The location itself is good. The 100 % remote APP though took forever to get the truck checked out. It's a very thorough app, but you have to dedicate 30 minutes to get through it all, especially if you hadn't downloaded it before you got there. It took me that long to get the truck and about 15 minutes to check it in afterwards. This is because they also had to call two contacts to make sure I was a legit person. Plus I had to take multiple pictures and it was like a scavenger hunt trying to find the right truck and the right key to unlock it. This ended up making me late to my appointment to pick up items in the truck and I ended up having to rent the truck an extra day to make up for it - because I hadn't factored in the extra check in time for a completely remote location. So it cost me. I won't be doing a complete remote check in ever again!!!!!

Horrible cell service at that location for doing a mobile pick up.. free WiFi was spotty. Was given keys to the WRONG TRUCK! Then was given the run around by some customer service agents and put on infinite hold, when we were just trying to do the right thing with the information we had. I was told we would get a call from management regarding the escalated situation and it is three days later and I have still not received that call.

Wasted 45 minutes because 1. The locks are super hard to open and 2. Once I got it open there was no key. Had to call around and wait for somebody do try box number 2…oops also no key. Luckily guess number 3 was correct.

The truck was on the lot but could not get into the lock box to get the key. Once I was able to get the site manager on the phone, she was not very helpful in helping me get into the lock box. Only after speaking to a U-haul customer service representative, they were finally able to get me in a truck (not the one I requested).

If you're a business you should focus on customer care. We have dropped off two uhauls there and no one was available. Just a bad feeling of being accused of not dropping off a uhaul two days later.

Old and run down. Nobody there to receive the trailer. It is a car wash. Had to call the next day and they said they saw it and would call another u-haul place to pick it up since they don't deal in car haulers.

The attendant-free pickup was the worst experience I've ever had, including the U-Haul app. Why must I do the driver's license validation at the rental location as part of the truck pick-up? Why not beforehand? I sat at the facility for 10 minutes waiting for the validation process and was prompted to do it again due to a single corner missing on my driver's license photo. I called your helpline three times. when attempting to get my lockbox code, the lockbox code field was not displayed, it was empty. I concluded that I had to finish the pre-trip of the truck before getting the code. What I discovered was, the previous renter misstated the fuel level, thus I was stuck adding additional fuel because, without the key, I could not see the fuel or mileage level. When I returned the truck I could not dispute the fuel level because the button to continue would not light up. I tried to reach out to an agent but the hold time was 15 minutes. The trucks are parked in the grass and the only way out was to drive forward and off the curb. LOL Knowing what I know now, I would not have accepted any of the pictures taken by the previous renter. Contact me, I can help you design a better software than the current experience. In summary, the process will require at least 20 minutes and a good data connection to get the U-Haul app to work. if there are any issues be prepared to wait at least 5 minutes for help, and the driver validation process take a minimum of 5 minutes on that alone. and you may need to redo any part of the validation before moving on. NO, the driver validation can not be completed in advance.

IMHO, there is nothing that can be done about it, but parking for the truck, at this location, was not well-defined. Also, the key-return box was not where I expected it to be (which would be next to the key lockers, by the front door), but it was on the other side of the car wash building -- had to hunt around for it. Apart from that, the location was okay.

Lock was old and we could not access the key. We had to call uhaul and figure out how we could get another truck. She gave us extra miles for the incident don't understand why when they gave us 25 extra miles. Something isn't right. Still waiting for a call fromna supervisor.

Area where the 26' trucks are parked is not in an area that is easy to get out. Grassy area with no exit ramp. Needed to go over a curb. On the return the key drop off area is not in an area that makes any sense. If your area to pick up the truck key is next to the U-Haul sign why would the key slot box be in front of the Montgomery Car Wash?

It took us a full hour to pick up the truck. There is no cell coverage there. The fuel was at 1/8 tank but the app said 1/4 and the odometer was off by 100 miles too. I tried to make a correction, add a photo and a comment, but you couldn't continue with the process with one of those three. I had to back up and just accept the wrong information in order to pick up the truck. I called the phone number and the lady didn't know how to check any of it and said I'd have the opportunity to add comments when I dropped off the truck, but if I added comments, I couldn't finish the process! What?! I had to allow you to bill my card for the wrong amount JUST TO DROP OFF THE TRUCK. Never again.

It was an unmanned site. Behind a car wash. It was good for the purpose of turning in the equipment, but not very presentable.

My rental wasn't located where described. I had to walk around the property and look at all the U-Haul rentals to find mine. It also didn't include a dolly.

The place for pick up and drop off had zero service so I couldn't use my phone to get the information I needed to unlock the lock go get the vehicle. When I finally got service it was almost an hour after my original pick up time that I got the truck.

