Charged me for 132miles driven when only 56miles were actually driven (photo proof). Charged me for Sunday and Monday because the U-Haul person was not working and couldn't check in the equipment and tried to claim damage to the truck but I had photo that proved damaged present on pick up. Very bad experience and will recommend to everyone to not use this location.
Merry HThis pick up location was well below what was expected. It is not an actual U-Haul property. The location is a market with poor signage. We picked our original pickup location based on high reviews. Upon our 9am pickup, we were told the location was changed to this site. We had to Uber 20 minutes away to the new location which didn't open until 10am. The owner arrived late and was rude. Only one vehicle was on site. While the vehicle was clean, the wheel alignment was off which made driving a bit tricky. I was disappointed to see the Uhaul brand represented this way.
Stephanie REverything was on point, added road side assistance for coverage which was a great thing. Ended up locking the keys inside truck - roadside assistance was to my location 10 minutes tops. Overall great experience

Ingrid MMy original order got cancelled without explanation. I could not get ahold of the location. I called the 800 number and they couldn't get ahold of them either. I got transferred to pick up the truck at a different location. We I got there it was empty, no one was working there. The store next door said they left around noon. I again called the 800 number and got sent to a third location. Finally, I got to a place that had employees and trucks, however, the fuel gauge on the contract wasn't accurate and it was a headache to get them to change it. I spent over an hour trying to get the truck and contract correct because the plane definitely placed a priority on gas station customers over U-Haul customers. When I left, the check engine light came on less than 10 minutes down the road. I called the place I picked it up and told them. The lady said "ok" and hung up on me. I then called the 800 number again and was transferred over and over before anyone could even take a note of the check engine light being on. I have rented U-Hauls many times (I'm military so I move a lot) and never had a bad experience before, but I am very disappointed by this experience.
Johnathan SLady said "we are closed at 3pm because it is Sunday, and people dont work Sunday", then made a call and made us wait, then simply gave us a key without any paperwork whatsoever. Truck cabin had a strong smell of cigarette and gas was almost out. on a different hand, customer service at the phone was courteous and helpful. This is location is certainly the worst, though.
Carlos GThis place should be stripped of it's U-Haul affiliation. I called to confirm my rental the day before. Yet, when I arrived, I was told they were closed. A woman in the adjacent mini-market had a BUCKET of keys she fished through and gave me keys to a truck. Then I was handed a phone to speak to an unidentified individual. I took the truck but as I was leaving, I received a text asking me to confirm my license plate number. It did not match. I replied to the text that the plate didn't match. FURTHER, I called 1-800-UHAUL FIVE times to correct the plate number. I was not succesful and was disconnected on four of the calls. Drop off in Alexandria was a delight. Genise was kind and undertstanding.

Cesare TWe asked the lady if we could get the truck early; because, we had good travel time &she told us the pick up was self & the key was inside! As we couldn't get the app to work & called in to the store, she told us to come back in & she'll give us the key! Just wasted our time!
TRACY SThe truck was dirty inside and out trash, candy, wrappers, Band-Aids, dirty tissue, stuffed into the handle of the passenger door of the truck, had four drawers of furniture and leaves, and another piece of furniture laughed inside, and we had to wait on a lady to help clean up some of it we lost almost 30 minutes time. We do not recommend this location we even had to help clean just to get going on our trip.
William HNo one checked the vehicle before my pickup. They took pictures of all the dents and broken mirror. The cab floor was filthy. I had to clean before I left. Blanket left in back of truck.

Wayne PPlease check the air in all U-Haul trailers and truck tires, at all locations on a regular basis soon as someone returns it should be checked . I have always had problems with the air in the tires. The PSI is never what it should be. I check them and make them all even with 5 lb under the recommended PSI every time I rent a truck or trailer. Christopher CThe lady at the desk was rude and dismissive. She was made I didn't not drop off where she wanted me to drop it off, despite no one being there to tell me where to drop it. She didn't even complete the check in, she just pushed the contract back to me and said 'you're all done'. I had to call corporate office to notify them of the drop off date as completed. Agent on the phone even commented on how rude the woman at the location was. I'd never go there again!
Craig TI already paid $234,33 for the trailer on april 5th 2023 at "Clean Air Truck Rental" in Cumming GA, and returned it to "Red and White" on april 7th 2023 @7:30. Today(June 17th 2023) you fraudulently charged me $152,6 for "extra days". There were no extra days with the trailer. I had it for less than 3 days. Reverse these charges IMMEDIATELY or I will report you to my banks fraud department and consult my attorney. I have pictures of the drop off that are date and time stamped, emails, and receipts of the original transaction and the original contract agreement proving what I say is true and correct. The receipt you(Uhaul) sent me is false, made up, and the information on it is fraudulent. You have until Monday June 19 by the end of buisness day to reverse these charges or I will tell my attorney to initiate legal procedures against Uhaul in the amount of $500 000 for fraud, false advertising, and stress related negative health effects endured and caused by Uhauls negligence in billing its customers in a fraudulent and deceitful manner.
Eric JTheir customer service is poor. They were helping me and someone came in with whom they conduct business services, they stopped helping me to help them. When I returned the truck, she could not properly check me in because she was working by herself and couldn't leave the store. I was not pleased with the service. The cab of the truck was not cleaned.
CANDACE HFUCK UHAUL!!! For a month you stupid mother fuckers accused me of stealing a trailer, then send me a certified letter stating you are going to prosecute me for stealing a trailer! Are you fucking kidding me? So for the past month I've been harassed by you dumb mother fuckers. Not even an apology or a fuck you to me by your piece of shit company. A $40 trailer rental has cost me a month of stress and anguish because of your fucking mistakes. FUCK off!

