The tire pressure was low in the right rear tire and the Manager strongly tried to convince me to ignore it and just go. I had to stand strong in my refusal. I know the life threatening dangers to myself and others if I would have listened to him.SAMANTHA B.

The truck I had drove very rough and the engine light was on the whole time. When pressing the brakes it would make all the a very rough noise. The brakes need to be change. The truck was very dirty on the inside whereas I myself had to clean it up to make sure I wasn't charged for the mess that was there prior to me using it. The experience with this truck was not a good one. Luckily I wasn't moving far but if I was it most definitely would have broken downKiera B.

Took a few minutes for staff to come to the counter when obtaining and returning truck; however, Ms. Diane was absolutely WONDERFUL to work with and made this experience delightful! She is AWESOME!Brenda L.
Using the automated pick up process does not work well here. I first went to the rear of the store where the trucks are located. But the app did not recognize I was at the correct location. I had to drive to the front of the store to start the pickup process. Then I had to drive to the back of the store to locate the truck. There is no key box so I had to drive to the front of the store and go in to get the key. Then I had to drive to the back of the store to get the the truck and go. If it hadn't been so painful it would have been funny. Fortunately the return process worked okay. I returned the truck to its original location and followed the check in steps. No issues with Uhaul or their personel. Moving Help on the other hand is a joke. I received a confirmation email but they didn't show. When I contacted them I got excuses instead of help. I needed help. I was forced to load the truck by myself. This caused a late return which incurred additional charges. Why offer it if they can't meet the need. People plan moves to the wire. 1 fail ruins the move. Worst part is, is nobody cares.DEBORAHANN H.

A 24/7 rental was reserved but was unable to pick up at 6:30am. Had to wait for store to open at 9am, and the wrong vehicle was assigned. New contract was drawn to coincide with original reservation. Lost 3 hours of moving time. Where is the guarantee?William F.

Peninsula Ace Hardware saved me when the location in Richmond (Scott's Addition at the Diamond), where I had first made my reservation, screwed me over. I had made a reservation to pick up a truck July 31 when I flew into the Richmond Airport. When I arrived I received a message from Scott's telling me the vehicle would not be available until Aug. 2. I was told the fault was mine for reserving a truck so close to the end of the month. I would have thought the fault was with the facility for accepting a reservation that they could not fulfill. It was a frustrating and unsatisfying experience, only redeemed by the very helpful and competent folks at Peninsula Ace Hardware.john G.

This is not the location I picked or the size of truck I picked. I was moved to several locations after I "reserved" the truck and location I wanted because I was told "after confirming the reservation" that they didn't have anything, then I was transferred to another facility to called to tell me they didn't have anything until I was finally connected to this location. Poor customer service with UHaul and I didn't get what I wanted and it cost me more money.Susan M.

I live near Yorktown VA. I reserved a truck 3 months ago. Two days prior to the pickup day, UHaul told me I had to pick up the truck in Portsmouth VA, almost 40 miles from my home. When I got to Portsmouth, they didn't have a truck available to rent and said I had to go to Williamsburg VA to rent a truck, which is almost 60 miles from Portsmouth. There was nothing wrong with the Williamsburg location but UHaul sure screwed up big time with my reservation.Richard C.

Truck was exceptionally clean and in good condition. Very happy with truck handling, gas mileage, and range per tank of gas. Only issue with remote pickup at this location is spotty AT&T service, which slowed down uploads to the app occasionally, but there were people at this location available to help if that did become a problem.Stephen K.

The whole Uhaul experience was a nightmare. I reserved a 26' truck to drop it at my final destination The day before they told me they didn't have any. After a whole day trying to find one, I had to accept a 20' and bring it back to the pick up location. Regional service doesn't care about their customers. Lots of miscommunication.
