Vehicle had garbage in the door pockets and papers on the dash, the lower passenger side mirror was cracked from previous damage I didn't see it on my initial walk around and a piece of it fell off during the trip... the cargo area wasn't swept and had old dirty boxes laying in it... (the boxes are documented in my pickup and return pics.. Driver side seat belt needs to be replaced, it hangs up when puting on and taking off...JAMES Y.

The people in the store were not wearing masks as mandated. They also seemed to not realize that I already did all the paperwork online and paid online. It took some explaining before she realized she had all my information. Trailer was not clean inside. Not swept or clean at all. Door needed to be cleaned and oiled. I am really disappointed to be honest because the lady in the place I rented the Uhaul in Waukegan gave me wrong information and I got charged twice! During this hard times I had the need to move and I feel unfortunate because 40 $dollars extra for me at this time is a lot of money. I lost 40 $because of a lady works for Uhaul and has very little knowledge about the actual service and because of that, I lost 40 $extra! I would honestly want a refund but I couldn't even talk about it with her because she told me to "Google" Uhaul customer service number! Seriously? That's how she provides assistance? She gave me wrong information about the return time, was rude, careless. Would not recommend. You're asking me what you can do to improve, you guys can start by refunding my 40 $for an extra day!Jesse S.

They were closed on a Saturday morning so I had to do the virtual pickup. They did not put the dollies in my truck but did charge me for them. Since they were closed, I had to go to another uhaul location to pick up and pay for the dollies. I can not recommend this location.Michael B.
The worker could not use the software and had to call corporate. It was an extremely long process to check the vehicle out. When I got the van it had 3/4 a tank of gas, when I returned the van the worker told me to use the online check in. I did and after going through a very long process it wanted to charge me for the 1/4 tank of gas that I didn't use. So I had to go in and have the worker go through the check in anyway. She had a hard time understanding the screens. It was clear that English was not her native language so the screens were not making sense to her. Especially the fuel one. I had to explain what they meant to her.Karen C.
Had to wait a long time to pick up van even thou I had reservation. They are more interested in the furniture side of business. Also when returning vehicle had to wait as I wanted to pay with different card than I used for reservation. I will in the future use the other Uhual in townEfren H.
There was a location that was an actual U haul place 1/2 mile from the house we were staying at, but U Haul made us drive 10 miles to get the only U haul left at a furniture shop.Taryn D.

Location was sketchy, people were unprofessional. Truck was running on fumes (although they entered it as 1/4 tank). I ordered 2 sets of pads - they had none to give (told me I'd need to drive to another U-Haul location if I still wanted them). He entered all my information, then informed me he could no longer access or print my contract, so I left with nothing in-hand (I did go to another location - Gurnee - and they loaned me pads free of charge but could not access my contract either). One of the two people present made a show of going out to the truck with a wet mop, not sure what he did with it. When I started loading I found broken glass and other debris on the floor, and trash under the seat in the cab. The only reason I will use U-Haul again next month is because the person I spoke to at corporate HQ told me I could specify that I will not pick up the truck at Morales Furniture, and they will honor that demand. Corporate was very helpful in getting me the information I needed, and tried to make up for the poor experience.Lee N.
I was charged more than what was stated on my contract after I returned the vehicle. My original total was 80,79 $ after the mileage was added on to the rental price and I was just charged an additional 14,24 $. Ridiculous.Abigail J.

Absolutely horrible experience. The staff is completely aloof and the equipment we ordered was not in the truck as requested. The site had parked the truck so narrowly we could not get in the cab, they had parked it so close to another truck they had to close the mirrors on the truck, and while we were trying to get in the truck to leave, the staff moved another (non-uhaul) truck right behind the U-haul vehicle and thus made it impossible to get the truck out. The two staff members did not speak any English, so they called a translator on their cell phone just so we could convince them to move the truck they had JUST backed up to block us in.Samuel B.
The place was in a very rough area. The people in the furniture store spoke little to no English. They didn't even check my ID or made sure that I had a license. They also refused to print me a contract or receipt when finished. They never went to check how much gas was in the truck or if there was any damage. I had to call Uhaul call center to get a receipt emailed to me and to make sure that my card wouldn't be charged for any bogus fees.Brittany M.

