The van was filthy. The windshield had a layer of dirt on it on the inside. It reeked of cigarette smoke. It ran well. Go the job done

The place was not easily accessible. Not safe to drive in and park car. Large dog in entrance makes one not feel comfortable to get to the worker in the back who was limited to a wheelchair Place was filthy

Associate working at this location was very personable and professional. Easy spot for pickup and drop off.

It is very accessible location right in town. But being right in town, it's very hard to pull the truck out and almost impossible to back in and park. The area for the trucks and the road don't give much to work with unfortunately.

The gentleman at the UHaul place in Niantic, CT was very courteous, professional and helpful. He went out of his way to clean the windshield for me. Many thanks!

Let the customer know that you'll need to park elsewhere, as there's no room in the lot. Lucky for me, it was raining hard, but I found a small spot I could get into. Otherwise you'll need to park down the street. Very happy with the customer service people, they were all very nice.and friendly,

Great place to go for UHAUL trucks and Vehicle services, parking is a little tight but park in the Marina while your there.

I reserved this months in advance and called the week before to confirm. Everything was ready and as it should be. We had a major storm happening during the return process and they walked us through the process over the phone. Excellent people. I'd definitely rent through this location again.

Again u- haul up charged my card. Have to wait two to three days for the correct amount to shoe up on the card. Again nothing to do with this location it's a u-haul thing. Staff at this location are awesome 

U-haul always charges my card way more than the due at signing. Have to wait 3 days for the correct charges to taken off my card. This has nothing to do with this location it is u-haul that does it. Last time it was 49 dollars they charged my card 121 dollars. Again this is u-haul doing it and not this location. This owner is awesome 

The return key lock box does not allow the keys to be returned. I ended up putting the key back in the lock box. Fortunately I remembered the combination.

The truck leaked which ruined some of my property! I've reached out to the actual location and the U-Haul Service team and have had no one contact me! I took videos and pictures of the leak.

Tire pressure indicator came on for the RR tire when I got to my place to load the truck. Five minutes from pick up spot. Truck was dirty inside and trash from prior occupants in console. I filled the tire on way out of town. Light came on again. Guessing a slow leak. Told site in Danbury.

When I first arrived, Noone was ready for me at 9 o'clock and I was on a very tight schedule. I had rented a 15 foot truck which they did not have ready for me at all, in fact, they said it was still out and would be coming for 11 AM! I then got a 10 foot truck which only had 3/4 of a gas tank so I had no idea how to just get the right amount of gas and when I dropped it off so I ended up putting in an extra 10 or so gallons and it had a low ligature pressure light the whole time. This was honestly the worst experience I've ever had as a customer in my life and I am 39 years old. I will never use you all again, ever. I had to rush around and barely got all of my furniture in the truck. it was also the final walk-through for a house that I am selling with a closing happening today. The amount of stress and frustration was absolutely because of U-Haul and this location I ended up being able to pull things off in time. Everything I experienced yesterday was unacceptable. It was an absolute nightmare. I wouldn't recommend this location or U-Haul to anyone. I will also definitely be telling my story too many people.

The location was tricky. Ended up parking down the street in a restaurant parking lot due to lack of parking at the pick up location. I had the reservation set for several days before pick up and the truck hadn't been assigned yet when I got there. The keys were not in the lock box but a guy grabbed them afterward from the office. The gentleman working there was very nice and got me out the door with the proper truck. But definitely not a swift experience.

Service at the Niantic location was very good. But the U-Haul app is unreliable, clumsy and in need of a professional rebuild. The phone support wait was an hour. Surprisingly poor customer support from a national corporation.

The owner of this establishment was super friendly and helpful with my questions during my reservations. He assisted me as much as he could to ensure it went thru as the site kept signing me out and moving me along in my reservation check in without completing steps needed (photos of vehicle and dashboard) I took photos knowing i would need them.

A completely good experience except for the end where someone called me to tell me that they had a problem with their staff and their computers and wanted me to change my rental. Then I was overcharged.

I was over charged almost $800. I was charged for 800 miles when I went 180 miles. I only had the truck for 7 hours.

I needed to extend my latest rental. I kept calling the location where I rented the van from. I left continuous messages with my phone number to contact me. Finally, the day of or before I dropped off the van. I stopped to fill the van up with gas. At the gas pump, a man rushed me. Jumped in front of me and stated he was taking the van. Proceed to state the van was reported "stolen". I looked at him with dismay and told him I was trying to call the location for days with no response. He even said he was following me from the pizza restaurant I stopped at to pick up food from. The police were called, I explained the situation and the van was re-rented overnight. I was a bit taken back. My hand was scratched by the man rushing me and I thought I was fighting to save the rental van. I thought the whole situation was totally unprofessional and would not recommend this location to anyone.

Would not use this location. Proprietor was closed when I went to pick up my reserved truck- did not respond to phone calls- left no instructions. Had to call national number to finally get access to a truck. Wasted an hour of my time. Rent from Essex or Groton location.

More expensive than expected. Gas tank was 3/4 full at pick up returned with same but ended up paying over 100 for a two day rental

My initial reservation changed locations further away from my moving route. The truck's battery needed to be replaced (I had to get it jumped twice, the second time it died was after five minutes stopped and off while pumping gas). I had to fill extra gas just to make sure I could leave the truck running while loading/unloading so it wouldn't die again. The drop off location was in a dark location on a busy road and I didn't have much room to park. I could handle it, but it was all unnecessarily added stress to an already stressful day that caused me to waste time and spend more money than anticipated. The man running the shop (I didn't catch his name) was solid and helped me get on the road quickly when I picked up. Shop office was a mess, but I get it, they're mechanics first and foremost so all is well. Honestly, the battery issue exacerbates the otherwise mundane issues of reservation locale and parking. I feel like I shouldn't be paying for a truck that I have to jump start multiple times.

The U-Haul truck was broke down in my driveway for 3 days with a dead battery. I tried to call the place to no avail. I used my triple a to get this issues resolved.
