The truck I received was dirty and full of food in the cab of truck. They gave me the wrong truck and I was charged on my credit card 3 times for 3 different amounts. $163,28 Feb 7th, $785,92 Feb 7th and $168,77 Feb 10th. Regional manager corrected this locations screw up and refunded the $785,92 & $168.77. I'm still waiting for the funds to return to my credit card. This has left me totally strapped for cash with no way of getting groceries or anything for our personal use. We are also charge overage fees on our credit card. As far as I'm concerned, my rental should have been reimbursed in full and for for all my troubles that rental should have cost me nothing. I am very discouraged and disappointedVernon C.

The location would not accept debit payments and I had to leave the location for them to call me back a few hours later to tell me that they will take my debit card payment I run a business I have a personal credit card and I have a business debit card I use my personal card just to hold the rental and my business debit card to pay for the rental places should not be able to rent out uhaul a if they will not allow for debit payments I should be able to make any kind of payment at any location that rents uhaulsNATHAN R.

Very poor experience. Bad communications at the end when I returned the vehicle. Billed me for 74 km when I only used the van for 16km.HAMIDREZA T.
I was very upset with how this was handled. The clerk claimed he was too busy to check on the orders list for the day. When I showed up at the appointed time, the van was not there and I was not informed ahead of time that the drop off did not happen. He attempted to call the person before me with the vehicle and they did not reply for a while. He then asked for me to leave and I was going to be called later when something did arrive. I had to tell him "No. You messed up, I needed this van at this time and I have people waiting for me. So please get something." He was left on hold with UHaul. The clerk eventually heard from the previous rental person and they quoted 15 more minutes (already 10 minutes late at this point). Didn't even arrive until another 30 minutes after that. AND left trash in the van as well as bad B.O. smell that wouldn't go away all that day and the next that I had the vehicle. The clerk and another clerk that eventually showed up kept calling me "buddy" which doesn't really help with the situation. I was provided nothing for compensation as I had to go around and apologize to everyone that was waiting on me.Joshua R.

Every time I do mobile pickup the tank has less than half. They try to charge you when it isn't full on return. This has happened twice the first time I didn't have to pay it the 2nd they just took it off my cardDavid E.

Truck rental was changed at the last minute from the 10' that I requested to a 15'. Instead of getting an apology or any compensation, I was told that I wasn't being charged anything extra. It was as though no one could understand why I wasn't immensely grateful for the "upgrade" that I neither asked for nor wanted. Incidentally, my "upgraded vehicle" had an empty box of timbits and an empty carton of cigarettes on the floor of the cab, not to mention a box spring and tarp in the box, presumably left behind by whomever rented the vehicle previously. That something as conspicuous as a box spring could go overlooked speaks volumes about a severe lack of quality control. I'm sincerely hoping that a representative from U-Haul will be contacting me shortly to tell me that this was all an elaborate prank.Matthew W.

While a rep at another uhaul location told me to just check for all availability info online, the rep at this location told me exactly what they had and when they'd be available. He was responsive to my needs, immediately willing to help, and very respectful to me and other customers during all parts of the interactions. The truck was not inspected by employees before we left. We asked him to go and inspect while we were there and were told we were supposed to just take a picture if the dash. My husband was the driver and does not have a phone. Employee should have done came out as requested. I received a phone call after leaving the location stating there was not enough gas in the tank and I was going to be charged an additional 40 dollars. We went to the gas station 2 mins from this location and made sure it was back to where it was when we picked it up. I tried to object but because we had already left and he did not inspect the the truck while we were there, I didn't know if he was trying to pull a fast one on us, or if he went outside and checked the correct truck even. he told no matter what he was charging an additional 40 to my credit card. It was at half tank when we picked up. He claimed we only filled to quarter tank, it would have not taken 40 dollars for barely a quarter tank of gas. Definitely was not impressed. After spending $550 for one way to be charged an additional $40 when we know we upheld our end of the contract was extremely frustrating. I will definitely not be using this location again. And if I ever need to rent a uhaul again I will argue to have employee inspect truck while I am there. Overall disappointed.Wiliam J.

They should have staff available during renting hours to process transaction smoothly and walk you out to the truck, show or explain anything needed. The parking lot for the trucks was easy to spot off the main road but quite congested but we did have a spot to park it for the time being. The office was across the street in a variety store but easy to locate. We dropped it off with ease and overall it was a great experience using U-Haul. I had booked a truck at the Lassalle location then I received an email stating I will have to pick it up at the minow lake location which I had to drive all the way to the another side of the town. Upon arrival, they (minow lake location) told me that they only have VAN, not the truck. The guy told me to contact customer care and upon calling they sent me to the Lassalle location (which I had booked initially). It was time-consuming and no inconvenience was mentioned by the customer care rep upon calling. I would rate management average if I could.NILAY P.

Sadly we reserved a 26' truck 6 weeks in advance only to find out, by uhaul head office and not the location we picked up at, a day before we were to pick up the truck we were advised all there was only was a 15' truck available. Eventhough uhaul compensated us with reduced mileage rates, it took us 3 loads verses 1 trip. Made this move a very long day.RONALDJ D.

Monitor transmission and vehicle performance The tranni wasn't shifting correctly but it wasn't to bad didn't affect the gas mileage On a positive note we rented it for 4 days and the total of it that cost us was only $520 and we only had to put $200 down because either credit card or cash they are very polite very understanding when I called in and told him I was going to be late I'm very professional I would recommend these guysDWAYNEO T.

The online booking portal takes too long for approval. My last rental took over 30+min just to get to me while im paying for data on my cell at high rates. Hire more reps for your call center / on line center. Further more twice for this rental I wanted a 10' truck but both online bookings DEFAULTED to a cargo van. The cargo van inside was disgusting and a safety hazard during this time of COVID 19. There was a used mask and food on the seat. Open pop can and coffee cups. Sticky and dirty condition. I would not have taken it but it was the only van and I was only in Sudbury for the day to move my daughter from university. I feel that I should be compensated and that dealer should be consequenced.kelly W.