Hi, I actually had a slightly bad experience. I requested the Uhaul for 10am and i ordered a certain size. I received the confirmation email. When getting the Uhaul I was told I would have to wait until 11 instead. The employee at the place was late so I ended up getting around 11:20 instead. Then it turns out, it was a smaller size! They had â€œaccidentallyâ€ given away the size I requested to someone else.Kiara V.

I was unhappy to see a 16 $additional charge for returning the truck to the wrong destination, when this WAS the destination to which we were asked to return the truck. I feel we should receive a 16 $refund....we returned the truck as directed and it was returned a day early.louann H.
The location was closed and there were no instructions on the website as to how to pick up the truck via the lock box so I had to call and, after being on hold for more than 10 minutes, be insructed as to how to get the keys to the truck. There should be detailed instructions on picking up and returning the truck via the lock box. Also, there was no dolley inside the truck. Thankfully I didn't need it. Overall my experience was acceptable, but could have easily been better with a little effort.Bobby G.

I didn't know that the vehicle I used was only RWD. I rented during the winter where there was at least 3 inches of snow on the ground. I assumed the vehicle was AWD. It would have been nice to know, mainly during the winter, that the vehicle being rented is RWD to warn the customer/s. I was stuck at some point and what would normally have taken me 45 seconds to vacate the premises took me about 30 minutes that day. But overall, I was glad to have used U-Haul and glad to have worked with the gentleman, don't recall name. Merci!Richard A.
I had to wait 1 1/2 hours for an English speaking person to show up to complete the transaction. What the heck are you doing having a furniture store as a dealer. They have no personnel capable of answering any questions or to ensure the equipment was working. Your system is broken. Either hold your distributors to a high standard or get rid of the distributors.Chris F.

The woman who initially helped us with checking out the van became rude after I asked her for a paper copy of the contract. My partner and I were discussing that the mileage and gas needed to be on the carbon copy check out sheet. The woman walked by at that moment and made an asinine assumption that we were discussing her. She aggressively asked my partner if we were talking about her. He stated no. She persisted in assuming that us talking about mileage and gas translated into my partner calling her a "ghetto ass." We were troubled by her behavior and became angry by her persistence that we had called a derogatory phrase. He behavior was unacceptable to us and it should be completely unacceptable to Uhaul. She had zero reason to disrespect us. Please, Uhaul, request better customer service from this pick up location.Casey F.
I had a 14 hour drive with the car transport I rented. I requested a newer trailer that would not give me any issues on the long journey. I was very pleased with the condition of the trailer when I picked it up. It appeared to be a brand new trailer. 1. Update your printer. Took 10 minutes to print out all documents. You can buy a laser printer for 100 $make the investment! 2. Make it more clear where exactly your facility is located. I did not see the Uhaul sign clearly displayed on the store front. I literally walked around for 10 minutes trying to figure out where the Uhaul store was located. 3. Don't try to up-sell me. I filled out online that I did not need your insurance, don't try to pull a fast one and make me buy insurance when I previously declined your coverage. Especially when your insurance was over 100 $for 3 days. 4. Don't try to change my reservation details that I submitted online when I first booked the Uhaul. I selected the drop off location, which size uhaul I wanted, and the trailer that I wanted when I initially booked the Uhaul. For me to have to give you all of my details again was a waste of your time and a waste of my time. Just leave the details as is and let me check out. We spent nearly 30 minutes trying to pick up the Uhaul, should have been a quick in and out experience. 5. Don't try to act so confrontational. We are your customers, we want to be there to buy your services; don't make us feel less welcome because when we feel less welcome we are less inclined to purchase your services in the future.Aric B.
