul. It made me so paranoid because this same person did my return; an hour after I dropped the truck off, which made it even harder to fix my issue.

Both at pick up and return i had to wait for the employee to come out from the back room. I returned and rented a truck again about 2 days later the exact same thing happened (waiting about 5 minutes). He played with his phone while waiting on me. Very rude

I reserved a 15' truck for one way and the employee refused to let me drop it off at the other location. They told me I had to bring it back there. As a result I was charged more for mileage, despite the mileage discount. They also stated they would cancel my existing reservation and put in a new one as I was under a time crunch, but didn't do that either. They were very brusque and on their cell phone for the entirety of the rental process.

I always thought uhaul was the best when it come to moving rental vehicles but when you can rent a vehicle the same size round trip for a third of the cost something is wrong with this picture. I rented a vehicle from your company for over one thousand and five hundred dollars one way but was able to get the same vehicle from PensKe for five hundred dollars for around trip 800 hundred miles. Never will I ever use uhaul again.

The self service option did not work. I had to check in/out inside the store. I was charged for fuel even though I filled out he tank after driving it 20 miles. The vehicle smelled like garbage.

I scheduled a pick in Lancaster, PA 1/4 mile from place I needed truck. On day before I was told there we no one-way trucks available and had to drive an hour into MD to get a truck (2 hour round trip). What to improve? When a customer requests, and it's confirmed online that a truck will be available a month before the scheduled pick up date...DON'T TELL THEM ONE WAS NOT (AND NEVER) AVAILABLE AT THE LOCATION RESERVED LESS THAN 24 HOURS FROM PICK UP. Also did not have furniture dollies needed (nor did the U-Haul location I originally requested pickup) and insufficient furniture blankets. Not related to pick-up but in general: Truck was used for cross country (PA to Seattle) move. Truck has no cruise control (anyone tried driving 3k miles w/o cruise lately), no sound insulation (had to wear ear plugs for 6 days), an averaged 7,5 mpg at or below posted speed limits (much less than the 12 mpg avg advertised for 15' truck (that was only a 1/3 loaded).

Very disappointed with my experience at this location. Van was high mileage (70k) with bad shocks and a driver door that didn't want to shut. The associates are not attentive and don't seem to know how to use the system. Tried to charge me for a dirty van, which was not dirty. At first said they didn't have the furniture pads I'd reserved and then somehow had them, and upon return wanted me to repackage my used pads for next customer--I refused as I thought each customer was supposed to get fresh pads. I've had many excellent experiences at other UHaul locations over many years and will continue to be a customer--but not at this location.

The mobile experience for picking up Au haul and dropping offer you haul at this location was extremely frustrating. When I got to the location there was no service so I couldn't get AGPS signal. Therefore I had to have someone at the location help me and they were unable to do so in a quick manner. The same thing happened when I went to drop the you haul off. The purpose of being able to rent the tracker online is to make it easy. It was anything but easy.

My Uhaul experience this time around was pretty bad compared to the many I have had in the past. First the Uhaul location where I picked up my rental truck at was not clearly marked as a Uhaul pick up area which made it a hard know where to park. Secondly the attendant had no idea what he was doing when it came to filling out the initial form. However he was very kind and patient who which made the situation better. Next, the truck did NOT have the dozen blankets I ordered online Which made moving glass for the move very complicated. So I would like a refund for the blankets I never received. Then when I arrived at my house to start loading the truck. I discovered the storage area was littered with dirt and foliage that I had to remove. I expected better from Uhaul especially since I have never had these issues before.

So lying to customers too make a sale. Donut rent trucks with transmission problema especially when thecustomer has 61/2 hours of traveling.and return correct deposits when you say you will! $50 is not a compensation for all you put us through! I spent more put off pocket because you failed us the customers.

Tank was less than 1/2 full when I picked it up. Guy couldn't communicate in English very well. He asked me if I filled it up when I returned. So I tried to explain I didn't get it with full tank. Not sure if the communication was successful. Truck performed well.
