The 24/7 self check out application did not work on iPhone. The app asks that you take a picture of any damage on truck and to take a picture of yourself and submit it. The app is not compatible with iPhone Safari so the camera comes up solid black and you can’t take the picture. I called customer service and waited for nearly 35 min., explained the issue to be put on hold again. Then explained to yet another person who tells me that the app is only compatible with Chrome browsers and to download that browser! WHAT???? Thankfully the owner of the establishment was on a late call and happened to drive in after hours...to maunually check the truck out for us. Horrible experience with U-Haul but the owner was great.

The trailer I rented was a piece of junk. Old and should have been taken out of service long ago. We reloaded the trailer 3 times, b ut it still swayed the entire 1400 mile trip at 55mph. I feel like I wasted my money and that i was given this particu\lar trailer to get it out of the northeast fleet and make it somebody else's problem. I will be buying my own trailer for future moves and then selling it when I'm done. Veruy disappointed and the trailer has nothing to do with Julian's. It was dropped off there by a U-Haul representative. I had no choice in trailers.

The actual location and service at the location was good. I was very upset with Uhual scheduling. I was originally scheduled for peekskill NY and then 1 day prior i was scheduled 25 miles away from my original pick up which through my entire move off. I can understand if it was 1 week prior but 1 day is absolutely ridiculous, never again.

The high beams did not work in drove along a mountain at night with very poor lighting from yhe vehicle which w as dangerous. The vehicle broke down and left me inconvenienced, and the agent gave me no options with the insurance, I was told I had to take the insurance.

Parking is tricky and there is little to nothing the site owners can do about.. Just be prepared that you will have to park off site (really close) .. None the less loved the people that worked there. OI haven't been in NY states in a long time and these guys were very "New York" (ofcourse in a good way)

The roof had a couple of small holes in it that leaked water and got several boxes of programming books in 'Mom's Attic' wet. Does the insurance I purchased cover this damage?

Interior floor was covered in mud. Cab floor was covered with a spilled, sticky beverage, with gravel and soil on the floor, onsteps and in crevices. Windshield was so filthy inside and out it took two cleanings to make clean.

The paperwork part of the return was handled efficiently. However, although I stated that I might need help unhitching the trailer from my truck, no attempt was made to assist me. The return person stayed inside the building while I unhitched the trailer myself, disconnected the safety chains and the wiring harness. At no time did the return personnel assist me or even offer to assist me with unhitching the trailer, which I thought was rather strange.

The truck I rented had over 180,000 miles on it and was in terrible shape. The suspension was almost non-existent as every bump in the road caused the load in the truck to be jarred and jumbled......worst truck I ever rented from UHAUL and probably my last!!!!!!!!! I am sure BUDGET has better equipment.....

The amount charged to my card was $60 more then my quote and I stayed way under my allowed millage also the truck had less then a half of tank of fuel when I picked it up and had to return it with 5/8 so that's another $20 I feel like they owe me $80

The truck that I rented had almost 180000 miles on it. When I went to start it the battery was dead. Had to call for roadside assistance, but managed to start it with my own jumper cable. Not a good way to start a move. :-(

My reservation was for 7:30AM due to the arrival of movers to my home at 8:00 (charging $125/hr). The first person to arrive to Julian's did so at 7:45, but he was unable to help me. The next person arrived at approx. 8:00, but was also unable to fulfill my reservation. Not until the owner arrived close 9 was progress made. I pulled out of the lot at 9:15, almost 2 full hours after my reservation time. The truck was dirty, had trash and cigarette ashes throughout, and the dash board was coming loose on the passenger side. Upon returning the truck, I found my vehicle to be missing from where I parked it. Even though I repeatedly asked if I should park somewhere else and was repeatedly told it was fine where it was, the owner decided it wasn't ok where it was and towed it to a less than desirable neighborhood down the street. This was done without a phone call or notification of any kind. Then, the owner proceeded to berate me for parking where his employees told me to park. Having moved seven times in the last 8 years, working with several different companies in the process, this would have to be the single worst experience I've had. Not under any circumstance would I recommend using Julian's as a location for truck rental or anything else, for that matter.

* The price was reasonable, the move went well because we used your equipment. * The truck we received was worn out, I wasn't sure it would make the trip over the mountain, but it did. The transmission slipped every mile of the journey. * Last, and most importantly, I wasn't able to rent the vehicle from the closest or even the second closest location even though I booked it online a month out. I received confirmation that I would receive the truck I requested at a further location, then three days before pick up was notified that I could only get a 14 ft truck. This was all worked out in the end, but if you want to allow the customer to book a vehicle online follow up sooner and make some attempt to explain the them why the vehicle they requested is not available. If there were a similar product at a comparable price, I would go with them because U-haul has failed in this area.

Paper work was not done as information was entered the day before, the time of arrival the next day to pick up the truck information had not been entered in the computer. The air condition in the truck did not work. As the weather was very hot. The gear or the tire did not work very well. It was the skill of the driver that enhanced it along.

"Lola" (if that is her real name) in scheduling or traffic put me on hold for 20 minutes at a time because I wanted to speak to Hope. Then I left my Cell phone # with Lola for Hope to call me back with specific instructions to call THAT number and NOT the # on my contract because I was not at home. Hope called my HOME #. What should have been maybe 15 minutes on the phone, I spent 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM either on hold or calling back because listening to a dead line (not even music) for 20 minutes at a time is NOT good customer service! Morgan at Customer Service and everyone at Julian's Auto were VERY HELPFUL and FREINDLY. LOLA AND HOPE WERE NOT. Deb at the Regional office was friendly but not very helpful.

They told me where to park my car, then towed it to put a truck where I had the car and did not inform me they did so even though they had my phone number. I almost reported it stolen. Also the truck was in a poor state of repair. As an example, the Check engine light was on when I picked it up.
