My experience was the worst ever for renting a truck. To qualify I spent 33 years in the military and over 20 moves. The Issues was not the Location but U-Haul It self. Took over 1,5 hours to get truck. Your app is horrendous. The person on the phone with me for that hour and a half agreed so you need to get this fixed. Drop off app didn't work either and took U-Haul 2 hours for my call back...this is unacceptable. Bottom Line if I cant get a rep on the phone in a few minutes and your app gets fixed . I will never use you again. The Only reason I am even giving you feedback is because the Lady at the Lytle went out of her way and she had to call U-Haul to get my issues fixed.Doug S.
I had initially been planning to pick up truck early in the a.m. using your app but uhaul called me and asked me if 9:30 am was okay because they wanted me to wait till the business was open, i said sure. I showed up at 9:30 and the lady at the counter told me my keys were in the lock box outside and to use the app to get them. I downloaded the app and had to sign up before i could proceed. Then the app connected me with an agent through text who said they would work on getting me approved. I told them they should have done this days ago when i reserved truck, they told me they can't do that. So i waited for them to finish so i could get code. When it came time to return the truck i asked the lady behind the counter if she wanted me to put the keys back in the lock box or give them to her. She looked annoyed and said she would handle it when she had time so i gave her the keys and left. I won't rent from uhaul again. Thanks, Josh MillsJosh M.

the front wheel on the drivers side was on the verge of having a blow out. the tire was dangerously worn on the inside of the wheel. the truck as a whole was dirty, i found a corn dog under the seat and it smelled of cigarettes. THIS IS A REVIEW ON THE TRUCK NOT THE LOCATIONRUDY M.

The U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer (Lytle Mini Storage) was listed on uhaul website as a 24 hour truck rental drop-off point. I dropped the truck off on Sunday as per my agreement, however; I accidentally forgot the dolly I also rented on the contract 1 1/2 hours away at the other house. I picked up the dolly early Monday morning and attempted to return it to the nearest uhaul location. They were unable to accept it because the truck had not been received as returned in the system. The Customer Service Representative (very nice) tried to contact the uhaul site where I dropped off the truck in Lytle but no one ever answered the phone. It was then we discovered that the site I dropped the truck off at was Closed on Mondays. The nice woman at the Kerrville Uhaul office instructed me to drop the $12 a day dolly rental where I dropped off the truck in Lytle and place it in the back of the truck and come Tuesday morning when the Lytle Uhaul office opens they will check in the truck and dolly sinced the Lytle office was closed on Mondays. Well; come Monday afternoon I received a call from the Lytle office (which is closed on Mondays) where I dropped off the truck saying they are going to charge me a total additional day of $40 because of the missing dolly. I firmly disagreed with the woman and explained that I tried to return it at a Kerrville Uhaul location and would have been able to if she would have only answered her phone when the Kerrville office called her. I said I refuse to pay the $40 but would gladly pay $12 for an additional day on the dolly. She then threatened to charge me $150 for the dolly and that I would still have to return the dolly. I said he'll no, for $150 I'll keep the dolly. She then stated she would call the cops and report it as stolen and give them my address. After a few (several) more words she said if I return the dolly and place it in the truck then Tuesday when they normally open she would accept everything with no additional charge, which I agreed to do and I did. She said technically she would have charged me $150 anyway even with the dolly present come Tuesday morning because the truck would have been accepted in the system a day late. My big question is why on the Uhaul website is this Lytle location listed as a 24 hour a day drop-off point if the office isn't there to do There Job On Time and just charge a late fee to the customer? Why, why, why, there is No logical answer you can provide for this question so don't even try. I read every sign twice at the Lytle drop-off office location before dropping the keys in the designated drop-off slot by the front door and none, let me repeat; none of them said anything in relation to not being a 24hr drop-off point, nor anything about being Charged Late Charges! They seemed helpful but the man helping us thought he was helping to save us money but had us paying WAY more than we needed to. He happily changed around my preferences because I asked and the total went down a lot. So make sure to ask questions.Katie B.