PHILLIP RThe staff at the Red & White were very polite and helpful; however, this was NOT the location my reservation was for. I arrived at the reserved location to pick up my reserved trailer, only to be told that the last trailer had been rented earlier that day, and that I would need to go to the Red & White to retrieve a trailer. I regularly rent a U-Haul at the end of February for a school field trip, and this is the second time in 2 years that I have had to go to a different location to retrieve the equipment that I had reserved at the credit union. Last time, I had to travel several miles to find what I needed. As I am a teacher, this is incredibly inconvenient, as I am on a tight schedule when picking up the equipment on my planning period. That is the reason I have always chosen the rental location closest to my school. I am very frustrated that for the past two years, the word RESERVATION has meant nothing when it comes to my experience with UHaul. I don't think I will be renting from this company again.

comeisha bI don't know Uhauls protocols. I went to the counter of Red and White Groceries (also Uhaul) and asked where I turn in the truck. The gentleman motioned for me to just give him the keys and said that was it. I didn't get a receipt or anything and now I'm being charged an extra day

Taron GIt wasn't clear how to return to this location. I went into the convenience store and asked the clerk. She said to just put the trailer on the side of the building. Fortunately, I remembered that I got a text from U-Haul on how to check out. The website was easily to follow for check out.

Craig SI would not recommend anyone to go here for a uhaul. They are very unprofessional, don't speak very good English and the person who does the booking for uhaul isn't there; you have to talk on the phone for the person to do the transaction. The equipment that they said they had on the website, they didn't have, so they gave me the runaround to find the equipment on my own. They charged me for a truck for damn near $500 dollars that I never moved off the parking lot and told me verbally that the truck was canceled but no email confirmation for it and I've been fighting for a refund since 10/16/2022. It is now 10/24/2022 and still nothing. They have really inconvenienced me with charging me way more money and them not having everything I need when they said they did. Inconvenienced me from the 6 hour drive that I needed to take. No one wants to answer the phone when you call. So you have to go to the store to do anything. This is a convenient store in the rough part of North Charleston where they steal the equipment and the people who are doing the uhaul rentals there really don't speak very much English so please if you are going to get a uhaul go to the actual uhaul store and not one of these knockoff places because you will get ripped off like I was. Just go to Penske. You get newer trucks and be equipment and everything is done at ease. Didn't even take me 10 minutes to get everything I needed and they relieved my anxiety, stress, and inconvenience that uhaul has brought me. I will never deal with uhaul anymore after this.
Sherrell BOnly issue was that the trailer had been used by someone to sleep in and there was bedding and trash left from that. Otherwise it was ready for use.

DAVID MLocation is horrible, rude and unhelpful employees. Be prepared to have someone roll their eyes and tell you to go to the U-Haul up the street. My advice, go rent from an actual U Haul store and not the local convenient store/ sit down restaurant.
Gabrielle NYou can start by improving customer service. I came to ask a couple of questions and the lady was so rude! She and her coworker were unnecessarily rude. How can you be rude and can barely speak English?! Terrible! I will NEVER go back or recommend anyone to go there!
Snovia SWe drove approx. 500 yards to the first stop light and the trailer (that was hooked up by the dealer) popped off the trailer hitch digging into the road. Fortunately, the chains kept it from totally separating from the truck. Had we not been stopping for a red light, and hit a bump this had the potential to be deadly.
Robin WI spoke to someone inside this old store in disrepair and wreaking of cigarette smoke and she couldn't speak English. She pointed to where the truck was but there was no one to walk the condition of the truck or ask questions. When I went inside she called someone but couldn't get them on the phone. The truck was dirty on the passenger side and had a dent on the front right fender which was not marked. I took pictures because I had to go. Will look at other rental choices next time.
RONNIE AThe people who own the store are incompetent. Gave me the wrong keys and when I pointed out that the contract said it was a different truck. She started yelling at me as if it was my fault. If this how haul works then I will start renting from Penske. All I can say is that they have terrible customer service skills and are not a benefit for Uhaul.
Webb CI had another drop off location originally. It wasn't until I got there and got out that I was told that lot didn't accept drop offs anymore and had to take it somewhere else.

Matthew HLocation was unclear on where to check in. Check in did not reflect reservation correctly (wrong drop off location, missing trailer coverage). Poor communication from vendors. Vehicle was dirty in cab (cigarette butts and ash) and box. When I returned next day for car trailer pickup, they told me none were available and gave no alternatives. Was on phone with Uhaul customer service for 20 minutes outside until another employee came out to allow us to take a different trailer (which the original employee told us they didn't have). This employee hooked up our vehicle to the car trailer improperly (tire straps loose, backup chain hooked to gas fill tube, etc). We took the trailer to another location at 4788 Dorchester Road where Elliot took great care of us and fixed the trailer issues. Do yourself a favor and visit that location instead.
