In the last two weeks I have rented a 26' box truck and 6'x12' from this location(which I'm pretty sure was only 6'x9', which I questioned before I left. But he insisted it was 12'). Both times the attendant was on his cell phone the entire time I was trying to check out. When he needed something from me he would just throw a phone at me with a form to fill out or when a signature was needed. Then I had to manually pickup the trailer to hook it to the truck. I've had two back surgeries in 4 years. Not fun. I found out after he got off the phone that he had a tongue jack the whole time. He was just too busy on the phone to help me, I guess. Then he tells me he had to "check" to see if the trailer was hooked up properly before I could leave. So after I waited for him to do whatever he was doing, he comes out to literally glance at the rear of my truck. He didn't inspect anything. So I waited for nothing wasting more of my time. Anyway, this guy is extremely unprofessional. I will drive 30 minutes to the next uhaul dealer the next time I need to rent anything.Daniel S.

This location is a independent partnership location run out of a gas station. I scheduled a truck, and trailer along with two dolly's and blankets. First the guy running this thing is very impolite. He is more focused on helping the customers in the gas station, rather than helping you checkout so it took over an hr and a half to checkout. He had no dolly's or blankets (which i was still charged for.â€ The truck I rented wasn't clean and smelled horrible. I wouldn't rent from this location ever!! Poor business ethics.WILLIAM N.

I didn't have time to do the online check in which was a huge mistake. The cashier basically just had to do it on his phone while never ending his own phone call. I had to wait between each step while he waited on other customers because selling vape flavors was way more important. After 45 minutes we were done and the trailer I was assigned was in the back of a weed infested field. I had to move two bigger trailers by hand to get to mine and in 90 degree Florida heat I was not gentle. There was another trailer my size and I should have went back inside and requested that one but I was hot and frustrated by that point. I got it hooked up but didn't know I needed a wiring extension to hook up the lights. The cashier came out and pulled on the tongue and gave me a thumbs up. I asked if he sold wiring extensions and he said no. So I drove 10 miles with no trailer lights to the nearest Walmart. In hindsight doing the online check-in would have saved a lot of time as long as you don't need any other help.Charles P.

This is a gas station. People purchasing gas or items in the convenient store took priority from UHaul customers. I walked in, waited in line, once at the counter said I had reserved a trailer, and his response was, â€œI'm the only one here right now. I'll get to you later.â€ I ended up waiting 30 minutes before he even began the paperwork for my rental.Daniel M.
This location should be closed for UHaul! One employee in entire store for gas and carry out plus rentals? Took three days to get paid receipt then charged me for two days when I only had it one day. Can never reach on phonePaul C.
Pickup location gas station/store with one employee. Had to wait numerous times while lone employee stopped processing my transaction to take care of other customers. I had to find and connect trailer with no assistance. Employee demanded I pull up to store so he could check trailer connections and take pictures. I had to wait for several minutes while he took care of gas/store customers. Only after I complained did he come out. Not a good way to treat U-haul customers.Jerry S.

There is no help here in getting the equipment. You have to drive out in a field and hook up the equipment and then navigate a very narrow space in the field to get the equipment out. I will not use this location again and do not recommend anyone using this locationTerry L.

Not a typical U-Haul site, being run out of a Petrol gas station. It is one of about 3 or 4 U-haul sites within about 5 miles of my house-it was the only one that had the size truck I wanted to rent, but it had very poor ratings and I was skeptical about using it. The owner was there for the pick-up and it was pretty smooth. His workers were knowledgeable even though their primary work was running the register for the gas station. The area where trailers are stored is much too small. Getting out not much of a problem but when returning there was little to no room to back the trailer in where they wanted it. Had to move another trailer myself by hand and still not enough room.Karl S.

The sales representative was annoyed with me arriving to her location and was very rude and short with me. She was not welcoming at all. In fact, when I rent another uhaul for a trip I will make sure to avoid that location for drop off or pick up.MICHAEL G.
Hard to maneuver and park. Attendant did not check me in on the spot because she was busy. When she did check me in i was shorted fuel and charged for it when i showed her a requested picture of the odometer and fuel gauge with proper amount of fuel same as when i got the truck. I am still waiting on a dispute to be settled with uhaul and will have to wait for that money for a week or more.JONATHAN C.

My original reservation was unfulfilled due to the trailer not being returned at 74 Moll Dr, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459. This new location is a 1,5 hour round trip from my house, in addition I waited several hours for my initial reservation to be returned. U-Haul set me back 5 hours I could have spent packing and getting out of my house. When I picked up at this location, I got absolutely NO help hooking the trailer up and ensuring it was done properly. Bottom line, I reserved this trailer for 9:00am and I didn't get a trailer until 1:30pm with no discount what soever for my inconvenience.Rodney M.

