There was no key in the lock box(the box was locked and all, but was empty) when I got there.. I had to go in and wait in line to talk to the employee to complain about this. He had intentionally not kept the key there. The as wer I got was “I have to verudy that it's you”. If that is the case, why did I have to send a jio to if me in the app? The reason I opted 24/7 ride share was to avoid human contact and get things moved faster. This delay caused me to miss my appointment and delay the whole moving process by 3 hours and ended up me to travel another 20 km increasing the amount I had to pay you. Also, the tire pressure warning was on all the time. The response from the same employee was to just ignore it..

I think for first time drivers it would help to know where some functions of the truck are. For example, it would've helped to have someone walk through some of the basic truck functions such as releasing parking break, controlling lights etc. It would allow for more ease of mind and safer/better use of the vehicle/truck. Also it would help to vocalize or notify the customer that after hours to return the vehicle/truck that we are required to use uhaul.com/share. I did not know this until after I dropped the truck off and went home. It would help to know this for first time customers so that they can correctly return the truck according to UHaul standards. Aside from these two things I had a great experience. These did not change my mind about the overall UHaul service which I liked.

Hi there, I have rented vehicles from this location many time, I have always had great customer service, except for this time. I checked in online, so I was expecting to have my keys in hand by at least 9:10AM, this was not the case. I arrived at the Mavis location at 8:55 AM and stood by the door for 30 minutes, while the Uhaul employee took his time to clear the snow off of some of the rental vehicles. Once he made his way to the front door, which was still locked, I asked him when he was planning on opening the door. He was on the phone and asked me if I had made a reservation online, I said "yes and I am already checked in". He then proceeded to open the door and allowed another customer whom he said, was there before me, which they weren't, because I saw them pulling into the parking lot while I was waiting at the front door. After he attended to that customer, he asked me to come in and proceeded to make a phone call, the person on the line seemed like they were helping him check me in. I finally got the keys to the van at 9:50AM almost an hour after my reserved pick up time. I asked him what the hold up was and he said, "the computers are slow this morning". That was a load of crap, I have rented vehicles from this location many time and it usually takes 10 minutes for me to be on my way. I don't think this guy had a clue about what he was doing. Furthermore, I returned the van the same day at around 11:30AM. He was sitting at his desk and asked me to just put the keys in the drop box, not sure why he wanted them in the drop box when he is just sitting at his desk, but I put them in there and I left. You might want to have a chat with this guys because I wasn't the only customer he inconvenienced that day, there were many more customers behind me in line. I followed everything online to get my keys at 9am and be on my way, this incompetent employee made my experience a horrible one. Thank you, Gabe

Scammers, I was charged 67 dollars for gas, according to uhaul I delivered the vehicle with 1/4 of gas and I returned it with 1/2. When I did the check in I tried to use my gift certificate and the representative refused telling me that I have to call to do that even though the certificate says applicable at any uhaul location. They took advtange of me returning the uhaul at night and using the drop box key and was charged a ridiculous fee for gas which didnt correspond with the amount I left. Total scammers in that location. Will never use U haul again.

I think customers should be directed to where the lockbox is located. The instructions are not specific enough for this aspect of the pickup. and in-app upgrades should be accessible for unexpected changes. Also when picking up, a general idea should be given as to where to find the truck. e.g. Look on the northwest side of the building to find the truck. This should be done instead of having to look at the truck identification numbers.

- the person in-charge was impolite and condescending to many customers. - equipment was not cleaned at all. Seats, dashboard, steering wheel were all dirty. Especially at this time of pandemic, these vehicles should have been cleaned after each use.

What I didn't like is that i had to scan my driver's license and U-Haul is going to keep it. Even banks are not allowed to take copy/scan any personal identification document. I don't like that my personal information is stored in your system.

I had to pay $90 for “cleaning” charges. The truck was delivered as I received it, but even if I did have something that I missed, $90 cleaning charge would make me never rent another Uhaul ever again!

Booked 26' footer with a fridge cart and 2 dozen pads in Orangeville. Got a call the evening before saying the closest truck is in Mississauga but they have no pads and no fridge cart. Why even bother with uhaul

The uhaul was dirty in the truck when we got it, had to use outbound blankets to keep my furniture clean and not damaged. I look at the bill now and I get charged $35 for cleaning when I complained about how dirty it was ? Total scam.

No improvement ! This has been my second time at this location, and the service is above and beyond. The girl that works on Saturday, kind , funny , efficient. Today Sunday was with a young man , polite , efficient , it didn't matter the line up first thing , he assured all customers that he will do his very best to get everyone their vehicles.

I was told 19$ Charge after discount but when I received the bill they charged me 29$. I filled up the tank with the amount I received but again they charged 24$for the fuel. Now no one is picking up the call. I will never recommend this location to anyone. The lady was rude Over the reception. U- haul is a very recognised company in Canada. Such behaviour is unacceptable. You should properly teach your staff and atleast charge your customers wisely.

I received the truck on 1/4 gas mark and returned lit more the 1/4 but still, these people charged me $29 as fuel charges. Very disappointing...! ripper. am calling them and no answer will call them again tomorrow.

The designated area to drop off the uhaul should be marked clearer since the parking lot is shared with a busy flea market. It was difficult to find parking when dropping off the truck and was unable to find anyone to help with all the traffic.

The whole mobile experience was terrible, like a treasure hunt in the rain & cold, taking pics of everything, trying to find the truck and signing in, I wouldn't want to rent, some jobs are best left to humans, uhaul has lost me with their app experience.

I did the pre check in line you recommend to save time but when all the people ahead of me didnt bother to do it I still had to wait in line for an hour, only one person working so I dont blame her, she did her best and was very helpful. The only thing pre check out did was make it quicker for the person behind. Overall it was a good experience, the woman was very kind and and helpful.

Not prepared or organized. Truck and trailer were at separate ends of the large parking lot and I had to figure out on my own how to connect the trailer, nvm back in and align the hitch. The owner left the premises to run some errand before we could inspect the truck together. The actual gas in the tank was only at 1/4, the paperwork said 7/16.

Because of covid 19, this location was not open. We had to do every thing on-line. We were about an hour late and our our reservation expired. it was cumbersome to get hold of a live customer service representative. it was over an hour wait and very frustrating and not knowing when we would be able to connect with a live person. Before cancelling our reservation we should have been contacted by phone and email to ensure that we were coming or not. Very poor service. Also we were not sure if the truck had been sanitized after the last return. The trucks should be sanitized after each return and a note to that effect should be displayed inside the truck with the time and date and initial of the person. This would ensure that the U haul company is keeping the renters health in mind during the pandemic times.

Give better customer service and If bookings are done well in advance then they should Honour it because we as customers have made arrangements accordingly. Like we had booked one way truck a week ahead but on the day because your client has not delivered the truck thats not our problem. She was asking us to either cancel or wait till evening when the truck is available. In the end she offered us two way truck which was to be delivered back to their location and was told NO EXTRA Cost but we are charged for extra mileage which is strange. Please improve the service.

With a reservation and online check in, I had to wait an hour to retrieve my rental. The coworker was trying her best but she was alone and dealing with a large queue and operational inefficiency (running the desk and spot checking mileage by herself). I was also not informed of the full details of the after hours return. I was told to just drop the keys in the box and not about completing the online portion of the return. I had to return to the drop off site to take all pictures and estimate mileage as I already dropped of the keys. I have also disputed the charges When dropping off as I was told I was getting a free upgrade but was charged for the upgraded cost. I have not received any contact and it has been almost 4 days. Overall I am not satisfied with my experience, moving is stressful enough
