After returning the truck I was charged an extra $57, when asking the employee about it he couldn't tell me why i was being charged anything else
Mariana CAlthough the gentlemen inside was VERY helpful in getting me checked in and finalized, finding the location (even with GPS assistance) was a complete nightmare. Only found it by accident. The sign outside was not clearly marked (and I don't even think LIT) and I missed it the first time around. it was quite frustrating. Not being from the area and it being a VERY LONG day, it made for a very miserable end to the day.
NEAL SThey added insurance with out our knowledge and charged us for two days when we only took the truck for less than 4 hours and brought it right back and didn’t need insurance and declined it when we made the order online because our destination was less than 5 miles we will never use them or go by them again they are scammers and money hungry and acted like it wasn’t their fault and said we needed to call customer service to sort the issue out which hasn’t been resolved yet.

RAYMOND CI can't believe it. The guy from Smoke Shop. Said he would close my order. In the end, they charged me another $149. The fucking app is glitching, the site doesn't work properly, and no one cares about complaints. they just took the money to rent a truck that I didn't do that day
Mustapa RThe check process was straight forward, but I didn't receive the furniture pads I requested and was charged for. It would of been convenient if some of the additionals would of been left with the personnel at the pick up location. Also, the put 'no' for the clean and well maintained, because the driver's area was a little dusty and one of the tires needed air.
Brendon FThe gentleman at the counter was friendly, however I had trouble with the app that kept refreshing. The location is difficult to access via public transit, so it was a pain to get back home.

MANDEEP Sneed assistance with reimbursement with an push card dolly that I paid for and it wasn't on the truck and the attendant couldn't do it. I was $7 and the gas tank was only one quarter full. Very poor experience
adelia bHidden fees motor vehicle tax, rental tax, safe trip & environmental fee. This store should have sign somewhere that it's also u-haul office & should be told beforehand that you need to take picture of mileage before exiting vehicle.
Andrea KThe vehicle I was to rent was not functional on the date of rental when staff had over 24 hours notice. I was instructed to pick up a vehicle at another location. When I asked Mr. Walter Blau, the regional manager, why a working vehicle was not available at the location, I was informed, "We do not move equipment." When I went to the second location to pick up the vehicle, they did not have the equipment I requested. I needed to go back to the first location to pick up the equipment and to return the equipment. That created a discrepancy when I went to return the vehicle since I reserved the vehicle and the equipment from the same location. There was a one mile discrepancy on the odometer from what was recorded -vs- what the vehicle odometer read. I was forced to pay for an extra mile. Overall, the only helpful employee was Alex at Ebco, Inc. The regional manager needs training in customer service and the attendant on Route 440 needs to learn how to just work.
Ardella VPlease be transparent with your prices because you'll really only show the price of you'll trucks but everything else is unknown. Also maintenance on you'll vehicles need to be better because I had one windshield wiper break off on me while I had to use the truck in the rain. This was my worse experience with U-Haul on truck cleanliness & a good working maintained truck was about 3 out of 10 experience.
Ferdinand CThe address listed - 725 Rte 440 - is not correct. Putting it in google maps and Waze led to an auto parts store. When I did find the check-in location it was dirty, smelly and service was slow. The store is in a rough area of Jersey City, always lots of people panhandling around the corner. The trucks are not in a secure location. When I opened my truck to put the dolly in the back I found a homeless person had slept in my truck the night before, leaving by filth, empty beer bottles, and an open bottle full of urine. The truck smelled horrible
Greg OThe truck was dirty and the passenger side rear view mirror was loose. This was a serious concern while driving as the mirror did not stay in place for the driver to see traffic conditions before changing lanes.

CHRISTOPHER BWhoever works here customer service is poor. Instead of parking the vehicle in the right place themselves, they asked me when I was already in my personal car. I had to get out in the rain and move that big truck once again. Worker is lazy!
Tahmya LImprove customer service and include equipment that I paid for. Very unprofessional and unhelpful at this location.
