Would be nice to know before hand that a photo of the gas gauge and odometer will be needed. After a 4 hour drive and unloading boxes and furniture all day, we were exhausted. Accidentally locked keys in the truck when I had to go back and take photo. It was 8pm and we had been up since 5:30 am. Had to pay another $200 for locksmith. Have used uhaul before and never been asked for a photo.
LEE KOur U-Haul was overheating on the way to our location and did not make it back to our school. The U-Haul was left for it to be towed. My group was 75 people large with large instruments that ended up being moved to the bus. Not only was this situation inconvenient for a middle school band but also dangerous for our driver.
Kayla RThere was no lift available for the trailer, no assistance provided. Had to use my car jack to get the trailer hooked up. The lady was nice and serv9ce was good, just lack supplies
Michael OI had a major problem with paperwork. Received an email/link to add photos of the trailer. I added the photos AND selected the option for roadside coverage. When I hit continue for submittal it failed indicating a timeout failure. Was told by service to try again. Unfortunately the option to add roadside was not available this time. I submitted the photos and contacted service 3 different times (1-2 hours) to get the roadside coverage applied. All respondents told me roadside coverage could not be added. Keep in mind these folks were very courteous and tried to help. I insisted to speak to a manager and was told by the manager that it could only be done by the location I rented the trailer. I contacted the location and problem was solved in about 2 minutes. Recommendation: Inform all service personnel on the correct process so one does not spend hours trying to resolve.