Terrible remote check-in, we got cut off twice while trying to get help by phone. The only reason we were able to pickup the uhaul truck or return it was help from other renters who had already been thru the horrible process w customer service by phone.

Was charged an extra day even after being contacted by email asking when I returned it days later. You do all the work yourself via mobile phone, so how do you get the return date wrong when you have to report it returned online? Makes no sense how this error could occur. Overall never saw a single face, I did all the work via phone, and was charged with a lot of hidden fees at the end. F.

The truck has over 100k miles and has many issues, malfunctioning driver seat belt retractor, cargo lights don’t work, ramp is very difficult to manipulate, vehicle idles very roughly, mirrors do f adjust.

The automated process was very clunky. It required me to allow location services on my cell which never connected properly. I drove a total of 10,3 miles yet was charged over $12 for 3 gallons of gas . Unless Uhaul is willing to say their vehicles only get 3,3 mpg, I felt like this was an unnecessary extra squeeze.

Better more specific instructions for opening the lock on the truck. Would like to be more informed about gas surcharge. Will not use anytime soon. I ended up paying twice as much as I expected.

There was no clear place to park. And after doing the self check-in online I think I was charged for staff check in. But I don't know because I never got an itemized invoice/receipt. Not thrilled

The location is pretty crappy and luckily it is a good small town otherwise you would feel unsafe picking up a truck at night. It takes quite a while to go through the pickup and dropoff process so this should always be done by 2 people. Trucks also parked in tall grass that is like a ditch, so you need a gutsy experienced driver to get it out. I would not want to do this in the rain.

The 24/7 checkin process is cumbersome. Why is their a need to take photos of the driver's license if it has already been uploaded to the site? Also, there was a mixup on the rental. The truck I was assigned was given to someone else. After 45 minutes, with the help of Liberty on the phone, I was finally able to get a rental. The check-out process worked well.

It was over an hour from when I arrived until I was able to get the key and drive the truck. The online process froze up and glitched out many times and almost impossible to take clear enough photos to be qualified to drive. Some agents are better than others, Randi was slow to help and never reaaly did, just kept making me take pics over n over again ...then timed out. Eventually connected w an agent that helped me get on the road .

This location is a little bizarre in the fact that there's not really anywhere to park. I had to park at brookshire brothers and walk over to get the U-Haul. Other than that it was a very smooth experience and I appreciate the ease of the process.

The owners happened to be at the location and this was great, as the self pick up was not overly intuitive, they were a great help...they had to use their tools to release the lock for self pick up. Trucks front end seemed a bit unstable, but otherwise truck seemed to be in decent shape.

There was no dolly or blankets on the truck. The phone number and online reservations and your ass are horrible. I could not check out via mobile, which is what I needed. I spent an hour waiting to talk to somebody and then the call dropped because I was on the phone for too long. If the manager didn't show up and call her manager, I don't know what would've happened. Saying it was an extreme setback and disappointment for a three hour delay that pushes everything and this organizes everyone's schedule, is an understatement. The Beaumont location got a good review, because I wanted to talk to a real person that was there and turn the truck in. I wasn't gonna try your app or phone number again. I would rather pay hundreds, if not thousands of more dollars to use someone else to move instead of dealing with this again. Hopefully, You care about Customer Service or want more information. Didn't have extras equipment I ordered. Changed location of pick up change pick up time to 3 hours later with notice and uhual app Didn't work for checking or check out. If I wanted to work for uhual would have gotta job. Uhual should dealer should check you in and out.

Remote Renting was new to me. I wasn't real sure of the process. I had trouble opening the lock until a representative happened to show up and explain how to open it. I wasn't sure how much gas I needed to replace, so I overfilled to be sure. The return process did not work properly at all, and required many emails to ensure it had been done right. It was probably me as much as it was my phone not allowing me to show my location upon return, but the Rent and Return process left a bit to be desired. And that truck literally GUZZLES GAS. What is U-Haul doing to be more eco-friendly in the 21st Century? Merci.

The website kept timing out and it took me an extra 30 minutes to get my truck and sign in. The website NEEDS to be updated. I needed TWO people to verify which is really inconvenient when In a hurry and you might not have an extra 2 people.

Since there was no actual office I had to check-in by mobile divide. This process was difficult and time consuming. The vehicle was parked in tall grass close to fire ant mounds. Alleviating these conditions would make the experience more tolerable

We did not have a good experience with Uhaul, not this location but the one we originally booked with in College Station whom gave our truck to someone else without calling us. The 24/7 check in location would not work on my phone until I downloaded the app. My husband was not able to check it back in due to bad service at this location.
