Owner did a extra mile to help me get my rent truck...all instructions one website were good just the lock code the issue and he help me. Also when returning I didn't have a lock protecting the dolly I rent since I returned after hourFELIPE S.

The pickup instructions were not very clear. In addition to the unclear directions, the available employee was rude, and not helpful whatsoever. I called, and there was no answer. I actually booked my pickup at a Florida Street location which is closer to my home/ moving destination however when I made it to that location my truck wasn't ready. Someone from that location even called me earlier in the day to confirm that I was picking up and still failed to have my truck available. I needed the truck to move ASAP so I called U-Haul customer service and the next closest location that could accommodate me was O'Neal lane and 10 miles from my home. I had no other choice but to go pick it up so that added 20 miles to my mileage usage and burned more fuel. Overall, I was not happy with the Florida Street location but the O'Neal lane location was great!Latasha B.

Overall, I had an awful experience and don't plan on renting from U-Haul again. I reserved a truck and received a confirmation text for the truck. When I showed up, I was told they didn't have one and couldn't do anything for me. They were able to find a truck but at a different t location across town. I Ubered to the store so I was left with no ride and had to Uber again. When I arrived at the next location, I was again told they didn't have anything for me and that I wouldn't leave with a truck. It wasn't until the man called his supervisor that I was able to get in the truck. The truck was in poor condition and absolutely smelled of cigarette smoke. There were cigarette ashes in cup holders and on the floor. I was also charged for extra mileage even though I turned it in earlier than it was due. I was not told that would be the case. I actually feel like I am owed money for my rental or at least refunded for part of my payment. I do not plan on ever renting again and this was my first time renting. I plan on calling the 1800 number tomorrow during the day to report this again. Absolutely terrible experience.Alex C.

The man was kind of Rude ! He told me everything to keep me from renting the truck. He said that if I needed the truck for 6 Hrs I Ã±eeded to tell him right now an he wasn't going to allow me to use iT ! An he demanded to know. I was charged for an extra day even though I returned the truck on the same day. I was told be a office personnel that because the contract wasn't dropped off with the keys then he had to guess my return day/time information. Well that 'guess' costed me money. My complaint- I'm sure my contract information has to be somewhere within the Uhaul system. A simple phone call or email to me could have resolved the issue. Instead I was charged a full day for a truck I didn't have. Likewise, I've been trying to get the amount disputed...it has been 4 days and no one has contacted me yet. I think it is safe to say I'm officially done with the entire Uhaul company.Kimberly F.

We are totally disappointed with this last rental experience. I had a truck reserved for 10am pickup on 2/24/18 and I arrived at the location at 9:45am. We were informed that Uhaul's system was down and it may be 15 mins. The wait was over 1 1/2 hours for the system to come back up. I understand that computers do go down but Saturdays are busy rental days and Uhaul should do their very best to keep those systems up/running. The attendant informed us that the system goes down quite often but normally not for that extended time. I had helpers that were waiting to load my truck and I still have to pay them for the time that they were waiting for us to pickup the rental truck. When the system goes down, Uhaul should be able to use "paper" contracts especially if this is a regular occurrence. There were other consumers there also who were totally disappointed and upset. I don't know if I will be renting from Uhaul again. This was unacceptable.Raco C.

Overall Everything was great I only had one problem the light on the back of the truck did not work so moving at night is harder next time I will remember to check. Make sure all lights are in working condition.Tanya K.
The owner of the place seemed shady. He didn't ask us IF we wanted extra insurance, he asked us WHICH insurance we wanted and he was very condescending. The ONLY reason we went ahead with the rental is because we had no other choices. If I need a truck in the future, I will use another truck company. I have rented trucks several times before and this by far is the most unpleasant one of ALL of them. I for sure will not recommend the place where we rented this one even to my worst enemy.JAMES M.

The person completing the intake called and told us we had to fold the blankets or they charge 1,00 $ for each blanket they have to fold. I assumed this was part of their duties as they are paid by UHAUL. I have NEVER had anyone tell me I need to fold the blankets or I would be charged and I have never been charged for it.Walter R.
I sent a separate email 9/4/2017 with photos of the vehicle. The left rear outer tire had steel wires coming through and was in need of immediate replacement. The vehicle was filthy. No inspection was done with me. I was handed keys and told where the drop box was. The owner of the facility added damage waiver on my contract after I had declined online. This location was terrible. The owner had trouble with his seemingly old computer. I waited over 40 mins and was told to "sign here" which I did, not realizing that he changed my contract from what I entered online. I would never go to this location again. And I sincerely hope the tire is replaced on this vehicle before a serious accident occurs from a blow out. I have rented from uhaul multiple times in the past and have never had any problems at all. I couldn't be more disappointed with this experience.Amy H.

There were problems obtaining my reserved rental due to rental pick up location ability to connect with server, printer, and/or computer difficulties. To me, this is unacceptable customer service because it delayed my move by over an hour. The representative was frustrated about the whole process which was not his fault because he wanted me to have the truck upon arrival.Terumi B.

More informative voice mails would be nice. Especially when pickup locations change. Granted, you do this everyday but a vague voice mail stating we have you scheduled for a pick up at a location with just the name, no address, and no comment on the fact that this is not your requested location only add confusion to the process. Then the location isn't open to ask questions etc.... No, I'm not thrilled with this experience. Guess I'll go with Budget next time. They were cheaper anyway.Brian Z.
