Overall experience was good. But I did get some difficulty when returning the truck using self-service. There was an error showed that "share my location" could not be used. It took me 10 minutes to google and search for articles about how to turn on this function. It would be helpful if Uhaul website can give some instruction about that.

I was quoted one price and used the only smaller truck they had available. Though I could have used this vehicle for 24 hours, I bought it back in three hours. I had large heavy furniture to move 3 miles from where it was located. I had movers, so this entire process took less than 2 hours. I had to pay much more than the price which I was origanilly quoted earlier that day. Never Againat Omega storage. !

Improve the online app. It appears that uhaul requires access to your entire phone in order to upload photos.

I scheduled a pickup for 8:30 for the 98 Washington Rd, Princeton Junction, NJ 08550 location. My pickup got moved to this new location. This new location IS NOT OPEN until 9am so this is definitely an issue with Uhaul's system. We waited anyway. The owner gets there and begins to help me since i'm first in line (only one other person behind me). He pulls up my reservation no problem and then asks if I want insurance. I don't remember if I added that to my reservation so I ask for a second to check my email. The owner says "you don't need to look anything up, i just need to know if you need insurance". Again I say, "gimme a sec, let me check" and he says even louder "Just tell me yes or no!". At this point, both me and the guy behind me are surprised at how quickly he escalated the situation so I said "just one second..." and before I could finish, he THREW the keys at me and gestured to the guy behind me and yelled "Next, I don't have time for this". Don't have time for this? There's one other guy in the store and he clearly was surprised because he didn't step right up. In fact, he even said "are you sure, I can wait". The owner starts to help him while I stand there completely surprised at the aggressiveness. During that time, another patron walks in and hears the yelling from the owner and audibly says "what the...". Literally 3 people are confused by why the owner is acting like this. I wait until he finishes with the guy after me and he helps me again. I decline insurance and says "look it's busy, I don't have time to wait" which i THINK was his attempt at trying to apologize? Who knows. I say "it would have literally taken 20 seconds". He repeats "i dont have time for that". I say "you didn't have to throw the keys at me" to which he responds "i didn't". I dropped it after that because it was clear he wasn't willing to own up to anything. Picked up the truck which was totally fine and drove off.

It's unfortunate that UHAUL isn't able to reserve a specific location or time for a pick up of a truck. I understand that all things can't be met, but you should alert us more than 48 hours in advance. I had "preferred" a pick up 14 miles closer to my home and 3 hours earlier than I was able to pick it up. This put my move back several hours, since I had already had people to help at a certain time. Since 48 hours before, I got a call saying my location or time was not avaialble, I had to seriously change my plans. The locations were great. No question about that. But they weren't the location or time I was looking for.

I was extremely disappointed with Uhaul. I had reserved an 830 am pick up of a 20 foot truck more than a month out from my move date, along with 3 dozen moving pads to be rented. When i received my confirmation a day prior to the move, i was told the closest truck was a 30 minute drive away, despite having multiple other uhaul facilities closer to my home. Despite this i went to pick up my truck at 830 as it was stated on my confirmation email as well as my text i received. Upon arrival at the facility, it was closed, and when i called the number at the facility, i was rudely told that they did not open till 9am. I told them i had an 830 reservation, and was told that he did not care, and that they did not open till 9am. When i returned at 9am, the door was still locked, and a gentleman finally opened the door, and treated me as rudely as possible, ignoring the fact that i checked in online previously asking questions that would have been answered had he looked at my reservation (about insurance, moving pads, and drop off location). Despite my reservation requesting 3 dozen moving pads, he told me he only had a dozen, and that i should either "take them or leave em". I honestly have never been treated so poorly in my life. The truck was still filthy and not cleaned from a prior user. I will never use Uhaul again based upon this interaction.

The vehicle we received had several issues. The first, and by far largest issue was the steering alignment- driving the truck straight required the wheel to be held at the 10 o’clock position, with constant correction required. Secondly, the rear door of the truck had missing wheel rollers, which prevented the door from closing smoothly. I was forced to jump inside the truck, hold the panels with missing rollers up so they would go around the bend while someone else pulled, then jumped out before closing the door all of the way. When the door was closed, the drivers side of the rubber seal did not make contact with the truck flooring- about a half inch gap. This was particularly problematic for us as it rained during our rental and water leaked into the cargo hold while we were parked facing downhill. Also- proper strapping points for people with their own truck straps would be much appreciated.

Not a problem with this rental location per se, but it was very inconvenient and frustrating to have had my reservation switched to this location from Princeton Junction. UHaul's scheduling system needs attention.

I used the on line check in feature prior to getting into the facility at 9:02. When I got to the counter they did not have a truck available for me. After a few phone calls they found a truck at a nearby location. Very frustrating that I had a reservation and there were many trucks sitting in the lot, but nothing for me. This is now 30 minutes that i wasn't able to get a truck. I drove to the other location and they did have a truck. For some reason all of the information i had entered on line was not available, so we had to re-enter all of that. I finally got a truck at 9:50. This was not a smooth customer experience. No one seemed to be concerned that I reserved a truck and there was nothing available for me.

This is a general comment for Uhaul website. I am pretty sure I declined the $14 insurance but it was still somehow added. I didn't print out the confirmation and my confirmation e-mail didn't have a breakdown of my reservation items. Also the truck was pretty dusty on the corners.

The expected pickup location did not have a trailer. There is no explanation anywhere that the "preferred" location has nothing to do with where the trailer will be available. Very annoying. The trailer was old and crappy. The sliding door was very difficult to open. It was clean enough though.
