Naman COverall, the experience was very poor. I was able to get one load from the old house to the new one, but after loading up the van a second time, the ramp snapped, while open, preventing me from being able to close it. Moreover, I attempted to start the truck and it wouldn't start. I reached out to support and they ordered a local mechanic to come and take a look. He was able to temporarily repair the ramp, but he too tried starting the trucka nd it wouldn't budge. He thought perhaps there was not enough gas and so he went to fetch a jerry can to fill with gas and returned 90 MINUTES LATER. After putting around twenty dollars worth of gas in the truck, he found it still wouldn't start. He spoke to someone and determined that the fuel gauge was faulty and that was preventing it from starting. He could do nothing else. It is now 3 hours after the intiial call. A new ticket was prepared and another truck was ordered to tow the truck. He would be there in approximately one hour. When he was nearby, the next truck driver called me to ask what the problem was - I indicated what I had been informed, that the fuel gauge appeared to be faulty and that it was preventing the truck from starting. At this point he began to berate me, asking if that made sense, and telling me it had to be something else. I told him it was a rental, and that I wasn't a mechanic. He finally showed up, and was clearly displeased to be out in the world. He tried to start it, the engine would not turn over. He tried again - same effect. He suggested maybe it needed gas. I informed him that we had put a full Jerry can into the tank. He insisted it was because the tank wasn't full enough. He then asked me for cash or a card to go and get gas - I didn't feel comfortable giving him either. He complained, left and went to get gas. He came back with about five dollars worth of gas, put that in the truck and then tried to start it. It still wouldn't work. He opted to get more gas. Came back. Same effect - the engine wouldn't turn over. He then informed me the truck would have to be towed. He was not happy about that. We then chatted about where the truck was heading and I told him. As it was nearby he wanted to go and take a look, so I got into his truck and we went to the new location. He asked where I wanted it left at the new location and I showed him a few spots he might leave it on the street. We then went back to the original location; on the way he complained about being a contract worker, and then proceeded to inform me that becasue of the nature of his tow truck - a flatbed - if he tried to pick up the truck it would likely destroy the sidewalk and rip up the deck of the truck and that he didn't want to to do that. He then asked me what I wanted and I told him to leave me with the truck. I put in a new ticket, now at 12AM, and asked if I could have a second truck dropped off so that I could transfer everything from one to the other and that Uhaul could deal with the broken down truck and I could finish the move that I had started at 10AM. I was informed that my contract was closed and there was no way to do that. Another tow was ordered. As I had now spent over 14 hours on this move, I was tired, and I expressed to the agent on the phone that I would prefer to go to my new home and sleep a little bit, and that they could tow without me. I was informed that would be okay, but that they would call me to confirm when the truck was picked up and dropped off. I was adamant that I would be sleeping and would prefer not to be called. At 1:30 I got a call asking if I told the previous driver not to tow. I told them what was said to me, and they said they would put it in the notes. I mentioned that I was going to sleep and asked that no more calls be made to me. At 2:30AM I received a call, asking me to confirm that the truck was picked up. I informed the agent that I was asleep at the dropoff location and couldn't possibly know. They said they would follow up when it was dropped off. I asked again that they please not call me as I was trying to get a little bit of sleep. At 3:30 in the morning I got a call asking if the truck was dropped off. I again mentioned that I was trying to sleep and I could confirm first thing in the morning. At 7AM I woke and began to unpack the truck. At 7:30 i got a call asking how long I would be. I indicated roughly two hours. Two hours later I got a call asking if I was finished and I indicated that I would probably need one more hour. They said fine, they would call back. I finished and one hour later the final tow truck was ordered to take the truck away. I thought my ordeal was over. One week later I received a call from the dealership asking when I would be returning the truck. So in all that time, no one bothered to inform the dealer that the truck was in a shop and that I had completed my move. Fine, I called back and told them what had happened. In short, this experience, what should have been a one day move, turned into a 24hour nightmare. One that I am not wont to repeat any time soon.
Jeffrey RDamages were billed without any justification or notice. Equipment was returned exactly as received!
JOHN HThere is no parking. I was not allowed to leave my car at the location. I spent 20 minutes looking for parking. FInally I found a spot 2 blocks away from this location
Ricardo HQuick and easy. And friendly.
Pierre NPolite and welcoming Great service Customer welcoming Answered questions
Susan JI am a small city person and the extreme traffic of Toronto was nerve wracking.
Ralph LNo sign, hard to find and enter lot. It seemed sketchy. The website was giving me trouble to share my location which is needed for the mobile return. I had to download the app to return.
SAPPHIRA TThe guy who handed the truck over was very professional. Excellent service à la clientèle.
Isuru SPick-up and drop-off at this location was smooth. Merci.

BRANDON WMick was great!
KaySa RI was told to fuel half gas before returning the truck by the staff, but I got charged additional gas fee, and noticed that the gas was 9/16 level. The staff should inform me accurate info.
Jinxian YLocation changed on us the night before after booking a different location 3weeks prior. It was inconvenient and a tight small unlabelled parking lot between an alley way downtown Toronto. Added extra time and stress to our day.
Nathan RSend the email asking for the license before you arrive would be nice, it was odd taking a photo standing outside in an alley and would have preferred to do it at home
Arden HThe guy who helped me was very helpful.
Navid NNo personnel on site, but the return process was clear nonetheless.
TERRANCE BThe parking lot is really tight and difficult to enter and park. Overall my experience was still great.
