Help connect the equipment and have someone available to no what their job is when returning equipment. That was the worst Customer Service I have ever had with U-Haul..
Johhnie AThe check in procedure at this location was completed very quickly but the staff there did not inform the U-Haul company that I had returned the truck that I had rented. That caused me to get a text that advised me that they didn't have a record of me returning the truck. It took about 2 days for me to get a confirmation that the truck had been returned.
Dan GGet someone from U-Haul to work at the Mini Mart during your busy season to process the renting and the return of the Trucks while thoroughly training the people at the Mini Mart the process of renting and receiving the truck when it is returned and what everything they has to do when renting and processing the return of the trucks. This experience this weekend disappointed me because I have always felt like U-Haul had very high standards but not anymore.

Hope Wthis was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with UHAUL, my reservation was moved from one location to another (notified by email I didn't see) then when I went to pick it up at the 9:00 reservation time, the manager with the keys wasn't there and didn't come in until 12:00. by this time i had gotten a reservation cancelation notice, so when I got to the store to pick it up he had to renew the order which had a furniture dolly on it. We never discussed a dolly, I didn't receive a dolly but I was charged $82 for a dolly! In addition to that, the truck was STUCK IN THE MUD and the manager wouldn't' pay for a wrecker to get it out. I had to have my brother come pull it out. The manager only offered to cancel my reservation! It was an AWFUL EXPERIENCE!

jeffrey mThis was a run down Mini Mart/Gas Station with an attendant who knew nothing about the U Haul rental effort. I was expected to know costs and particulars that I "discovered" upon final receipt. My actual costs were in fact double. Using the internet is a great tool, but if the representatives of your service cannot provide information and answer questions you have NO representation at all. I have used U Haul exclusively for many moves over many decades, and this was the worst experience I have ever encountered. The whole first hour of my rental time was used trying to get the e paperwork done at the pick up spot. I will be thinking very seriously about ever using U Haul again if this is the best you can do.
Don DLiterally a gas station. Store owner took my keys at 1pm and said nothing else was needed. By 11pm, nothing was checked in. I returned to store just before midnight and checked it in myself.

grynda WLocation felt very unsafe. Wife refused to get out of the car. Looked as if this location was full of homeless and drug user. I choose mobile pick up did not offer this. I had to walk in to the store and was approached twice by people asking for money.
Andy FProperly train employees to handle reservations for rentals. Provide a drop box for keys. Have to all the equipment that is reserved for per the rental reservations.
JOSEPH BI had an issue at this Mini Mart (drop off location). Honestly, this will likely be the last time I ever rent from uHaul again after the treatment I got from your organization yesterday. Truly a horrible example of customer service. When I picked up this vehicle, I had an utility dolly and a furniture dolly included with the pick up. Honestly, I didn't even know I had signed up for the furniture dolly, but you all have made your reservation pages so tricky to navigate that I was just happy to get the reservation done at the time. Anyhow, I asked the attendant in Nashville to remove the furniture dolly and I left it at The East Nashville Self Storage location. Seems like a simple enough switch right? Wrong... When I arrived at the Mini Mart, the attendant was so busy that he asked me to park the car and drop the keys with him assuring me that he would check me in and send me a confirmation email with a final receipt. 20 minutes later the mini mart attendant called asking where the dolly 2nd Dolly was located. I explained the situation and he said "well, that sucks for us because now we have to call uHaul tomorrow." Wow. Well, I asked him what he would like me to do as I didn't pick the dolly up in the first place. He didn't have an answer. We hung up the phone and I never received the confirmation letting me know the vehicle was back in uHauls hands. I spend 3+ the following day trying to find one responsible person in the uHaul organization to remedy this situation. Everyone passed the buck (6 employees in total) and I actually was physically hung up on at one point. Finally, I got a 'district manager' at the Huntsville location who tried to explain to me that the Mini Mart was closed for the night. This was at 4PM. Knowing that this was a gas station, and knowing that I had dropped the truck off at 7PM the following day, I disagreed but the manager passed to buck (yet again) and I found myself explaining my situation to the 6th person I had talked to that day. At that point, I physically had to drive to the Mini Mart (they would not answer their phone) after wasting hours of my day and straightened it out with the (same attendant) at the Mini Mart. He explained that this was my fault for signing a contract with a dolly included that I didn't have. Anyhow, I managed to get a receipt (SAY HALLELUJAH)!!! I finally got the issue resolved after taking the matter in my own hands. My guess is, if I hadn't had driven to the mini mart myself, I would have been charged $200 -$300 for another day since I had no record the vehicle was returned. It is clear that your organization is set up to frustrate consumers with an issue. Every person I talked to just put me in a long waiting line to speak to someone else. It truly was the worst customer experience I've had in recent memory, and you will not be receiving another cent from me moving forward. I felt like I gave you hard earned money and I had to WORK FOR YOU to get this situation resolved. Is there anyone in your organization that is trained to handle this simple mix up? After my experience yesterday, my guess is no.