We received excellent customer service through out the moving process. Catherine, the U-HAUL Representative, is clearly passionate about U-HAUL, enjoys helping people; and works well with others. We were greeted in a friendly manner, and that made us feel at home. The truck was clean and ready for service when we received it, and it performed very good through out the move. I would recommend U-HAUL to family, friends, and others, and especially this location for their moving needs. Thanks for making our move a pleasant experience. Do not change a thing. Reserved truck was not available at our Austin location, so we had to call around to find a truck ourselves, ended up driving 200 miles round trip to get one! Not a great system, won't recommend uhaul in the future. :/serena M.
My experience was awful I reserved a truck in Castroville, Texas. I went 56 miles to confirm my reservation because I could not get anyone to answer the phone. After getting there the clerk informed me she had no truck, as she had already rented it to a regular customer a few minutes earlier. When told I had made my reservation 2 days earlier. She replied she may get one the following day but no guarantee. I was told I could drive another 15 miles to get a truck if I wanted it is hat bad! Since I had scheduled help to move me I had no choice. I get to Lytle. Texas and explain I had a reservation for a truck 2 dozen pads and a dolley with 100 miles included for $98.00.. Since out of 4 locations in Uvalde none had trucks and corporate gave me this deal for me going to get the truck and earn my business. The lady explained no corporate was wrong I would pay $134 and some change for a truck, dolley, and 1 dozen blankets or I wouldn't get the truck. I had no options at this point. I had already bought $113,46 worth of boxes, tape, and bubble wrap. I have used U-haul 20 plus times in my military career and post career never have I been treated like this. I called to corporate and complained. Big deal they gave me a $50 refund. Huh, that is because you have a guarntee that says if your truck isn't ready you'll gladly refund $50.00. News flash my fellow active duty and veteran members use anyone but U-haul if this is how they do business now go with someone else....I'm moving again as this is a one year assignment and I can promise you with a full refund on this move for there total disregard for my business I will never use u-haul or recommend them to my junior personnel...Guy M.
I was told I could drop off the trailer at Brown Equipment Rental at 177881 I-35 S as they had a 24 hour drop off. When we went there on Sunday, July 3, the gate was locked and I was unable to leave it there. I found out on Tuesday, July 5, that I could have left the trailer on the outside of the locked fence, but I did not feel this would be safe to do. If you are going to have locations that state they have 24 hour drop off, they need to have a secured location to leave your equipment. Anyone could have picked up the trailer if I had left it outside the locked fence. I would have been responsible for it if this had happened. Not a good situation in my opinion.Deborah C.

Thank God for the pickup and drop off location. They were the only people to help me with concern for my experience. I reserved a truck a week in advance and the truck was not avaiable and i had to use a smaller truck. The 1-800 number people i called when i want to drop off the truck , the lady that took my call was rude and didnt give a shit about any issues i had. The drop off place was closed and she told me to leave the key under the mat and leave it open. I said ok until she said i would be responsible for the truck. That is stupid advise. I had to wait until monday until they opened to drop the key off before i could drive 5 hours back home. This experienced sucked excepted for the truck did great, I will never use U haul again. steve.Steven S.
The auto transport trailer was never qc'd. We blew the right rear tire tire about 2 hours into the trip. We had to wait for 3 hours for repairman to arrive. The repairman looked at all tires and the left rear tire has 3 flat spots and there was a huge gash/cut in the tire. Called in to try to get some sort of refund/adjustment since our whole trip was delayed and we were given an unsafe trailer to transport our show truck 1300 miles across several states from Texas to Las VegasBrian H.
The person completing the rental was not very well versed in the system. She called the 1800 number for assistance at which that point the person who assisted her was rude to both the Lytle worker and my husband. We had originally completed an online rental for a 20' truck and the location only had a 15' truck. The worker needed help fixing the charges and the 1-800 worker told them that because we had completed it online, they could change the charges and wanted to overcharge us! Absolutely horrendous customer service at the 1800 number and she was extremely rude to my husband. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. The process took well over an hour to be completed.Veronica C.

Clerk lied about insurance!!!!! I told UHaul I did not want the insurance. 5-10 after I drove off I called her and she said it was added by UHaul and she would call and get back to me. She NEVER did! Very disappointed in this location. Also the fact that I had to be rescheduled after hours the night before my move when I already ready had every one lined up to be at the house at a certain time. This caused a 2hr delay....the please where I was set to pick up the truck opened at 8 a.m. and I was getting a 17ft truck, then sent to a place that opened at 9:30 and only had a 15ft truck....that barely fit my stuff in it.
