The truck was not cleaned upon pick up. When we returned it there was no drop box at all. Now we have to drive all the way back in the morning to drop the keys off. And the 24 hr help didn't answer.Angel T.

Girl behind the counter knew I was do in with that size truck said I was early. Told her the help we got in the morning of the second day were well above what I experienced in the past. They helped me empty the truck and I just wanted to return it while I had my energy. She ran outside checked the vehicle and mileage and we were all good and on our way back to our new homeStuart C.
On Saturday , April 9, I visit the gas station to rent a U-Haul, I spoke with an associate named Gayle. Gayle was very professional. Gayle was experiencing technical difficulties with the UHaul website she remained calm and very friendly to customers. I appreciate the extraordinary customer service she provided to all of the customers in the store. Gayle did a great job. Thanks, Mikemike L.

The back of the truck was full of old popcorn and un popped kernels. I had to sweep it out before loading it. The truck didnt have gas in it had to put gas in it before using. Then was told since i didnt use it the full 24 hours i would be refunded for only using it for 8 hours i believe i ended up charged another 77 for what returning the truck clean and with gas. I will not be using U-haul again. And I will be contacting the better business bereau to put forth a formal complaint along with 8 others who have had the same or similar issue.Joshua V.
Nobody's there to inspect the truck or verify the gas meter. They just hand you the keys. Later you get a contract by email with estimated fees and a gas reading showing more gas in the contract then there was in the truck & you have to pay what it says on the contract not the truck. They have a sticker in the truck saying you're responsible for the gas on the contract not in the tank. Very shady practice.Pablo L.

Rear view mirrors would not move to adjust for proper usage. Very dangerous!! Old truck with a rough ride. I had to manually take it out of tow mode each time I started it. I picked up the truck with 1/8 of a tank of gas in it. I brought back the truck with more gas in it than I picked it up. They charged me for 37,50 $ for 10 gallons of gas for 13,4 miles. That's 1,34 mpg! That's 3,75 $ a gallon! Plus 30 $for fill up fee! Y'all got me last time I used haul charging me for tolls I had already paid for!! It will not happen again! I will never be a uhaul customer again! I will tell everyone I can how uhaul has dangerous trucks and treats their customers very badlyNancy T.

You receive no receipt and you sign nothing at this location. I took pictures of the milage and gas guage when I left. I refueled before returning the truck. When I dropped off the truck I took the pictures again, as they give no receipt. When I received my creditcard statement, I saw that I was charged 20 $extra for gas. I was ripped off at this location before and let it slide, this time I called uhaul, forwarded them my pictures an immediate receive a refund.CRAIG J.

This location (8 N DuPont, Milford) was fantastic! I had to switch to them last minute as my original pick-up location (601 Marshall St, Milford, DE) failed to put the key in the lockbox. This caused an hour+ delay in acquiring a truck, but the people I talked to at 1-800-Go-UHaul and via uhaul.com's live chat did a great job of transferring my reservation over to the 8 N DuPont location and the person at 8 N DuPont (Jim) who took care of it when I got there was very helpful and professional. Great service from UHaul corporate and from 8 DuPont following 601 Marshall's mistake!Marjorie R.
The app told me to put the keys in a lockbox but I was told the location no longer has a lock box so I gave it to the employee inside the store who to D me there was no lockboxGeorge B.

The rep was very knowledgeable and friendly. Will use them again. Because of the circumstances, you don't really get a chance to read the contract thoroughly before signing so probably won't notice they charge you extra 14 $for insurance and 1 $for "environmental fee" but the value and ease of use is wonderful. Won't hesitate to use same location again.Janette K.

would not take the truck in told me to bring it back tomorrow. would not take the trailer. i had to do an online check in and do it all myself. 2 girls i guess was afraid to drive a large truck. That was where i was asked to drop off the truck to save 50 $but I'll never do that again.Dean B.

We returned the truck 3 hours after it was due, and we were charged 40 $for this. I don't remember choosing a time to return it, but if I did, it would've been more helpful to make that time more obvious on the receipt as at a glance I did not see it. Further, we left the truck with double the gas than it had when we picked it up, so I think it's unfair to have charged us the full 40 $/day late charge for returning it a little late. I believe this is unreasonable of your company and will go elsewhere in the future.Jennifer K.

I never signed any contract or was given a copy of any paperwork. Other locations I have rented from I was given a copy of the contract and signed before renting the truck and then signed again when releasing the truck. I'm not sure why this location if different.Devon C.
I rented a truck and trailer. First of all I had to return them to two separate locations. This was quite inconvenient. Also when I rented it I was charged a 60 $deposit and was told it would be refunded to me when I returned the trailer. I really didn't have the money to spare but since it was suppose to be refunded to me I went ahead and did it. The drop off location for the trailer was closed so I called the 800 number to let them know it was dropped off. When I explained to the representative about the deposit, she informed me the prior information I was given was incorrect. She stated I should have only been charged a flat fee for one way usage and no deposit should have been collected. She also said I could not get my 60 $back. If I should not have been charged the deposit then Uhaul owes me 60 $.Rebecca D.
The worst customer service ever !!!! Told us we couldn't have the small truck it was promised to another customer so we had to take a much larger truck we did not need, the small truck was never used it was still setting there when we got back. We asked if we could drop it off at a UHAUL need us and they said yes after we tried to return the truck to a location close to our home the wanted 198,00 $ "what" they made us return the truck back to the pick up station not a drop off near us. ALll this for fifteen miles to pick up furniture which now took three hours and extra miles( only because of driving it back to the pick up UHAUL) Took cash for the usage of gas no receipt just put it in the register. I have used UHAUL my whole life and "never" a had a problem. This experience was by far the absolute worst.Mike B.

Smoother check in's b4 8 AM. Wasn't horrible. Just had to wait for phone verification? and worked in between customers. Everybody very friendly. I must say it was pretty quick once verified. I booked on line. I arrived and there was no one there to rent the truck. I was expected to rent the truck over a workers personal cellphone. It was bizarre. I was not offered insurance, never saw the Uhaul representative, never signed an agreement. They overcharged my credit card. Worst UHaul rental ever!! Would not recommend this location at all. After 45 minutes of frustration I finally was given the keys to the truck. I was very glad my return was at a different location. Uhaul needs to reconsider such a poor representation by an unprepared dealer. Never again will I consider this location, Milford Shell StationLynda C.