When I arrived to pick up the truck with all my information and reservation number email, i was told there was no reservation and he would have to resubmit the reservation. When I returned the truck I discovered he had changed the milage from 0,79 to 0,99 cents per mile. At the very least I should have been informed. As it is I was defrauded
Dale HBetter service, they made us wait forever , the equipment was terrible , the enlightenment was off, the guy at the store we got it from was just handing out keys , no dollys in truck, the brakes was going out, old items was left in truck and it was nasty, I wouldn't recommend this place to any blind man even if he offered me a million dollars . Even Ray Charles could see these folks do bad business and care nothing about they Customers.

Barbara H1. No one at the location knew anything about renting the truck or processing the order. 2. The person that knew how to process the order never showed up to process the order, even after they where contacted multiple times. 3. The truck was dirty and the box wasn't cleaned from the last rental. 4. I was charged for Safe Move even though I declined it on my online checkin. 5. It took over an hour to process my order, which made me late for meeting my load team. 6. I order a furniture dolly, but they didn't have any moving related equipment or materials. I recently relocated from another state and used UHaul trailers and equipment to move, but this move to our new house was terrible. The location is a Mini Mart gas station and convenience store and not a UHaul service center. I will say that the 800 services and online experience have been good and pleasant. I have to commend the lady at the location who did get my order processed. She was very nice and made every effort to complete my order. She had to be talked through the process over the phone while the guy at the cash register and I assisted her with the computer.

WILLIAM DI had made reservation the night before, when I ARRIVED at this location there was only one attended at this location. he could not speak english at all. and I had to wait until he called someone at home. to help me...I waited over a hour just standing there for the other man to call me back...POOR POR SERVICE...never again...Harold Wales

Ronald CThis was the "second" location I had to go to for a rental truck. The first place I was told to go to and get a truck at 7am was NOT set up for us to get the truck. We were told they would open at 10:00am which was unacceptable. They found us a second truck, but only a 20 footer. We decided to take the 20 footer (better than nothing). We get to the second location and they cannot find the keys to the truck. It took almost an hour before all of a sudden they "find" the keys. Then when I'm doing the check-in process using the app; the app shows 1/2 tank, but in actuality it around 1/4 tank, so I take a picture and upload it to the app. Then then app says the mileage is 82200, but in actuality it's 82400. So when I take a picture and try to load it to the app, the app says I cannot change the mileage and that a have to contact customer service. So when I call U-haul customer service, a recording says the wait is "52 minutes "…seriously?!?! So it's now 9:20am before I can actually talk to someone. They tell me they'll make notes in my "file" so I don't have an issue when I turn in the truck. What a nightmare…. Then later that night around 8:00am, after we get the truck loaded, we're driving across the Wheeler Dam bridge and a tire blows out and the truck veers hard right slamming into the curb and then into the opposite lane (which was empty). When I get to the other side of the bridge, I pull over and try calling for U-haul roadside assistance. The recording tells me the wait time is again "52 minutes." What?!?! Luckily I saw where I could "text" roadside assistance and luckily for me I get "Sandra." I explain to Sandra that I trying requesting roadside assistance via the app, but when it tried to get my gps location, the app kept showing "downloading " and wasn't working. Sandra then actually filled out the request for me and then called me to get some information. After Sandra completed the request I received a text telling me that it would be 90 minutes for some arrived to fix the flat tire. So around 10:30pm they arrive to change the tire and discover that the valve stem on the inside passenger rear tire was not tighten causing the tire to go flat; which caused the truck to veer uncontrollably into the concrete curb. Needless to say, so far the rental has been nothing but a nightmare…but oh well, I'm sure nothing will come of it.
Michael wComplete experience was a DISASTER! Moved my pick up location nearly 50 miles 24hrs before requested. Moved it to an in person after I had chosen touch free mobile. Wait d over an hour for the mgr to show up to give me my keys. U-Haul customer service line was a joke! One lady hung up on me. Another lady was RUDE and neither helped. We missed our move out schedule by more than a day because of U-Haul. I need a REFUND….. NEVER will I use U-Haul again after this terrible experience.
JESSE WNot sure who to blame but was charged significantly more than reservation said. Was left with the option to pay or not be able to make the move. Not really a choice. The counter person was nice enough but the charge left a bad taste. In regards to equipment. Truck had 140 000 miles on it and drove like it needed extensive work. Just horrible to drive. It was 20 ft. Rented a 26 ft, newer, truck 4 weeks ago which drove way better on same route. Entire body sore from having to control the drift/shaking. As a side item windshield should not be held down with tape.
Holger PLocation was changed from original pickup location... the Utility dolly was not on truck so i ha d to drive to a cute 20 miles away TWO times. No communication between the employees.. very frustrating .. i will not be using Uhaul again!!
Sean FI never received a call or txt of where my pickup location would be, so I had to look on my registration confirmation to figure out where that would be. The address listed for my pickup location in the UHAUL system is incorrect. After about an hour of trying to get in touch with UHAUL, I gave up and fortunately was able to get in touch with someone at that pickup location to make sure everything was good. When I was looking over the UHAUL truck, I noticed the front windshield was busted and there was not a alternate truck to get. I wasn't happy about that, but there wasn't another option.

