No complaints. The ACE staff was great.
BRADLEY SThe only issue we had was when we got home to load up the U-Haul. There were crates of product in the back that were never removed from the last driver. So we had to drive all the way back to Ace to drop them back off. We were told we were gonna get a $20 credit from U-Haul and have yet to receive it.

MARILYN MReturn was problematic. Even though the trailer was returned on time, on the computer is was returned 2 hours later resulting in another days rental. It was rectified, but Uhaul corporate had to be consulted first. There should not be a lag beteeen returning equipment and processing the return
DENNIS BThe vehicle didn't have working AC - the fan made a very loud noise when turned on so it was hot and difficult to drive through the southwest. And the windshield wipers need replacing. The truck needs to be thoroughly inspected for all weather.
BRUCE MMy Uhaul was reserved on a timely manner and I verified the day before pickup of its availability becuase THREE TIMES I've had my reservation screwed up at this location. When I arrived to pick up vehicle the employee told me I have "no reservation and truck not available". I showed him my receipt and reservation number and he did not bother to look and only stated again, apathetically, "we don't have a truck available". It was then... after gaps of time and absolutely no assistance... that I pointed out 3 trucks on property and maybe he should check drop box for a truck that might have been returned. "O, that's a good idea" and he proceeded to move as slow as he could possibly go and found a key that fit truck. 45 minutes has gone by and I finally was able to go with a truck I had on reserve but told it wasn't available and I had no reservation. Sucky service and inept workers!! I will never rent from this location again. THREE TIMES this has happened and absolutely NOTHING (NOTHING!) will be done about it!

Cynthia FWindshield was covered in bug's inside had a film on it, had to put windshield washer fluid in, it had under a half of a tank of gas, it smelled like smoke inside, in the upper right hand corner of windshield was cracked
Ricky HTerrible customer service. I extended the reservation several times with Uhual Corp., but still received a voicemail in the middle of the day, in the middle of the week, while I was at work from this Uhual location in Ace Hardware saying "If you don't bring back our truck within one hour we will report the vehicle stolen." When I called back I was accused of not properly extending my reservation because I was texting a "random number", even though the number is Uhual corp. Additionally, this location said that they couldn't extend my reservation, even though I was paying a daily amount to rent it. Finally, we agreed they would call corporate to see if I was able to get the reservation extended. Which it was already extended, so there was no issue and this location's staff is just rude. Lastly, they added a $225 safe coverage fee that I did not authorize to my bill, and when I called them on the charge they said that I approved it when I extended my reservation. I have text message proof that I did not approve it. The main person I spoke to is Dave, and he has the worst customer service I have seen in a very long time. I would NOT recommend this location to anyone.

STEVEN MThe truck was clean but it was pretty beat, even for a "local only" truck. Mechanically the truck was lacking with an exhaust leak, rough running engine and transmission issues. With 150,000+ miles someone should evaluate this one for retirement.

Mark RHave a procedure in place to ensure rental truck keys are properly placed in their respective lock boxes. After completing my rental pick-up on my cell phone, it directed me to lockbox #1 to retrieve the rental truck key. When I opened the lockbox, it was empty (no key). Fortunately, the store was open and after a few minutes, they were able to provide me with the truck key which apparently was forgotten to be placed in the lockbox. Had this been after normal store hours, I would not have been able to get my rental truck.

Tim PThe rental process was good but the truck hadn't been inspected before it was rented out. We got home and loaded the truck and there was a very strong fuel smell. There was a screw in the gas tank and the gas leaked out all over the driveway of our new home. We had to wait more than an hour for a repair tech who was able to temporarily fix the leak so we could complete the move. We were delayed more than 2 hours on a very hot day. The store didn't charge us for gas but they still charged the full rental amount and gave no discount for our troubles. This is pretty awful customer service and we won't be using you or referring to others again.

shane bThis UHaul location was excellent. However, the location where we first made a reservation, at 447 W. Broadway Mesa AZ, was terrible customer service. Told us that we would have to go 50 miles away to pick up our truck because there were no others available. Clearly, we were able to get one at Dave's' Ace Hardware in Mesa.

darryl vthe truck was dirty on the inside and stunk of cigarettes pretty bad. if you are a non-smoker, like me, it is a repulsive smell. when I rented the truck, I was asked to estimate mileage and I said about 10 miles. the storage facility was exactly 1,3 miles from my home and I did two trips. it's not the money, it is only a few bucks, but charging me for exactly 10 miles, when I probably used it for 5 maybe 6 at most, it is dishonest. I returned the truck last night about 5pm, then I get a call this morning asking me to return the keys because they can't find them. when I returned the truck last night, the guy at the desk took the keys. when I asked for a receipt, he told it was going to be emailed and he walked away. it was disorganized.

brian hI got charged $7 for a dolly I didn't use. And had to rent a larger truck and pay more since the one I reserved was rented to some one else. A but disappointed on a day that wasn't easy to start with. I know I have a choice and I won't be choosing this again.
