I don't really understand why the online process for pickup was so lengthy. I did everything on the phone I needed, and it still took over 20 minutes inside the store to get the key to the truck. Fortunately moving is a long process and a little extra time is not that big of a deal, but I did have about 10 people standing around my house waiting for me to come back with the truck. Not sure if this process can get rid of the redundancies and streamline it to get you rolling faster, but it would be helpful.Alex W.

Had a reservation for 12:00. But my truck was not available untill 12:45. This caused problems for the move for all people I had helping and no one at Ace hardware offered any discount or help with this disadvantage . The back of truck was slightly dirty with some mud. The man who checked me in called and said the truck I reserved wasn't available. I had to take a smaller one. We requested moving pads and he told me they didn't have them when I arrived. He kept removing his mask from his nose/mouth during our interaction. The truck I got was old, and the windows were hard to open and close.Carol F.
I did not know the uhaul was inside ace hardware and the chat representative did not know either. Suggest putting a sign or sticker on window of ace hardware, so it's more clear.Jessica T.

The folks there were very nice and tried to be helpful but the check-in process was extremely slow. They had only one computer and several people picking up trucks. Perhaps that was unusual. I hate giving them a bad review but my experience was horrible, some of it not Ace Hardware's fault. The truck was filthy inside. I did not notice it when I rented it or when loading but everything had black dust all over it when we got to our location. We will have to hire a steam cleaner to clean the carpet. My second complaint is not really Ace Hardware's fault, it is U-Hauls. When I rented the truck I also reserved blankets and moving dollies. Well, it turns out that that location does NOT handle either one. They rent trucks, they do not have supplies or blankets or dollies. U-Haul should know this and it should not have allowed me to reserve them. Huge issue for us, trying to move heavy furniture with no dollies and no way to protect them with blankets. Not sure I will trust U-haul again in the future.michael F.

The dolly I rented was not in the truck, I had to go all the way back to the store to get it. The inside of the truck was covered in dried mud. My belongings were filthy once I was done.Bradley M.

The cab of the truck was very dirty....spilt drinks, dirt, an old sweater, sticky substances on floor and drink area. The storage bed had loose tobacco in it (and smelled), with a piece of duct tape stuck to the floor. The vehicle itself was undamaged and drove well. We got the dollies and blankets we requested so that was helpful. We were pleased that the pick up location we were changed to was near the original location. In terms of in and out quickly, we were the only ones renting from Ace Hardware at that time so that was quick. I would recommend that the driver/passenger area be cleaned before renting it out to the next customer and we would have been happier. If cleaning happens before truck is sent to pick up location, then Ace shouldn't be blamed for that.Julie K.

Truck was clean enough. Cup holders were coated in sticky residue and other crumbs from the previous renter. Check in experience through the website was frustrating. My location services were enabled on my android phone but I could not check in. Had to use my wife's phone to proceed. 2nd frustration was waiting in the freezing weather for u-haul to call my two provided secondary contacts. This process took between 5-10 minutes and was not transparent. I had no idea what was happening while my contacts were being verified.Ryan L.
