They claimed the mileage was way more than we used and we returned the vehicle with the same amount of gas as when we picked it up but they claimed it was less. They also tried to blame us for a dent that was already there at the time of pickup.Dylan T.

This review has much less to do with Larsen Feed than it does with U-Haul and their policies in general. Don't move my 6 AM reservation to an 830 AM 25 miles away. The truck I had came with the check engine light on, potentially causing the 3,5 less average MPG than was listed. I started off this U-Haul fiasco by calling in to get a more accurate quote and on the date of my pickup (3 weeks after quote) was informed it would be $1400 (fourteen hundred, not a typo) more than what I was quoted originally (~$875). They did nothing at the time to try and rectify the situation, only rudely point out that I could have found their error in the confirmation emails. When I went back to check the confirmation emails, there was no information that was incorrect or able to be seen from my end that was incorrect. So I put in a complaint and was given a $500 refund. That still doesn't fill the remaining $900 I was out and I'm left feeling very unsatisfied as a U-Haul customer. I will be forever warning my family and friends not to use Uhaul for any of their needs going forward unless I can be fully refunded. Overall this was an extremely stressful situation to deal with in an already stressful move out of state. My funds are limited between jobs and this was a burden I didn't need or expect.Garrett C.

The customer service at this location was excellent and very helpful, but there were difficulties accessing my reservation online because their internet connection was troublesome. With a little patience and good humor, however, I was successful in picking up the equipment and they were able to contact uhaul by phone to change my return location to a more convenient place.Philip S.
The truck was good and the size that we wanted. The problem was that it wasn't from the location that I originally reserved and when I was notified it was too late to change. It added an extra 18 miles plus gas expenses that I hadn't planned for.Donald M.
i was uncharged a ridiculous amount and will be calling customer service to get my money back. this is the second time i've used uhal and the second time i've had to call customer service to get money back after erroneous upcharges. i will not being using uhal again. severely disappointed and the way your business is conducted is unacceptable.Sara F.
The fuel filler hose was cut by someone to siphon gas through, so when I went to fill it up with fuel after I picked it up, fuel spilled all over the ground under the truck. I had to buy duct tape to patch the hose to get fuel in it. I picked it up with 3/8 of a tank. If Uhaul required previous renters to fill the tank prior to returning the truck, this wouldn't happen because either A. they wouldn't be able to put gas in it without knowing that the fuel line had been cut or B. I woukd have noticed that the fuel tank was not full when I picked it up (i.e. the fuel was stolen while in Uhaul's possession. ) I use rental cars for my business and they are always issued with a full tank and require all returns to have a full tank or you get charged for it and the rental car company fuels the car full for the next renter. Uhaul should most definitely adopt this practice.David G.

Using the U-Haul app for my drop off was extremely difficult since it could not find my location on GPS it took me 30 minutes to complete the process. Extremely disappointed with the so-called convenience of the app. A massive waste of my time and a huge frustration.Valerie H.

The lady I spoke to on June 4th at 12:30 pm at Larsen's Feed was highly rude to me. I did not appreciate the tone she spoke to me in at all. I paid a lot of money for this service, so I expected good quality and respect. There was a lack of communication all around in this U-Haul company, and it caused me to lose money. I am a college student moving into a new house, and I lost money because of a mistake this company made on my order summary. There was a different date for it, and a different date on my contract for the drop off date. This caused me to get charged an extra day for something I was not aware of. Make sure all dates align for truck drop off, on both order summary and contracts, because if not, it will cause more confusion for customers in the future, and my situation will also potentially happen to them as well. This will surely drive more customers away because they are afraid of losing money also. I was already mad as it was that I lost more money from this mistake, but what made it worse was the lady's attitude that helped me. She did not pay attention to my concerns I was voicing to her, and just helped another customer instead. I felt ignored and like I did not matter as a customer. That was by far one of the most degrading customer service experiences I've had in a while, and I will never use this company again.Johnny O.

This was a disaster from the beginning. The location is almost impossible to see that it is a UHaul rental. I was given zero information about how to return the truck, I was not told about business hours and and off hour fee I was going to be charged. I had the van for 2 hours and drove 9 miles and you are going to charge me almost $60. What a rip off and shame on you UHaul. I entered the drop off property and it was dark and raining. The parking lot was full of puddles and no light. That location is seriously dangerous for a 5'2â€ single woman returning a truck. I have never been more concerned for my safety ever!!! I will report you to the Better Business Bureau. At the time of renting the van online with the timeframe needed I should have been notified of an after hour fee. At the time of picking up I should have been notified of an after hour fee. I was given zero information and spent close to 45 minutes trying to figure out how to drop off the van. The key box is not well marked, too far away from the truck. The truck has a broken mirror. There is no furniture trolley inside the truck. Please pay me that part back. The overall experience was terribleshusen H.

