I ended up with around 225 miles ( did not use up the original 230 miles which was upgrade to 260 miles), The gas consumption was 24 gallons or around 9 miles/gal on;ywhen it should have been at least 12 mpg when I was only driving between 50 to 60 mph to make sure I am in economy mode. Did not stop at all because it's so hard to back up without a rear view mirror or camera ( I was told the 10 ft does which in my original reservation). I was told by customer service that the 15 footer consumes the same as the 10 footer but it is definitely not true. I called customer service to set up the return to the location and was told that I had to return to another location when Macarthur 121 was okay with the return. I told customer service that I did not assign and is just calling to set the drop off almost a day earlier. She got upset but eventually fixed it and asked me to check my phone for a text message and hung up on me. Called return location and they are very helpful and confirm that they can accept with no issue. The dealer was very honest and explained that the 10 foot truck uses less gas compared to the 15 ft and apologizes for all my ordeals. He was patient to print the receipt to assure me that everything is in order upon return and that there are no extra charges. Both pick up and drop off dealers are great but the u-haul customer service are not. Failure to communicate and giving the wrong information when customer is under pressure because I was told we told to be thankful to have a truck at a different city at the last minute.John R.
This is by far the best U-Haul rental spot around Coppell / Lewisville / Irving. The staff here is super helpful and friendly. The world would be better if all businesses treated their customers the way these guys do. PS - Do NOT rent from the Chevron on Beltline / Denton Tap. They are awful.Thomas D.

The truck wasn't ready the night we needed it. We couldn't start the move until the next day. In addition to this, we were told U-Haul was going to contact us about a $50 inconvenience card but that never happened. Also, the key provided didn't work for the lock that was on the truck, so we couldn't secure our cargo.HENRY A.
Tire sensor fault light was on. Found out upon the return one of the tires was changed to the spare with no sensor. Would have been nice to have know in advance so we didn't have to worry about the tire being low. Also low windshield fluid light was on-should have been filled before we picked up the van.Gregory V.
Engine light on gas cap light on was told it was fine and was charged for two gallons of fuel we left the vehicle at the fuel level required and then next day seen on the bill 2 gallons charged to us, plain and simple rip off and no way we can fight it but we are going to leave a bad review for sure.Jennifer C.

My comment is this. I went 21 miles in this vehicle. I chose not to bring the gas level back up to where it was when I left. I have an HUGE issue with being charged for 3 gallons of gasoline for the usage of only 21 miles. I know I paid an up charge on the per gallon price of the gas but I certainly didn't even use 1 gallon of gasoline. I do know that I have other choices the next time I need to rent a vehicle or anything to help me with moving.Kelly P.

The hook came off from the ball just before I was about to return near uhaul station due to a bump. I did not touch the joint. I was lucky that there was no accident ot damage. The joint between my car and trailer should have been strong and it should not got loose due to a bump.RAJA K.

Location and on site staff were excellent. Your website for online check in is abysmal. Luckily, it worked for the drop off after hours, but the pictures are extreme. I don't believe for an instant that someone won't physically check it anyway. And to threaten ridiculous charges for not taking multiple pictures for you was obsurd. I'll never do that again. Uhaul is no longer my first search for truck rentals.Jesse M.

Make sure the truck works. I only had the truck for about 30 mins. Before it broke down. Called ers and it took them almost 2 hrs. to get to me. I started loading my truck at 10am and what was supposed to be a job that was done at noon became a job that ended at 5pm because my movers had to leave. The truck also broke down again at my destination/apt. and it took another hr. to come pick it up. Terrible experience. The guy at the u-haul place didn't seem to care at all and was only concerned about if I could bring the truck back before closing after I had already mentioned it broke down. Then called me the following day saying the towing company didn't give him the keys to the truck and was saying I might be responsible for replacing the keys. Again a terrible experience. I had a horrible experience. My initial reservation was for 10 at Parcel and Post 4643 Western Center Fort Worth. I arrived there to be told the 5x8 was broken and that my trailer was 30+ miles away in Lewisville. So, I call 1800 U- Haul to be put on hold or call back. I was called back in line at the Lewisville location to tell me that there was not one there either. It was 10 minutes away at the Macarthor location. Where I was finally helped after over 2 hours from my 10am reservation time. That is unsatisfactory!Lynn G.

Friendly service but the trailer had trash in it and the furniture dollies I ordered for pick up were not available. I was told those dollies were not tracked in inventory so it was hit or miss even with it being reserved. Why even offer it for reservation if you can't guarantee it?Viet N.

