I was supposed to pick up trailer at Midgard in Anderson SC. When I got there, I was informed that uHaul was supposed to call me because Midgard didn't have the trailer. UHaul failed to call. After I drove across town, entered the gas station, the attendant handed me a portable phone with a man online. He sent me a text and asked me to send over my DL and then told me to go find a specific trailer. After searching the lot, with no assistance, the trailer wasn't there. I sent him a text message that he didn't respond to. I had to walk into the gas station again and have the attendant call him back and he gave me another trailer. There was no one present to assist with picking the trailer up and placing it on the truck, zero assistance in hooking the trailer up. I was initially supposed to pick up the trailer at 4:30 and at 5:45, I finally had the trailer on the truck. When I got home, the trailer was covered in sand and dirt inside and had to be swept out. Terrible experience. If I have to utilize Liberty Food Mart BP for uHaul pick up again, I will not use UHaul. A compete customer service overhaul should take place there.Kevin B.

Customer no service and the worst drop off location ever! Owner initially did not want to accept trailer despite it being the drop off location in the contract. Owner then refused to help unhook trailer, instead stating if I needed help I needed to go to another location. Rude, unprofessional, uncaring, and embarrassment to U-Haul. Franchise should one pulled. I would avoid this location at all costs as you will be disappointed!!David N.

The online info requirement was time consuming and not user friendly.. I rented a $70 car carrier 20 to 25 minutes to get the paperwork done you felt like you were buying a house with all information required. It would've been nice to pick up the phone and call a number and talk to an American who speaks perfect English and they don't have the information over the phone and make it happen. I had your product back within three hours and ithe carrier worked great, But I get tired like 99 % of Americans are dealing with companies that refuse to even have an operator that you can talk to live to help you everything is impersonal and computer generated. People wanna be treated like people and they want to talk toAmericans if they live in America. If you want to improve your company service get a few real people and make the process easy.If you want to improve your service ,this is as plain and simple as it gets and if not then don't Waste peoples time asking for comments. I hope you don't take this is being rude I'm just to the point and I hope you have a great daymickey H.

It took the clerk 20 minutes to check me in. She was going between me and other customers in the store. Would not recommend this site to anyone. And I won't use uhaul again.Debra B.
I needed the truck at 8:00 am, she didn't open until 9:00, on a Saturday no less. I had ordered a hand truck, appliance mover, furniture mover, and blankets. Yup, just got the blankets. A previous driver must have spilled something sticky because my sneakers were sticking to the floorboard. Although she was very accommodating when I needed to keep the truck an extra day. I moved my parents & they have ALWAYS used U-Haul for themselves, my siblings, and my grandparents over the years. It'll be hard if a move is ever needed again because we will probably need to look elsewhere. This just wasn't what the family remembers U-Haul being.... your quality is diminishing. The location that I reserved was not open. I didn't receive any calls or information informing me of that until I called the morning I was supposed to pick up the truck. Then after 15 minutes or so on the phone , I was told to drive 30 minutes out of my way to another location that was supposed to be open at 8 am. Once I got there, I found out the location didn't open until 9 am. This inconvenience cost me an additional $150 in moving help being the rental was supposed to be at 8 am so my hired help was standing around waiting on a uhaul truck for an extra hour. This also coat me an extra hour on the unload end for a total extra cost of $300.Kevin S.

I like this location only because she has had equipment that no other dealer has and I like that they are open when other places are not. Their customer service is nothing spectacular. I was unable to back my trailer in, my husband was not with me. She admonished me like I was a child. I finally got in my vehicle and just drove off. Took picture so I wouldn't be accused of not returning her equipment in good conditionJondrea S.

I made a reservation to pick up truck a week in advance near my home. On the day of pickup, the location was changed. This took extra miles, meaning more $ paid. The gas station personnel were late on day of return, then had trouble figuring out my bill. The Uhaul contact # is a joke with 20 minute wait time & the website is not customer friendly.Lynda C.

