I don't really understand why the online process for pickup was so lengthy. I did everything on the phone I needed, and it still took over 20 minutes inside the store to get the key to the truck. Fortunately moving is a long process and a little extra time is not that big of a deal, but I did have about 10 people standing around my house waiting for me to come back with the truck. Not sure if this process can get rid of the redundancies and streamline it to get you rolling faster, but it would be helpful.Alex W.

Had a reservation for 12:00. But my truck was not available untill 12:45. This caused problems for the move for all people I had helping and no one at Ace hardware offered any discount or help with this disadvantage . The back of truck was slightly dirty with some mud. The man who checked me in called and said the truck I reserved wasn't available. I had to take a smaller one. We requested moving pads and he told me they didn't have them when I arrived. He kept removing his mask from his nose/mouth during our interaction. The truck I got was old, and the windows were hard to open and close.Carol F.

The folks there were very nice and tried to be helpful but the check-in process was extremely slow. They had only one computer and several people picking up trucks. Perhaps that was unusual. I hate giving them a bad review but my experience was horrible, some of it not Ace Hardware's fault. The truck was filthy inside. I did not notice it when I rented it or when loading but everything had black dust all over it when we got to our location. We will have to hire a steam cleaner to clean the carpet. My second complaint is not really Ace Hardware's fault, it is U-Hauls. When I rented the truck I also reserved blankets and moving dollies. Well, it turns out that that location does NOT handle either one. They rent trucks, they do not have supplies or blankets or dollies. U-Haul should know this and it should not have allowed me to reserve them. Huge issue for us, trying to move heavy furniture with no dollies and no way to protect them with blankets. Not sure I will trust U-haul again in the future.michael F.

The dolly I rented was not in the truck, I had to go all the way back to the store to get it. The inside of the truck was covered in dried mud. My belongings were filthy once I was done.Bradley M.

The cab of the truck was very dirty....spilt drinks, dirt, an old sweater, sticky substances on floor and drink area. The storage bed had loose tobacco in it (and smelled), with a piece of duct tape stuck to the floor. The vehicle itself was undamaged and drove well. We got the dollies and blankets we requested so that was helpful. We were pleased that the pick up location we were changed to was near the original location. In terms of in and out quickly, we were the only ones renting from Ace Hardware at that time so that was quick. I would recommend that the driver/passenger area be cleaned before renting it out to the next customer and we would have been happier. If cleaning happens before truck is sent to pick up location, then Ace shouldn't be blamed for that.Julie K.

Truck was clean enough. Cup holders were coated in sticky residue and other crumbs from the previous renter. Check in experience through the website was frustrating. My location services were enabled on my android phone but I could not check in. Had to use my wife's phone to proceed. 2nd frustration was waiting in the freezing weather for u-haul to call my two provided secondary contacts. This process took between 5-10 minutes and was not transparent. I had no idea what was happening while my contacts were being verified.Ryan L.

Was routed here from the Westpark branch bc you over booked. The woman was incredibly slow at checking in. She showed us the gas paperwork. My dad started driving- for about 10 minutes and noticed it was on empty!! Had to spend 69 $to fill it up. Is it not your job to make sure the gas is accurate?! When I called I was told there was nothing they could do. It's your responsibility to check the trucks in is it not?! When I returned, there was an issue with my credit card in your end. The young man was nice and helpful. Overall not real pleased except for the employee who checked me back in.patty N.

I was overcharged on my "holding fee" uhaul customer service saw 73,14 $ for a holding fee but I got charged 148,14 $ holding fee. I had to call and file a complaint and I also filed a complaint with the better business bureau today. First the uhaul systems were down and I had to wait in the parking lot for an hour and waste time I needed for my moving day then the north olmsted ace hardware where I rented this truck overcharged me for the holding fee and left me with zero money. Unprofessional, I have used uhaul in the past and after this experience I never will again. I also informed customer service I will be disputing the full amount of the truck rental Monday morning due to the customer service I have received and the over charged on my holding fee that has still not dropped off my account that neither uhaul nor north olmsted ace hardware want to take responsibility for.Ashden S.

You are located at Ace Hardware. I did not know that. There are no U-Hall signs exterior or interior. I went by several times before I noticed a U-Hall truck in the back in a alley. When I asked two employees, one Ace Hardware and one U-Hall, why there were no U-Hall signs they stated, "We are Ace Hardware not U-Hall". Can't believe they said that about another company they are associated with. They also stated it as if I should have known it. They should be retrained or educated to be able to field questions regard the companies they represent. Other than that the U-Hall employee was knowledgeable and professional.John R.
Maintain these trucks and quit putting peoples lives at stake. Make sure the part where the seatbelt is inserted is not broken and unsuable.MILAN I.

The middle part of the cabin 'where drinks and paperwork can be put was filthy. We were moved to a 26' truck to do the 15' truck catalitic converter having been stolen. This truck was a horrible ride. If i had kidney stones, they should all be broken into small pieces now. When the 15' was found to no longer be available, the gal there (Bruni) really went to bat for us and went above and beyond for us. All businesses need people like her!mark Y.

Excellent rental experience. Made reservation 2 days ahead of time, got truck size I needed and it was clean; day of rental I got in and out right away. Last time I rented a truck in Cleveland I waited for 45 minutes to get a beat up truck that was almost empty in fuel. Highly recommend rental from UHaul at Ace hardware in North Olmsted.LISA F.

I've used this location twice. The first time was excellent. This time however, the truck was filthy in the back. I had to spend half an hour cleaning it before I could load my stuff. I mean literal dirt and mud. All over the floor. No one even thought about sweeping this thing out.Aric P.

There were damage to the box, right side headlite Loose, missing bulb no blanket in back. Wasn't noted . Other then that it was a good van . I would recommend To use U-Haul . It was promised that it would be there and easy pickup/return.Irfan I.
Couldn't access online check in due to no cell signal or internet. Luckily the store was still open and we were able to get checked in by them. Had to do online drop off after we left location for the same reason. Van was not exactly clean. Lots of large and small food crumbs under driver's seat and used pudding cup in driver's door. Dusty dashboard with customer paperwork from a week ago. Passenger compartment floor had particles of food or something else all over. Although cargo compartment was clean.ROY W.

The biggest issue I had with this rental was due what may have been poor cell reception in the location of the trucks. Trucks are parked in lot next to building surrounded by trees. I tried using numerous devices both on pickup and return of the vehicle. Upon picking up the vehicle, I arrived ten minutes early and finally left the location one hour after my scheduled pick up time. There website/app timed out and there was no way to properly record the mileage and beginning fuel level. I took a picture for my records. Upon returning the truck I once again had issues logging onto the uhaul web page. At that time I took another picture of the mileage and fuel gauge for my records. I then returned the keys to staff inside of the business at 4:40 pm.Robert L.

Apparently Ace hardware employees handle the uhaul transactions. The lady took the keys and told me that a receipt would be emailed to me which hours later still has not been received. I filled the gas tank and there was no damage to the truck but I was charged a fee for something from this location and dont know why.Lauri H.
Overall fine experience. But I was not happy to have photo's taken of my driver's license and put on-line. That license has too much information and my photo on it and is too sensitive to be up-loaded to a database. You should have your salesperson look at licenses for authenticity but NOT put them on-line. This makes me consider going elsewhere for my next rental.Gary S.