He sold the guy in line behind me cigarettes, chatted with someone behind the counter and generally pretended I wasn't there. The owner was running a gas station and uhaul at the same time. He stayed on the phone with his people in India and told me I had to hook the uhaul up myself..he never gave me instructions so I called another uhaul and the lady was nice enough to tell me go to YouTube and that this location has many complaints. He said if I couldn't hook it up myself because someone had to run the store I could go somewhere else..mind you that is why you RESERVE something in advance..then he told me if I get it hooked up drive up to the store he would come make sure its right. So after complaining about a wiring attachment that wasn't on the trailer he looked in a box behind the counter and gave me one..so back outside I go in 90 degree Florida humidity heat..only to come back in because the chains didn't have the rubber black piece on them that interlock the chain..I go in and say where are the rubber pieces he says they are there, I say they are not and he tells me to go take them off another trailer..so I did just that..at this point I'm annoyed but I need this trailer..I finally make sure everything is good to go..thanks to YouTube and drive up..he comes out and takes a pic of the trailer number and my hook up as if he did it..because he did not then tells me I'm good....worst place ever stay away!! First, this is a small uhaul, almost a do it yourself. I rented a trailer and then was told the number on the trailer so I could find it when I went to the trailer pen. This was not easy to drive into the trailer pen with my 26" truck and turn it around then line it up right to pull the trailer out when I hooked it up. Yep, I picked up the tongue of the trailer and hooked it up by myself since the clerk was busy selling beer, cigs, scratch offs, etc. behind the counter. He came out later to take a picture of my hookup.. Oh, and by the way one of the tail lights was out.randall R.

I would like to file a formal complaint against the owner of the Petro Station in Niceville, FL. The owner told me I could not drop off the U-Haul trailer there even though I was scheduled to do so. He said if I left it there he would charge me extra. After being on the phone with U-Haul for an hour, I was told that I could leave it there and there would not be charged any additional charges, but today I was charged a total of $107 for 4 extra days at $20/day and a After Hours fee $20. This owner is a LIAR, a thief, and fraudulent! I took pictures with a time stamp 8/18/21 11:37am. Per my contract I dad not have to turn it until 8/19/21 at 10:00. I expect a full refund for all the harassment, and time wasted on dealing with this crooked U-Haul rep. I also expect a formal apology from U-Haul for such horrible service. (850) 624-9506ALAN G.

The phone number did not work so I had to go by in person to confirm. They did not have the truck that I reserved so they "upgraded" me to a larger truck which I did not really want or need. When I went to check in online at 5:30pm, the UHaul website said I needed to do it in person the next day at 7:00am. Fortunately, the helpful clerk at the gas station was able to assist me, however, he got confused about the insurance and it was removed from my account so I spent an hour sorting that out before I left. UHaul never answered their 24/7 customer support line.MICHAEL T.
No working phone, no service, spent 2 hours on pickup, no parts (ball, hitch) needed to go to another location to get hitched! First trailer was not able to pick-up had to load a second trailer! The store manager is also operating a quick mart type store so if there are 10 customers there to buy beer and ice, you will have to wait because there is only one person working the counter. This is a deplorably understaffed, very hectic vape/smoke/beer shop and gas station. It should not be a U-haul licensee. Multiple people were unable to get their U-haul rentals processed while I was there, because the sole clerk prioritized selling tobacco to many customers. I had prepaid and pre-registered with my driver's license. I purchased the CDW. I had to inspect the trailer, hitch it, and test lights myself without help of any employee. (I am a 58 year old woman.) At 3:48 pm CST Sunday, I made a video of the walkaround of the trailer, to document its condition since no form was given me to note pre-existing damage. When I returned the trailer 22 hours later at 1:20 pm CST Monday, the proprietor was extremely rude. The bill sent to me later added a fraudulent charge for an "after-hours service fee" of $20. I spent over one hour on hold, then speaking with a CSR at U-Haul to contest the fraudulent charge. This location is a disgrace to U-Haul. I booked online and this was the drop off location I was given. When I arrived the lady said she didn't have room for the trailer and if I could find a spot I could leave it. Had to back it without assistance and take the trailer off without assistance and she still complained about where I dropped it. I have to say...don't get much good customer service anywhere from uhaul and this was the worst ever...so that says something. She was rude and not friendly...was more concerned about smoking her cigarette than helping me. When I dropped off here on SAT, 08MAY, the clerk was courteous and everything went smooth. When I picked up on SAT, 15MAY the clerk (different guy than dropping off) was on the phone with someone the whole time and he changed my reservation to dropping off there instead of back home as I had reserved. Rented the uhaul trailer. Just needed it for a few hours. The guy seemed nice when we went to pick it up. He told us he'd leave the gate unlocked so we could bring it back that night (before 10pm). They charged us a 2nd night. Rip OFF.Matthew B.