Larry BHelp new customers out to explain about one way is beterr cost wise and on milage .also nedd to explain about ins $112 for what?exspeically if good driver. way to much money to drive 240 miles @.79 a mile have to drive truck back from same location .no considerration having to rent a couple more days no family to help and want you to pay another $165 plus taxes. I just do not see me or father renting from u haul again
eddie BMy location was changed twice up to the day of. I also did not receive some of the dollies I reserved a month in advance. The location was very sketchy as well. I would not recommend using this location for multiple reasons.

MOHAMMAD KThe reservations was all missed up having me pickup truck in Huntsville, -Al which was over 20 miles away but the lady got on the phone and was able to work out where we was able to get a truck there it was not the size truck we needed and did not have the pads I paid for but we was able to make it work. I had to go from a 15 ft truck to a 10ft truck and got only $4 credit. That sounds like credit not enough but we had to take it or got to Huntsville to get truck. UHAUL takes advantage of your customers with the situation you put them in.
Jose LOn car hauler, it needs a winch attached for non running vehicles. Other than that it is very good trailer
donald pThe first person has no idea what she was doing. Thankfully someone showed up who knew how to do paperwork. Never walked out the door to inspect the trailer or make sure I parked it in the correct area. Basically not helpful at all.
Mickey GThe gas tank and mileage had to be adjusted. It was off by at least 4 gallons. The pick up location was changed which was very inconvenient on the busy day before moving. Everything else was great It drove well and was clean. I was happy with the van.

Gary GI am Very upset with my experience. When I went to pick up my truck, car hauler, and accessories the man at the Marathon you sent me to was not nice, Mo is his name. He took 2 hours to get me my truck and car hauler and did not have the dollies or blankets at all and had to send me to another location 1/2 a mile away. When I got there, they did not have all the blankets, appliance dolly and only 1 utility dolly. I received 1 utility dolly and 1 furniture dolly. This set us back approximately 3 hours in our time which made us a day late in leaving. Then upon leaving Rogersville, we took US 72 to Athens and turned north on I65. We didn't get to the next exit before the tire on the car hauler blew out. I called the 800 number and the representative told me it would be 5 to 30 minutes. I then received a text it would be 90 minutes. It actually took 2 hours! I then got to my destination and was able to turn the car hauler in on the original date and was told because I had extended it, just in case I needed the extra time, that I would have to pay the additional days because it was on the same contract as the truck. This is not good business!!!! I have very bad cell service where I am staying and would appreciate that you contact me back regarding this matter as I believe I am being overcharged on everything. If we cannot resolve this matter in a timely fashion I will have no alternative then to contact legal advice. Beth Patton bethnmike1990@aol.com
Beth PStore clerk refused to give me my cash deposit. Called Uhaul and had a rep speak to store owner, he still wouldn't give me my deposit back saying he " doesn't see" it in his computer. This store has repeated issues with customers and is known for ripping people off. Uhaul as a company had been perfect but the 3rd party was the most crooked and scamming people I've ever met. I will NEVER return to that location and will be telling everyone I know to not rent from that store. I will also be reporting the store clerk and giving him every bad review I can. He is a CROOK and a THIEF!!

darrell TIt took 45 minutes to get checked out with the truck. The employees were very nice but was the first time handling a truck rental, so it took a long time and multiple phone calls to the store owner to get the transaction processed.

Kenya DThe truck was dirty in the cab with drink bottles, pistachio shells, and wrappers in the floor. The back was dirty and full of leaves. I ordered furniture pads but did not get them yet paid for them and no refund. The truck was not driveable due to bad alignment but I was still charged $139 when I brought it back. Still charged for pads I was not given. I had to call the 800 number because the person working there couldn't figure out the software. If I could rate this as less than zero I would. This experience was beyond horrible. I have a little no distance move that had to be rearranged. Such poor customer service.
Carrie SThe U-Haul was dirty inside and the business had a yard sale going on in the front door I also had to hook up and install the chains at the place I picked it up at no one to help me pick up the trailer and place it on the hitch.
