I know u haul has various pickups all across the country but warehouse pickups like this are tedious. There was noone There to assist. Luckily I called a number on the warehouse and the owner who was supposed be at work had a day off and came to assist with my 5x8. Half hour late. How was I supposed to know how to install the hoich by myself if he was not there? Very strange, ...the contacts and calls I received prior this was very efficient and meticulous, but they did not match what happened on site.

there were no instructions on what to do when I arrived to pickup the trailer. There was nobody working at the location so I took the trailer, used it and returned it. Then I received a call from Uhaul a couple days later asking if I still needed to rent the trailer..... I left messages in the Uhaul app letting them know I had taken the trailer and returned it, no response was received..... Not a good experience. I was honest and paid for the rental when i could have just told them I didn't need the rental anymore and they would have had no idea that I used the trailer.

Patrick B2 items that I had problems with and I think are deceiving. First, the size of the Uhaul. I ordered the 20', but that is a misleading dimension. The only way to measure 20' is to take the measurement of Mom Attic. Useable space on the floor is approx 17'. Either that or we did not get the correct truck. We will have to make an additional trip because we had an item that would have fit 20' on the floor. Second, mileage is a crock. The mileage allowed is only from house (departure) to house (destination), it does not include the distance from the pickup to dropoff. This distance accounted for an additional 38 miles, or $38, added to my bill.

Tim HWe travelled 11 miles and the tire blew out of the driver's side of the trailer. My mom was having an emergency at home. This was very inconvenient. The man at the u haul came out without a mask. Did not feel safe. The place for pick up was too far down. We wanted to get the trailer in Sturgeon Bay and come back to house to load. The man was understanding when we didn't arrive at 9 since the distance was further away and we could go back to cabin to pack. I paid online to save time, but the man made us pay again. Didn't save time a blind no mask.
Ronald AThe guy wasn't even there to give us the uhaul., he had us take the keys out of a lock box. The uhaul was dirty and only had a half tank of gas to start. I also requested to pick the uhaul up in a closer area and was told I had to drive 30 minutes away to go pick it up. Went to load my S-10 and the transport I was upgraded to was not coupled to the truck. I was not given instructions on the operation of any of the equipment. I was charged an extra day because he checked me in 35 minutes later even though I dropped off the truck 60 minutes prior to when I was suppose to have it returned. I was unable to check it on my mobile device. I called customer service the day I checked it in and she made a note on my account that I was unable to check it in on-line. I have called customer service 3 times now trying to request my refund. Supervisors do not call me back or leave a message as they state they will in order to refund my account. "Preferred locations" are unreliable. And the website does not accurately report what trucks they have - if any at all.
Kristin DRegular staff not present, no note or instructions left. Backup staff arrived late and not able to process order, computer didn't work, printer didn't work. Truck cab smelled very strongly of cigarettes and butts left in ashtray. Requested pick up location was in Fish Creek but no trucks available so we had to drive 1,5 hours to this alternate location. Traffic manager Philip on telephone helpful but sadly does not make up for multiple hassles/errors with pick up.

L AProprietor was not computer knowledgeable and had issues with the reservation. Also had to pick up truck way out of the way without added mileage caused an overage of mileage even though we didn't go anywhere other then storage unit and to destination and to the drop off location.
daniel sSorry, I can't think of a thing to do differently at your Metzler Warehousing location. Dan was friendly, quick to get my equipment, answered my questions...just an excellent experience. I recommend him highly.
DANIEL LUpon arriving, I had no idea where to go to pick up the truck since there were no signs. I had to ask a neighboring business who told me to go to the guy's house to pick it up. Then the guy was quite technologically illiterate and took about a half an hour to print off the confirmation information for me to get the truck. Then the software (not the guy's fault) overcharged me for the truck and he couldn't figure out how to revert the price back to the original price so I had to call customer support to get my money back. Also, the location failed to contact me telling me that the actual truck was in a different location than my preferred location. So I initially went to my preferred location to pick up the truck and they told me to go to the New Franken location to pick up my truck, which was 15 minutes out of the way each way. Not a pleasant experience.
Reid GRented a 6 x 12 online after calling 700 Main location in Greenbay twice to make sure trailer was there has been drove over 70 miles to get trailer it was not there was then directed to new Franken Wisconsin was downgraded to a 5 by 8 overcharged for trailer and was also charged for insurance which we did not want.
Joeseph CI told him that we received the truck with 3/4 of a tank, not a full tank and it was even written on the paper work, yet I was still charged for not having a full tank.

Charlotte VDan is trying to resolve late fee I am being assessed due to miss-communication with pick up location. Trailer was not dropped off late. I personally may not use again because of this.

Lynne KMy experience at the location was amazing, my problem is with the corporate side of uhaul itself. The pick up option was different from my initial pick, and I did not recieve *one* call or email about the details of my reservation (which is what the confirmation email said was going to happen-- what's up with that?). I had to find out on the website that my pick up location was at a different site-- the night before I was going to pick it up. Thank god the guy answered the phone when I called at 9:30pm so I could confirm the pick up time with him. The site picked for me, by the way, was almost 30 minutes away from the one I was planning on. When you're trying to move, those last minute changes of plans just add extreme stress to the situation. So yeah. The location, the uhaul, and the gentlemen who checked me in were all awesome-- the rest of the process was extremely confusing and frustrating.

Heidi RThe gentleman running the business is working really hard to understand U-Haul's point of sale system (he's a new dealer) however it's obvious the local rep has not spent the necessary time with him. I had to walk him through the system which I don't mind however the next customer may not be as patient with him or have the understanding of point of sale systems to show him how to do it.
Earl MMake smaller vehicles available for one-way rentals. I wanted either a 10' or a van for my trip, but the only option given was a15' ...cost was more and the truck's mpg was about 8. This is an overall Uhaul issue. The Metzler's themselves were great to work with.