When we arrived to pick up the U-Haul, there was a note on the cash register that said the cashier went to waffle house and will be back in 20 minutes. Once we were finally able to get the U-Haul, we walked out to inspect it and it was filled with baby cockroaches. We walked back in to tell the cashier and she asked why we couldn't just sweep them out. She ended up giving us a bigger U-Haul but only because we told her that we wouldn't take the one with the cockroaches in it. Absolutely disgusting and the last time I use this.CODY B.
This Uhaul location: Liberty Highway Foodmart BP was horrible and has a nasty attitude when trying to pickup my Uhaul. I reserved a 15' truck with a auto transport and when I arrived my truck nor my auto transport was ready to be picked up and the auto transport was not hooked up to the truck. I was told by the lady that they don't hook up the transport to the trailer and I would have to do it myself. I was very confused on how they are a Uhaul location but don't do the basics with hooking up their transport to the truck. I am a female and don't know the first thing about hooking up a transport to a truck and the owners were very rude and said they are not doing the hook up and suggested I should call someone to do it. Luckily I had someone to hook it up I otherwise I wouldn't be able to move my items. This location need to be shut down and not be able to run or be a Uhaul location because they are rude and racist to their customers especially African Americans and it's obvious they want the business but not be bothered with customers and only want to run their BP gas station that's it. Clerk has a really bad attitude. Also, when I booked the rental, I put the maximum mileage to be driven to 35 miles which left me with a 107 estimate. For some reason this jerk imposed a 250 mile range to my rental driving the deposit up to $289.00. There was no reason for this as I had already communicated that I would be returning the vehicle to the same location within 24 hours which is a clear indication that I would be traveling less than the less than the 250 miles added. I'm almost inclined to feel like he added the additional mileage because I'm black. I'm very interested to see what non-African Americans are charged for a deposit at that location. I will never rent another Uhaul from the location.Dale W.

I had actually put more fuel in the vehicle than was in it when I picked it up which was just barely over a half tank. I had refueled to almost three quarters of a tank. I had taken pictures of the odometer but not the fuel gauge upon picking up. Apparently where I picked vehicle up stated that it was a full tank. I in turn had to put an extra $50 of fuel in which I did not even use. This perturbed me greatly.Jock B.

It's a gas station on an interstate and there was only one person working there. It was busy, constant flow of people buying gas and snacks, so it probably took longer than it should've to get checked out.Michael J.
Uhaul needs to allow customers to pick a location. Both the pickup and drop off locations they wanted me to use were 30+ min from where I needed them with several locations on each end that were MUCH closer. Poor experience with Uhaul as a company and won't be using againEric S.
I had issues with the app in returning the rental. Luckily the location I was returning to was able to process my return. The issue I had was in taking and submitting the picture for the mileage in the return process. I tried 5 times, but the image didn't upload/register.Thomas T.

The local did not have a 15' truck that we requested when booking the reservation online weeks before. They provided us with a 20' truck. The truck smelled SO strongly like marijuana. We spent over 2 hours on the phone with representatives from UHaul trying to figure out how to reserve another truck. I spoke with over 4 representatives. A few of them were nice, but transferred me to the Midlothian, VA office (not sure what was so unclear about me telling them that I was still in Anderson, SC). We finally got in touch with someone from Anderson, SC and she had such an attitude, however she did try to help and found us another 20' truck at another location, but at that point this whole experience was awful we didn't trust getting another truck. We had to spend our own money on cleaning supplies and air fresheners to clean the truck. We will ABSOLUTELY never book with UHaul again after this.Brooke T.

Customer service sucks. They try to force you to take the insurance even if you tell them that you don't want it. I followed instructions given to me by the young man that was working there, but apparently he gave me the wrong information. Even if they tell you to just drop the trailer off, you need to have some one sign off on the date and time or they will over charge you. In addition to the extra day, they charge a service fee if you drop off and not notify them. Even though I was told to just put it back where I got it from. I have used uhaul a dozen times. Never had absurd charges like this. No one has ever complained about me dropping off on the lot. Will never return to this location again.Kenny F.

I have a video. Apparently uhaul has no control over this franchise and the person told me she isn't affiliated with uhaul. Hours I booked were 0800. It doesn't open until 0900. Rebecca from uhaul says it's not uhauls fault. Keep pointing fingers, that always works. Also hired uhauls â€œmuscleâ€. They never called. Never showed up. I wanted my money back. Called uhaul and Spoke to a manager Rebecca. She said it wasn't a uhaul issue. Apparently uhaul isn't really helpful even though I booked it all through uhaul. All around a complete fail. Customer Service Representative didn't speak English, so he called someone and handed me the phone. We were concerned about drop-off as a result. The facility inside is not clean. In the end we ended getting our closed invoice via email and all worked out. The location is perfect for a quick drop-off and location to a highway.ROBERT B.
