rashamel MThe only problem was with the app. I couldn't access it to check out online in time even though I dropped my truck off on time, and so it double charged me and that wasn't fair. The location is fine but the app ripped me off.

Pete KThe truck was filthy like I've mentioned in my concern. You guys have a one sided approach when it comes to customer satisfaction. I was made to miss work because of the breakdown of your truck therefore I lost income. The first roadside assistance company did not show up so I had to wait an extra couple hours for the other one. I paid good money for the truck but the service in the end was not up to my satisfaction on top of me losing on income. Please reimburse!
Ike KI reserved furniture covers and a dolly. When I went to pick up my order these were not included with the truck. Also, I think uHaul could do a better job of letting customers know that they need to provide an employer contact, show a passport or have their lease handy ahead of renting the equipment. I personally was not expecting this and made for a more stressful renting experience.
Jacob SI ended up going to 3 different location. I went to the original location I scheduled for my time and they told me to go across town. As I get half way I get an email saying it was the opposite and ended up not getting my rental an hour late. Terrible customer service on the phone and long wait times, never got a phone call or anything. Completely unprofessional and I never even got my hand truck! Worst experience I've had.

Seth HI reserved a trailer online but the day before pickup I received a text message saying that my selected location did not have the trailer I wanted. The text also said I would get a call from a uhaul representative to find a location that had what I needed. I never received a call. I called the original location and they were u able to find my reservation but they did have the trailer and I was able to rent it from there. Not sure what happened but the online reservation was a frustrating process.
Per JDO NOT USE. Location is locked at all times behind a gate with a keypad because it is also a storage facility. I tried to return before posted office hours and no one answered the posted phone number. I returned later during posted hours that ensure "immediate help" available, but no one ever would answer the phone. Tried to contact uhaul and was on the phone for 25+ minutes to change my drop off location but got lucky that someone was coming to the facility to use the storage and was able to open the gate. Do not use this location at all costs. Uhaul ensures 24/7 drop off but that is not possible here and became the biggest waste of time and a terrible experience.
Kevin BWhen returning the trailer in Savannah, GA the women was very unhelpful and very put out about having to deal with a drop off. I will not use UHaul ever again.

Natasha MYes my rates are above average okay but I would not recommend because rep wasn't friendly. Very dry and uninviting. She still did what needed to be done and explained directions well. If she was friendly and more inviting i would recommend the location.
Nadia VThis location needs to communicate with uhaul for after hours drop off or weekend drop offs. I dropped trailer off on 12/24/22 and the uhaul personnel was no help. I could not access the drop off location because it is behind a gate. Horrible experience.

Iain DThe cab of the cargo van was filthy. There was dog hair and dirt all over the seats. It smelled like dog as well. The surfaces of the cab area were dirty and sticky. This vehicle only had 4800 miles on it. When I opened the cargo area before leaving the site, I found trash and cardboard. The local agent swept this area out, but I had to clean the cab area when I got home before I could us the truck. I should receive a discount for having thoroughly cleaned the truck before it was returned!

Matt HI came to pick up my uhaul and the store was locked and they had gone fishing. I was to pick up my truck with online and a key code which I could not get. I ended up calling uhaul and moving my reservation to another store. This place was very unprofessional
ERICA KIf it is an after hours location give the customers the code to get into the gate!!!!!!!! We sat at the gate on hold waiting to speak with someone on your "24/7 line" for 45 minutes and the same with the online chat and NO ONE ever answered. Then the next day sat on chat for an hour and a half for the uhaul person to tell me I don't know, leave the truck with the keys in it in front of and blocking the gate. I want to be refunded for my uhaul immediately.
Nicholas BThe box truck that was rented to me was damaged. There was damage to the roof of the box portion. There was standing water inside the box of the truck. I spoke with a service representative the day I picked it up, the representative was very kind and m did the best she could given the circumstances. It was scheduled as only a 24 hour rental . I had very specific plans and a very specific timeline. The representative guaranteed I complete refund for the rental. I have yet to see the refund.

Wanda BI was disappointed when I went to my original drop off location at 2201 Skidaway Rd Savannah GA 31404… upon arrival they said they had no room to accept my return and that I had to travel across town to return. It was frustrating as I had no advanced notice of this change, and it was terribly inconvenient.