Not sure the Uhaul policy, but the vehicles need to be checked out for proper maintenance and safety before delivering to a customer. Peoples lives and valuables are at stake. Bad tire on the vehicle needed to be changed. Blowout occurred in transit. Two different repair services came, with the final being done properly. Customer Service Katie did a great job staying with me until we got the vehicle servicedted B.
The truck smelled like nasty cigarette smoke, the location is charging me for damage that was pre existing prior to my pickup. They never checked in the truck prior to renting it out. The keys were outside in a locked after hours drop box and they even advised it was dropped off after hours. So how can they say I did the damage when they never completed a check in process from the previous renter? Despite having a damage waiver for an extra $10 I'm still being charged $111 for damages because apparently the damage waiver only applies after $150 in damage which is in the super fine print apparently. This was my first time using this location as it's a franchise of sorts and it was not my choosing as my arranged place of pickup had a truck with a flat tire. I was additionally told I would receive mileage credit for this inconvenience as it was out of my planned route which as of 3 days later I still have not received. I have disputed these issues with the location was was told with a laughing â€œyeah good luck with thatâ€ by one of the managers at the location. I have disputes with Uhaul directly and will update after hearing back.Andrew H.

Had to wait a while to be helped. They didn't have the equipment I reserved, had to change pickup locations 3 times. Had to drive do another location 30 minutes away to get an appliance dolly that I had reserved. Got to the second location that supposedly had 3 dollies, but they only had one and the tightening system was broken but had no choice but to just take it and make it work with my own tie downs. Finally got to where I needed to pick up the furniture and when I arrived realized someone had broken two welds on the part that keeps the ramp from rolling out too far by stopping the wheels on the ramp that actually prevented the ramp from moving at all because of how badly it had been bent. Had to remove 4 bolts to get the ramp out which took about an hour because of where they were placed. In the meantime tried to get advice from the location. They said to call roadside. Was on hold for 30 minutes, tried to call a second time later, was put on hold again, then had the option to be called back later which I did. Ironically when they called me back I was placed on ANOTHER hold. Had to leave the truck at a drop off that was closed on Sunday so didn't even get to explain where was broken on the truck. Really hope they actually read the return info because that truck needs to be fixed before it's given to someone else. This experience makes me never want to use uhaul again.Davis S.

I was given the truck with under a quarter tank of fuelâ€¦ I drove it 4 miles after picking it up and the low fuel light comes on. I put 36 miles on the truck and put 12 worth of gas in it. When I returned it your person said it was okay to leave it, he did not look at it. He then sends me a receipt by email with added fuel charges, which is both unfair and dishonest. He said there was nothing he could do about it. I have been cheated and am very unhappy about it. I can tell you that your rep at the store couldn't seem to care less.James R.

I use MacArthur 121 Tire & Service Inc to service all my cars, so I was happy that they are also a U-Haul location. The people here are fantastic. I rent a truck/trailer at least twice a year, so this is my preferred location. The 6'X12' trailer I rented this week was a new model which had the most simple tongue-to hitch connection I have ever seen.Darrell O.

Saved the day after we found out that the original location, Leo's Pet Dispensary, was closed for good. They answered the phone promptly and found a solution to return the trailer instead of remaining on hold with uhaul customer service for 8+ minutes.Jason G.

Have the items that I rented on the truck when I come pick it up. I had to call the main help number to get what I needed, then had to drive 15 minutes to another location to get what I needed. No discount was offered when I didn't get what I paid for. Not even an apology.Derryk P.

The online process was self-explanatory, smooth and easy. The customer pick-up was conducted in a professional manner. There was a bit of a wait time, but it was to be expected at a tire shop. The van itself was clean and ticked all our boxes for a convenient and efficient move. No hidden fees, fast transaction with documented receipt.John H.
The truck was clean, but not well maintained. The vehicle we were given should not be driven on the highway as the tires were so out of balance it bounced all over the road and felt very unsafe to drive. I am used to driving trucks, that is not the issue. As I was driving down the highway, the driver window popped out of the rubber gaskets holding it into place. The window was being pulled away from the door frame about 6 inches. It seems like a miracle it didn't just shatter. We were not in an area we could pull over as it was a 2 lane highway. I slowed and was able to pull it in enough to roll the window part way down. My husband was able to put the window back into place and it not be an issue for the drive home. This is the worst rental truck I have EVER used. Not please at all with this shaking truck. POSStacie S.

I was forced to present lease documents to prove that I was a local renter. This rule was not stated prior to rental. I had to return home to retrieve these documents. Why does it matter where I live? If it does, customers should be forewarned. This is not the fault of the franchisee, it is the fault of U Haul.ROBERT JAMES R.