Pierre N-The agent at your location at 291 College Street, Toronto, was professional, provided expert assistance, and helped with my questions. -Overall, the equipment was clean and well maintained. However, the cargo area had not been swept. I cleaned it prior to use. -I experienced difficulty reaching a U-Haul representative via phone to discuss my reservation prior to the rental period. I could only reach a representative through U-Haul's automated calling system by selecting the option for making a new reservation. Generally, I prefer speaking to humans over call automation. This was not a pleasant part of my experience, and I will keep my eye out for rental services whose representatives are easier to reach. -I am not willing to use my own device to check in or make an inspection of the vehicle. I hope it will be possible to check in and inspect the vehicle with your representatives in future.
Bogdan SLocation isn't very obvious. In the end not too difficult to find, but it could be.
ROBERT AThere were very few parking spots and the key drop off box should be more visible.
Arlene RThe vehicle was clean, but there were a few small things in the vehicle - a rag, a bottle of water and some paper - that were probably left by the previous renter that were not cleaned out of the vehicle. The parking lot was crowded with U-Haul vehicles, but on my way out the attendent was helpful and assisted me by moving the vehicle to a location from where I could more easily move it out of the lot. I returned after hours, so I did not receive such service, but I parked as best I could in a very crowded, very small space.
DONALD BVery helpful staff!
Shannon MRequested equipment not found
Khan SThis was just down right awful. After having already picked up the uhaul the previous evening I received a call the following morning to change my drop off location. The nearest suggested location was an additional 40 minute drive each way to the drop off location. After explaining that I was renting this uhaul to move to an apartment in Toronto that was a 15 minute walk from the drop off location and that I would not have a vehicle to get back from the other location they agreed to keep the original drop off after checking with a manger. Upon going to drop the vehicle off I was unable to check it in at the drop off location as the vehicle drop off location had again been switched to the other location outside of the city. This was eventually resolved after another hour on the phone waiting on hold and being transferred between people while this was resolved. The experience ended up in me missing an appointment with a service installer at the new apartment as well as a dinner reservation because I was sitting waiting to check this vehicle back into the lot that I had booked for it to go to. Overall an awful experience and will heavily weigh in on any future rental needs.
Jacob TThe lock box was extremely difficult to locate and did not match the picture on the app. I had to speak to two separate representatives - one couldn't locate drop off information for the site at all and had to connect me with a second representative and the next gave me a verbal description of the box that did not match the drop box location. It took me 45mins to locate the box finally with the help of the staff from a nearby restaurant who had seen others dropping keys off. I will be telling people to avoid this drop off location for all of these reasons. Awful and frustrating.
KATRINA HIt will be helpful to get pick up instructions beforehand instead of us trying to figure out and then call.
Godfrey PThe only thing that made it difficult was having to return to pick up location.
Jo-Anne BSmooth process, staff where patient and helpful
Eitan TVery close, friendly staff, clean vehicle.
Carolyn MThey tried to charge me $150 for a scratch on the bumper that was already there. I highly reccomend taking a video walk around of the vehicle! Once I called to inquire about the charge on my bill, they reached out to U-Haul and had it reversed on my card in a couple of days, but it was super shady and felt like they are just assuming people won't do their due diligence.
Lillian GVery friendly and efficient service. He explained everything very clearly. I would definitely return again and recommend this place to family and friends. Merci.
Catharina RThe location was hard to locate and the drop off was even harder due to app not working
Himanshi KUpon my return of the vehicle rented I was told of a scratch on the bumper and asked to pay for it. I did not make the scratch and was shown a before and after picture which did not confirm this was the vehicle I rented. I felt I had no choice but to pay the deductible but felt I was taken advantage of as a women. I should have been shown a video of the vehicle matching my plates which I was not. I felt intimidated and not comfortable paying but again had no choice!!! I'm hoping you can look into this issue.
Lucy DThe store dealer said that there was a damage on the truck that did not have. And he made a mistake in the fuel charge. He charged me over 400 dollars for only 2 hours rental. I have already negotiated with customer service to discuss future action with the store owner. I will not recommend this store to anyone.
Ziqing NI got overcharged by $400
Lara BI will not ever recommend U-Haul. You changed out pick up location 2 times, once when we were already at the 2nd location and there was no truck available. Took an Uber to the College street location (3rd location) for pick up at a cost of $30 plus the additional fuel for the truck required to get back to our location - over 30 minutes away.
Roy COn time and quick pick up. Needed to check out via App - make sure App is installed and ready to go if doing early morning pickup. Great communication.
Jonathan SWatch out for the fuel charges at this location. They get added on even when you take the time to refuel yourself and then it is a big hassle to get this rectified. Very disappointing!
Kurt AOne of the best locations in Toronto!
Denys ZEven a small kiosk or trailer needed. For questions
Paolo CJust make sure before call to the customer for pick up trailer should be in a good and working condition . When I reached there so I saw trailer has no chord which we used to attached with the vehicle. Waited for an hour for chord but chord didn't came. Another customer came for drop off his trailer and that was disputed one but I have no choice at that time so I picked up that one.
Sonal MYanis was great to deal with, I would definitely recommend this location.
Carolyn FThe app/website was very slow while returning the truck. It crashed many times and had to do the process over and over. Others good experience
Amritpal K👌👍
Osman BDon't rent out damaged vehicles to customers.
Oluwajimi KDo not change location at the last minute and the truck was dented and not full with gas. Very disappointed.
Gerard MNever renting with you again.
corey yStop sending people far from where they originally booked for a truck unnecessary kms charged .. Fix My bill
Clinton LThis is not the location that I reserved my truck from. I reserved two months ago to pick up from Burlington but no trucks were available. After a few calls and pleading to find something more convenient than the Brantford location they were suggesting, they were able to find one truck at this location which was somewhat more convenient for me.