Brian BMy drop off was on July 4th, so the office was closed. I tried checking out on the website, but it kept redirecting me, and never let me check out. I finally got ahold of customer service who was able to check me out, but again, a 10 minute job took about 90 minutes.

Jenna Dean, regional manager, asked for a photograph of the gas gauge as proof for a refund, which is not contractually documented in any papers I received. Contacting regulatory bureaus in your state to report this practice.
Nathaniel BMy reservation was canceled by email the day I was to pick it up. The location to pick up the trailer was changed by email. It may be that most people who plan to use your services are on the road so a phone call or text would be better. We did not think to read our email until we arrived at your facility. A contract is a contract. When I arrived to pick up my canceled trailer I had to start the application over and your computer system was down. Were it not for the young lady at the desk who found a supervisor to do the entire application by phone we would have been in an extremely bad situation. Could you imagine not having the means to haul my daughters entire belongings back home? I probably would have brought civil charges against your company.
Gregory EWasn't able to get into the gate until someone came out because it was after hours. Received a call asking if I want to extend my time Because they didn't realize the trailer was already on their lot and they charge me for another day when I turned it in Early.
Yvonne PI was not given access to the building until I got there and I had to call the office and they did not know how to get the gate open for me. They did not have the truck I had a reservation for, which I had made three weeks in advance. They tried to send me to a different location but there wasn't one in the area. Then they checked in a different, bigger truck, which we ended up taking. This truck had a stripped and flat tire which we had to pull over within the first twenty minutes of our route to take care of. Then the dispatcher took two and a half hours to get to us. Horrible experience.
Madeline DI was traveling from Florida to north Carolina reserved a rental to tow my grandson truck . Went to first u haul where reservation was made all tow dollys damage lady referred us up the road to second place they did not even rent tow follies . Tgen they sent us to a uhaul place 205 his was broken and fella was rude. Finally called 800 number after 5 hours in heat and 4 prior husks with no results and a nice gentlemen found us mid grade rentals 50 min away and he made sure they could help us . And for the first time a uhaul dealer was compassionate and had what I needed and was super kind and helpful we finally got on road 5 hours later so thank you mid grade and very sad the prior 4 uhaul places did not have a clue and should not list they have something and a customer can't get it . Shame on them and great job mid grade and the girls.

Douglas DIn the cab I would warn future customers not to use the phone charger because it fried my phones. All three of them. Had to buy a new phone.
Dave SI had spoken to employee over the phone about dropping off truck. I had to get approval code from U-Haul which was fine. When I arrived shortly after phone call there was a car there, door to office was locked, nobody answered phone and I searched the grounds looking for help and never found anyone. I put the rented items inside the cab and locked it. The gas tank was fully filled and back was clean and swept. I returned the truck a day early and it never showed being checked in the following day. I called the main U-Haul # and they had to call over there and find out what was going on. The truck finally showed it was returned almost 24 hours later. This experience was really unnerving considering what an expensive piece of equipment a truck is!!!
Brian CHave the equipment available your website says is available. Left high and dry day before at 8800 Abercorn. Drove 6 hours to pick up truck/car carrier, not there. Had to wait until next day to pick up at this location. Dispute on gas left:returned. It was on empty when I got it, thahts way I returned it. Now you want to cgarfe me $101 dollars, total rip off. You should not require customers to take pictures, that should be done by business and stressed how important. They never said anything.
DAVID OI sent a long email about this but long story short, horrible experience. They are listed as a self service location (false advertising) and when I showed up to pick up the truck at 10am, was told I had to come back at noon when they opened. It then took an hour to get the truck, so I was 3 hours behind schedule. i was also told if i returned it after their closing hours (4pm), I would be charged extra. I arrived at 3:45 PM to return it and was still charged the money. They also could not adjust my hours and said any complaints would have to be sent through UHaul. I am hoping to be refunded this inconvenience.
Cal AThe Midgard service manager there gave me the impression that the additional charge of $76 (additional gas & excessive mileage) was a credit !! I will be notifying U-HAUL customer service about this additional credit card charge of $76 that I was charged at the drop off site.