This was the worst experience that I ever had with U-Haul! I was quoted $19,95 over the phone. Skeptically, I asked "are you sure, there isn't anything else," and the employee said "Yes, it's $19.95." So, after I paid $127, I was understandably angry. That is not $19.95. The last time I rented a U-Haul, if you were an in town rental you could choose either a mileage rate or an in town flat rate. Anyway you slice it the employee was WRONG! Also, I asked if I could return it a little later (1 hour late) due to my work schedule, and they could not be bothered to help me. Which would have been fine, annoying but fine. The employee said that I could do a night drop and as long as I used the app I wouldn't be charged. Well, I used the app and I was still charged. I wasn't able to access my contract. It didn't come up when I searched. I used the contract number, my phone number, email, last name, everything to try to look up my order. I tried to get the process started at my home before I returned the truck, just in case, and the app said that I need to be on-site of the U-Haul location in order to get the process started. In fact, when I arrived at the location I spent over an HOUR trying to use the immensely ineffective app. That was a mistake, but I just tried to have faith. Well, I'm never having faith in your company again because when I got the U-Haul location and I tried to use the app, I was unable to access my contract therefore, stymieing the process. Absolutely, terrible. Nothing worked the way anyone said it was supposed to! Awful experience, terrible employees--super unhelpful, super grouchy, just not nice or helpful people! I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy! Thanks for nothing. Actually, no thanks, the employees simply didn't do their job, in fact, your business were one that actually relied on word of mouth rather than need, your company would have gone Bankrupt long ago. F**K that employee and manager for gouging me, giving me misinformation, and being a general A**HOLES! I hated this experience!JOHN S.

The attendant was unable to get assistance from U-Haul dispatch. The smart phone pick up and return procedure is terrible and I watched people come in to rent and give up seeing that the procedure is time consuming, onerous, invasive and inefficient. Overall experience was horrible! I reserved trailer weeks before, and was called the day before to be told I would have to drive 100 miles round trip to get a trailer larger than I reserved. I expected the location 15 minutes from my house, not 50 miles away. Uhaul had to know days before there was a problem, but waited until 18 hours before to notify me. I called in the morning (9am) and said I would be a few hours late (4pm scheduled, would pick up after 7) she told me no problem I will be listed for 24/7 and could get it at any time. Got an email at 6pm that my reservation was cancelled. Had to spend 45 minutes on the phone to get the truck picked up while I was on site to pick it up. End of the day the location did not update my reservation & that was confirmed to me when I was calling to pick this up. Very frustrating when I am already in the rush of moving.Adam S.

The gas level was not where it was indicated on the contract. Contract level was 5/8, actual level was just under half tank. Unfortunately, I was in a rush to get to another appointment and didn't complete the inspection, totally my fault. However I did take a photo of the correct fuel level. Other than that, my experience was exceptional so I ended up filling the tank to the level indicated on my contract.JESSICA S.

From the very beginning to the end shit show. Tried to book online. But was not able. Then waiting on hold for 35 mins. To finally talk to nice lady that I thought had everything right. Then when sent the driver to pick up. They told him he was unable. And I the only one that was on reservation will be the one that has to pick up. When from the very beginning I told her I was paying and my uncle was driving. I am 4 hours away. My Dad had stroke and was moving him half way across the county. After sitting on the side of the road. For hour and 20 mins. Talking to 9 different people and paying in full for the truck. When I was told we could pay when it was dropped off. Shit show beginning to end. What you can do to improve. Teach everyone the same thing. Don't have one person say something and the next tell you that's not what we do. Bad for business. And drives customers crazy. When the last person said ya your all set. Waist everyone time and money. Will I ever go throw that again no. Would rather buy trailer and tow it. Then sell for 4700. This review is actually for the UHaul location 3601 Santa Rosa, Ave , Santa Rosa Ca 95407. I have â€œnever â€œ had a positive experience at this location. As much as I like renting from UHaul , when it comes to this location I will search out any and all other businesses in the area to get what I need to avoid renting from this location , I'm willing to pay more ; it's that terrible !!! When I have absolutely no other option, and forced to rent at this location . I dread it knowing something will go wrong, and it does . The manager â€œDonâ€ should be replaced in my opinion , his management skill are truly insufficient . It reflects with pretty much all staff dealing with customers inside & out , need retraining. I as a client should never have to show a employee how to properly hook up a trailer , and yet It happened ! He â€œ tried / tries â€œto twist situations so constituents working there are pretty much blameless, holding the client accountable which means more cost & possible damages to the client .He has even gone to the the point of heavily , heavily construing ( lying ) company protocol while having the displeasure of speaking with him. Listening to his idiocies as he tried to convince us he was providing a favor , that's fair with unjustified and excessive charges. This is just the tip of an incredibly ridiculous conversation. I seriously suggest he be replaced with a more ethical person that values company standards of service , and hold those he governs over to as well . Your clients are not ignorant , nor do they appreciate being treated as if in any form. Like all businesses you aren't without clients . Show a little more respectEMMETT K.

The communication was horrible when I returned the vehicle. I rented the vehicle at 1:54 and I returned it at 1:54 then I had to wait for 15 minutes for the cashier to finish helping someone else, and when they did it was way past my return time but they charged me for another day based on that!
