SPENCER OWENThe truck I rented had it's engine light on. Had no heat. And it probably cost me an additional 20-30 miles because I couldn't drive the vehicle with no heat due to the cold. None of the before photos of the vehicle were accurate.

Mark CorsonI would've given them an excellent rating had they come out and checked it when I dropped it off they just took the keys and told me they would check it later. When I receive the bill. I was charge for gas when I had put gas in it when I returned it, I put 13 miles on it put gas in it returned it and got charged for gas saying it had less gas in it than it did ,had they come out and checked it when I dropped it off I would not have been charged for it ,since they didn't look at it till after I left, there's nothing I can do about it I think when the store is open and you drop the vehicle off they should come out walk through it check it and let you know then if there's an issue.I think it's just another way for them to make more money. Not sure I will rent from Uhaul again.
Kevin CarrierParked the truck and brought the keys inside. The cashier told me to move the truck to a different location (I think that should be his job) and did not check the truck in, so I didn't get immediate confirmation that there would be no extra charges. I was later inappropriately charged for mileage that was included in the contract, which would have been nice to discuss while I was actually handing the truck over.

Nick ChokshiThe app kept freezing on me and would not allow me to acquire the keys to the truck ... The desktop website was difficult to navigate/load as well. I was able to call the customer service "1-800" number and get the info I needed. The process should not have been so difficult ... The app could use some improvements... Overall I'm a loyal uhaul customer and I enjoy this location - clearly the process is much easier to work with live human interaction - the app was not so great for me.

JAMES GREENEI said yes to the question about the vehicle being clean and maintained. For the most part it was. The windows were dirty on the inside and the drivers side small mirror was cracked. Not a major issue but an irritation. Would still recommend using the location. Everything else was fine. Almost forgot, the check in app did not work correctly.

We ended up taking our time and i checked back in about 3 hrs later than planned. I then found out I got charged an extra day because I had gone over what HE suggested!!! He also did not explain the drop off well. NEVER AGAIN!!

William DotyThis will be a rather long review, so bear with me! I consider myself to be a loyal UHAUL customer. Over the years, I have used their storage, trucks, trailers, and bought equipment and accessories, and my overall experience is quite good. My review today - about a 26' truck rental- is meant to help UHAUL improve their service and help inform other customers. I will start with a brief review of the truck itself, and then delve into the process of picking up the truck. The 26' truck has ample space for cargo, is (relatively) not hard to drive (although I must point out that I have driven UHAUL trucks multiple times before), and powerful enough to carry your heavy furniture and appliances on the highway. On the other hand, the claim that it seats three people comfortably for long distances is certainly not true. The seat in the middle is not remotely adequate for an adult person -even with a small build- and offers very little leg room. This said, my overall experience with the truck itself was good. My main issue is with the 24/7 self-service process, and mainly with the UHAUL app. The rest of the review details my experience. My pickup time was at 6:00 AM, so had to use the 24/7 system, which meant going through the pickup process through the app rather than in person. I was there around 10 minutes early and was eager to start my trip (I was moving my belongings from a storage across the border in Canada, and had movers scheduled to meet me there). First issue, trying to convince the app to accept my headshot (I need to take a photo of myself so that a live agent can compare it to my ID photo). I tried snapping the picture more than a dozen times, and it just asks me to retake it. I called live support and then advised me to use the web rather than the app! Fine, I did that, but then we moved to the next problem: the app insists that I am delusional and that I am not actually at the correct pickup address, although I was 100 % there. By then I had lost some precious time, and it started raining, and I still had to inspect the truck and check if it had the tools I reserved (furniture dolly and pads). Nasty surprise: no tools were found (in addition to the fact that I received a call the day before informing me that another tool I reserved, an appliances dolly, would not be available, which sent me scrambling to go to the UHAUL store to rent one; so much for fully online experience!). I also found some damage on both sides of the truck, and I had to take photos to document that, which was not fun in the rain. Besides, the app provides no confirmation that the photo taken has been received (except for a hardly noticeable micro thumbnail). Then comes the step of taking a photo of the driver's license and being asked to retake it! Finally, I had to get the key box for the car keys: the tiny picture on the app doesn't offer a lot of help locating the box and it was a bit like a scavenger hunt. The box doesn't ask you to key in a code, but rather uses the dreaded combination lock: in rainy weather and low light, that was the cherry on the cake! Soaked and frustrated, I started my trip more than an hour later, and ended up paying the movers (which were great, by the way, and I hired through UHAUL also) an extra hour that they waited for me until I arrived late. To end my review with advice that hopefully adds value: UHAUL app is not just an alternative (like a bank app for example), but it is integral to the 24/7 experience where there are no people on the ground to help you! It must work flawlessly AND the designers must take into consideration real life situations rather than sanitized lab experiments! Real people use this app while already stressed by the whole moving experience, possibly holding a slippery phone while drenched in rain. The app needs to work then too. Food for thought: maybe allow for a live video option where a representative can lead the customer through the process, as a plan B, because there didn't seem to be a plan B: it was either following the rigid path embedded in the app, or staying beside the truck helplessly until you…follow the rigid path embedded in the app!

Michelle TorresVery disappointed!! First truck they gave me(20') when I pulled out the check engine light was on and I had to return it. They did not have a replacement so I had to settle for a 15' since I already had people waiting to load the truck. The truck cargo area was filthy with something splattered all over the wall. The drivers door would not unlock with the key. I get the invoice and they charge me for 2 gallons of gas at a ridiculous cost. I have a receipt for $38 dollars that I put in before returning with the gas gauge where it was when I got it! Not to mention I had to wash the windshield before I could drive because it was so dirty.Not a good experience! Will look elsewhere next time!
