Please update the truck availability on your website. I was able to reserve a large truck, however, this location does not carry that truck. It was a huge inconvenience and made for a much longer day. Local service was fine, the uhaul reservation process was awful.Ryan K.
My rental experience was fine with Parts Depot of Salida. my only complaint is the amount of the mileage charge which is not set by them. There was no equipment available on the other end of my pickup and so this was my only option. If I need to rent again, u-haul would not be my 1st choice due to price.Charles L.

Extra $120 dollar charge, unexpected, but had to pay for misc fees if I wanted truck. Didn't explain anything on this 26ft truck. When I stopped and asked, they gave me a number to a guy in Gunnison, Co. That person I called was wonderful and put all my fears at ease. He told me he always goes over the trucks with clients. I told him they just gave the keys and said bye. I was so thankful for this gentleman in Gunnison.Laura A.

Katie saved the day for me! I had reserved a 26' truck (a month ahead) for moving day and was told THE DAY BEFORE, by Uhaul, that I was going to have to drive over an hour, and OVER MONARCH PASS, to pick up the truck. So I called Big-O in Salida and explained what was happening. Katie said she did not have a 26' truck, but if I had another driver I could have the 10' and a 15' trucks and her lot! That is what we did! Thank you Katie, for thinking outside the box!Jennifer R.

Ensure trailers function properly and easily with mechanical issues. Do not charge at the drop off location a fee for unused items such as a dolly that was returned, unused to the pick up location. This occurred with my transaction and I want my credit card credited back for the returned item immediately.Angela W.

U-haul's customer service line confirmed my pickup for this location. When I called this location, I was told my reservation could not be confirmed because the truck was being repaired. I was told I would need to go to a different location the day before the reservation. I called U-haul customer service and was told to contact the dealer location, again. After being sent back and forth several times, the last time I called this location, they said they had plenty of other trucks available and my reservation was confirmed. After going through several loops needlessly, I finally got the truck and it was fine. My only suggestion would be to hire more competent staff who knows the truck inventory and can give customers accurate information, or at least help in troubleshooting the problem. If this wasn't the only location in 30 miles of me, I would not use it again.Michael H.

I love you guys. I had an exceptional experience renting a trailer to deliver and pick up my beloved harley davidson chopper to Colorado Springs hd shop thank you very much. Ps. The trailer cost much less than I thought, you mad my Christmaswilliam B.
Customer service was very poor. The owners were very unfriendly and acted as if they were being bothered by my being there. I stood around waiting for help and no one would even acknowledge me even though there was no one at the counters and the business was not busy at all. I will do my best to never get a rental from them again or recommend this business.Robert B.

My issue isn't with the place I picked up, or dropped off the rental. My issue is with Traffic at the Corporate level. This has to be the most unorganized and inefficient department I have ever had the displeasure of working with. We made the reservation for Littleton, CO, and was told we would have to drive 5 hours one way to the Grand Junction area to pickup the rental. Thank God the people at the Littleton location helped me out. They found this location in Salida and saved me 6 hours. Again, the people at both the pickup and drop off locations were super, and should be commended for their efforts. Corporate n the other hand, really needs to get their crap together.Jeff H.

U-Haul, the company gets Zero Stars... ZERO...They did a terrible job. I made the reservations 3 weeks in advance only to receive a call the night before needing the trailer saying the pick up location had changed to Westcliffe, CO. That's a 3 hour roundtrip from Salida, CO. The U-Haul representative that called was un-phased by the major inconvenience this created the night before I needed the trailer. She offered no other options to help the situation. Upon pressing for better options I was finally offered a larger trailer, much larger trailer than I needed, at the same location but I would have to pay the increased rate for that trailer. She would not honor the pricing for the trailer I had reserved. Terrible experience. Hey U-Haul you get a Zero... The location I picked up from did a tremendous job! U-Haul the company, has a lot to learn from their dealers that support them and U-Haul should support them instead of putting them in a position of having to clean up after them.Tom L.

Friendly service. Was told by a corporate customer service employee that there was not a demand for the motorcycle trailer in my area, and that this location did not have one, nor could they get one. I called the dealer direct and found out they had four! Rented one the same day, however it would've been cheaper online.Mark D.
I have never wasted more time on the phone trying to pick up a reserved trailer! Last minute told there wasn't one? But there was one!! In fact there were 5! were they said there wasn't one, absolutely the worst experience with U-Haul I've ever had I wish there was another option. NOT THE SALIDA STORE THEY WERE GREAT! Reservations tried to send me 86 miles from my Buena vista pick up point (where there were trailers also) and they were unaware of trailers sitting stagnant in Salida Colorado reservations was the real poor customer service stemmed from they actually disconnected me twice saying that's all they can do. I know blah blah blah not sure why I'm even sending this have a nice day.George H.

When a reservation is made and confirmed a vehicle should be available. I was told that there wasn't a truck available and there was nothing they could do about, it wasn't their problem. After fighting with them they gave me a bigger truck. Terrible customer service at pick up location. U-Haul left me a voicemail, as I was trying to pick up my truck, saying that my reservation â€œrequestâ€ couldn't be completed at my â€œpreferred locationâ€. What? Also said a truck would be available 65 miles away, in three or four days. NO! When someone reserves a vehicle for a location and date, it should be there or else U-Haul shouldn't take the reservations. TERRIBLE!! If I ever need to rent a truck again it will not be with U-Haul.Raymond G.

The truck I was given leaked in near the cab, destroying a shelving unit and several other items. I was told to put things I don't want damaged by water in that area, so I'm pretty pissed. Now I can't find where to file a claim for this shit.Paul H.

The equipment was well maintained but not clean. the previous user left the container area of the truck dirty with some trash inside. I received a call from U-Haul Customer Service the night before letting me know that the truck I ordered would not be available until 10:30 rather than 8:00. This was fine but he was of no help in trying to problem solve an alternative. He seemed more interested in moving one than helping me.Hipolito A.

we had to drive 100 miles to pick up this truck after we were "guaranteed" a truck in Denver. However uhaul did discount their price and added extra miles and an extra day to compensate. Truck had fueling issue in that the fuel could not be added at regular speed w/o the nozzle shutting off. Had to fill at 1 gallon per 3 minute rate to avoid this.Dennis S.
Ask employees where to put trailer, he said over there. I asked do I get any paperwork, he said online return. No other assistance . Got to my residence; try to checkin, couldn't, wasn't at dropoff business. Called uhaul Corp to check in equipment terrible, terrible service picking up and returning. I will never us Uhaul again. This was the worst customer experience I have ever had. I'll never use you again and make it my mission to make sure no one does. A 5 hour round trip just to pick up my uhaul. 4 hours on hold for customer service. You all are garbage and I hope uhaul goes under and you have to drive 5 hours to move after you're fired.
