GLEN MCLEODThe battery was dead. It had to be replaced. There was no water in the radiator reservoir. And in fact, the radiator fins were above the water line. The power steering fluid cap was off and the list continues on. You gotta be kidding, this is scary. The only thing that saved us is your service.Guy who came out promptly did a great job.And we were able to make our ferry reservations for moving other than that we would have been in real trouble.

GLEN MCLEODDo not rent a truck when their office is closed. Their app did not work well for picking up a vehicle. I had to get on the phone and spent an hour to start the process for a pick up. I wasted an hour that was important for my move. Will not use this service again! They also forgot to include a dolly which I specifically requested. It would have helped our movers(friends and saved their backs.

David witzelWhen I received the truck it was closer to 1/8 tank of fuel rather than 1/4. Also there would not be an automatic environmental fee charged by U-Haul. With the km charge it was not that affordable anymore. Like look for a different company with cheaper rate next time

James HunterThese comments are based on first time rental wirth u-haul - van was in poor state of repair and needs major attention - charges seem extreme (paying $ 50 dollars milage and then paying another $34 for fuel after only travelling 33 km... the van was advertised from $19 and I ended up paying $129 ??. - location is very confusing, office is actually motorbike repair shop - staff were very friendly enough and pleasant to meet.
Andrew EdwardsWe used the truck for 10 km. The tank was ⅜ full when received. Why were we asked to fill it to the ¼ full level when we didn't use that much gas. We should only have to fill it to ⅜.

Mark PocockWe were called to be informed that our 15 foot booked panel van was not available at the agreed upon time of 9 am (previous customer had not returned it). When we called back 45 minutes later we were informed that it would be another hour. But that would not get us to North Vancouver by 11 am. We ended up taking a 10 foot panel van which we were just able to fit everything in. The staff at this location is very friendly and helpful but they carry limited stock of your UHaul products.

Daniel HillThe description on where to find the key was very misleading.. the description said behind the truck when the actual location was behind the building. It took us over 30 mins and many calls to UHAUL to understand what we were suppose to do to retrieve our key
Po-Yu ChiuWhen I opened the back roll-up door I found considerable plastic, styrofoam and cardboard in the truck that I had to unload and dispose of myself. While that was not a pleasant experience, I was pleased with the employees at the counter when I picked up/dropped off the key.

David Felipe Nino BlancoOil was low, absolutely zero windshield washer fluid, a safety concern. They clearly don't even check these things since there was a mouse nest under the hood made of mostly plastic and leaves. Glad I checked so the van didn't light on fire. Won't be renting from this location again.
Michael CalvertStaff were very helpful and friendly. Definitely would use this location again. My only issue generally with U-Haul is the reading of the fuel gauge to figure out how much to refuel to bring it back to the fuel level at pick up. Would it not be easier to start off with the full tank, and return with a full tank?

JUSTIN SCHULTZOver all it was everything I expected with u-haul. How ever I was charged extra for fuel I did not use. Although it was only $12,8 I actually put more fuel in the vehicle than I used and they still charged me. I have requested I get a refund for the $12,8 they charged me. The Service agent did not want to deal with this and said just call u-haul. Thank you Dennis Hall

Sydney PallisterVan wasn't where it was advertised. Lockbox was missing a lock, key could have been used prior to me locating it!! The lockbox was in a dark and possible dangerous location at the back of the shop. It took me over 1,5 hours to find it. I will never use UHaul again
Mark NeufeldWe spent close to an hour looking for the key box. Two operators on the phone didn't know where it was either. It was through the back down a gravel alley, we thought we were trespassing trying to find it. In the dark I never would have gone down there. In the end the box with my key was unlocked and open already. My RV didn't come with the equipment I had rented and paid for. In the end the operator said those add ons like a dolly were not guaranteed to me.

Calvin MckayThe driver's window must have been left open. The inside floor was wet and a puddle at the foot step up to the seat. I could not put my purse on the floor or my jacket. The driver's seat was wet. I had to take a bag from my car to sit on as it was it made my clothes wet when I sat on the seat. I did mention it when I returned the van. The cargo area was dry.

Darrin MahThe UHaul service I received in Tsawwassen was excellent. I rented the van for 24 hrs, I only had to drive 2 miles to my location and back and the key drop off was so easy. So the entire move was under $50. There was a questionnaire with photos requested, which I might have missed due to poor eyesight. My only recommendation would be to explain that to a customer.
trish hollandI don't have anything negative to say about this specific location. They are nice guys. However, the online reservation process was terrible. I got a confirmation number that my 15' truck would be available for pick up in Tsawassen on the date I requested. When that day came, the truck was actually in North Delta, about 20 kms away. I had no way to get to the other location. I had picked South Delta because i could walk to it. So I ended up with a smaller truck that took more trips and used more gas. This is the third time I've rented through uhaul and it's never gone smoothly. I've learned my lesson. Never again.
Laura GardinerWell when I order a 15ft truck that means I need a 15ft truck. I don't want to show up to a closed location and have a 9ft van waiting for me and customer service saying they can't do anything because they "left a message" (never received a voicemail) to tell us there was none available. I had someone call and ask if I wanted a pick up truck or a cargo van. I said no I don't need a pick up. He did not say there was no 15 ft available. He did not clarify that's why he was asking. It sounded like he was asking me if I was able to switch which is stupid since why would I go from a 15ft to a 9ft van let alone a pick up truck. If there was none available why would it say available at that location. Absolutely ridiculous. Looking to use different company when I move again in the next couple months.

James HeatheI have filed a formal complaint about the entire experience. From being rented a U-Haul with a 1/4 tank of gas to the unit running horribly, the check engine light came on the 2nd day early on so I dropped the vehicle off and had to organize my own personal friends vehicles to help me with the 2nd half of the move. If I am not compensated for this disaster I will never use U-haul again in my life or recommend it. What a crap experience!
WES MONTGOMERYThe truck made a loud buzzing sound, which sounded like a wheel bearing. We were also overcharged for the fuel. I drove 26 miles (40 kms) and put 10 litres into the fuel tank, but was charged an additional 9 litres. That's approximately one litre per 2 kms which is obviously wrong. i would like the fuel charge reversed.

Grant YoungsonI confirmed my rental by phone wiht UHaul three times. I booked one month in advance, with my final confirmation 24 hours before pick up. When I arrived and used the app, I was prompted that the location did not do 24/7 pick up, despite three confirmations by phone. The vehicle I had come to pick up had been extended a day on line by the previous renter, so was not even available. I walked on to my ferry reservation without a vehicle. I had to have someone pick me up in Victoria and get me to a UHaul location there. I then had to pay more than double as I was now doing a 'one way' trip despite this not being my plan originally. This was an absolutely brutal rental experience that had so many people jumping in on both sides of the ferry to help us with drop offs and pick ups. We were moving my son out of university and could not delay a day. Very sad for how this all went down. The 24/7 pick up absolutely did not work. And the 'check engine' light was on the entire time. I need to stop now, trying to move on from this.
