KENNETH WESTWas charged a cleaning fee for blankets not being folded. I wasn't aware of having to fold them. Nor was not sure if I would have been charged if I kept them. Therefore, I left them to avoid being charged only to be charged because they were not folded. Someone needs to make that verbally clear to customers to avoid the disappointment and inconvenience of spending more money on something so small.

debbie plohgThe wrong milage was put in when I returned the Uhaul and I was over charged. When she tried to fix it it tried to charge my card again. But my card declined it the transaction because the first Uhaul transaction is already pending in my account. Now I have to wait till the first charge goes through till it is all fixed. I am not happy about this at all.
Arlene ZRALKAI don't understand why when choose online pickup, I still have to go into the store, wait for someone to be available, lookup my reservation, and hand me some keys. There was a lockbox outside, but that wasn't an option. Also, I expected the dolly and moving blankets to be in the truck when I picked it up. Unfortunately I needed to ask the staff at the store to get those and bring them out to the truck. They said, "when you book online we have no idea what equipment you reserved until you pick it up." That seems dumb and forced me to wait even longer. I also wasn't thrilled that the large advertising sun visor was still in the windshield and I had to remove it before I could go. I picked the truck up over an hour after the start time of my reservation and it was far from "ready to go."

From the cashier at the front who greeted me to the young gentlemen who helped me put the trailere on the hitch and made sure that everything worked correctly and if I had any questions. Returning the trailer was just as easy as picking it up. Once again, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I will always use this location for all my U-Haul needs as well as Ace Hardware visits.

FRED CARDENASI ordered a 15foot truck and none was available had to get a 10 foot and then had to make two trips and i didn't receive any discount. When I picked up truck and drove down the street the tire light was on passenger tire only had 30 pounds in it. Passenger seat belt also didn't work.

When I finally picked up, I was forced to Take a second vehicle as the passenger side seatbelt was inoperable. I am happy with the location, great folks to work with, extremely dissatisfied with U-Haul.

SONYA HUNTI reserved a 20' truck and the moving company Chicago Pack & Move for the morning of May, 26th for a 6 hr move. The moving company contacted multiple times leading up to this date to confirm the time that I needed them that morning which was 10 am. While the pick up of the reserved truck went perfectly well, I called the movers to confirm that they would be there on time and the gentleman told me they were on another job in the city of Chicago. After he apologized for the mix up he said they would try to get out to Hobart, IN (where I was moving from) by 12:30 in the afternoon. Working in logistics I know that these things sometimes happen so I pushed the rental time back until 5 pm and expecting them to still be out here. Around 11:45 a woman from the company calls me advising about travel time that it will take them a while to get out there. After this call, I call to arrange to keep the truck until 8 am without being charged extra to make sure they have enough time. Then, 30 mins later she texts me advising that the movers will not be out. At this point I'm angry and scrambling to find some movers that could come out but of course they are all based out of Chicago and on jobs, so no one is able to help. I call U-haul customer care a first time and they advise going through the moving help site. While I was able to get a refund back in the form of a credit from there that still didn't solve my problem as I have only arranged to keep this truck until 8 am. So, I call the location in which I rented the truck asking if I could swap the truck as the stated that another family had reserved it for the following day, and of course I could switch it out but I had to pay for another rental. They then advised calling the scheduler. Speaking to the scheduler they were able to move some things around but again, I had to pay to extend the rental. I explain my frustration in being that it feels like I'm being penalized for the situation that the moving company that I reserved through their market place created, but of course no one cared. So I had to pay an additional $86,41 to keep the truck completing the move the following day with the new movers from MMC (those guys are very good). I call Uhaul customer care again, hoping that I get better luck, and this time the pass the buck on to the moving company that cancelled last minute creating the situation. Realizing at this moment that I'm not going to get my money back, I hope that your move goes smoothly cause if it doesn't there's not a ton of understanding here when it comes to situations that are out of your control and you will be penalized for it.

Marsha JohnsonAll the people were super nice and helpful but the truck was not cleaned from the prior rental. It had dried mud & artifical Xmas tree needles all over it. I wasted over an hour of my time trying to clean it just so I could use it because I didn't want to put my stuff in it that way. I did voice my concerns when I dropped it off and was told yeah we have 1 person & 2 kids that do that, sorry. I dropped it off around 9:30am & then got a call at 3:27pm from Uhaul asking ifnI returned the truck because it had never been checked in. I told her yes & told her the issues I had & she replied ok I just needed to see if it was returned So I can get them to check it in. I was extremely disappointed in my rental with Uhaul this time.
