Nothing. I used the app for after hours drop-off.
Matthew CThe uhaul was fine , the storage is clean but the process of pick up and drop off sucks so bad . I think you need to go back to the drawing board if you think that this is an acceptable way to rent uhauls , the process was confusing and cut into my 4 hours by 38 min . Taking the truck back was equally frustrating, trying to find bar code scanner , that was eventually found on the side of orange key box . I hope i turned the truck in correctly.
Brian SCheck in with the Mobil App was terrible. Good thing I was not in a hurry to try and get on the road. It took over 45 minutes to get checked in with the App. It would load and then cut out and have to reload. then the return took another 45 minutes to finish the return. Will never check in again using this app. U-Haul needs to work on better customer service using this Mobile Check in

stuart mIt took 45 min to pickup the truck via my phone. The location has 1-2 bars of cell reception so the website fails to load the next check in page. The check in process skipped telling me where the key box would be, it's 50 years away on a post. Then when I returned the truck and followed the entire instructions it closed out the rental return without giving me the 6 digit code to open the gate and park the truck (and get my vehicle back). The code was never texted or emailed to me, so how am I supposed to know what it is? It ended up being the same 6 digit code from 3 hours earlier but that code wasn't emailed or texted to me so how am I supposed to remember it (at least tell me at the time, I need to write it down or screen shot it). Took 3 times longer to pick up and return the truck than it should have. I won't use the mobile process again.
tim dDon't make it so difficult to get in and find your truck and keys. It took me over an hour and many phone calls just to pick up truck. Very stressful!!!
Tom LMake sure the U-Haul website is working. And if it isn't, answer the phone in a more timely manner.
Grace GThere was no dolly's or furniture mover in the truck and we were charged for it. To over an hour to get the key box to work. The owner of the place was no help. He told us that U-Haul gives him no support. NEVER AGAIN

Kevin PSecurity gate was not working so there was no secure place to leave our car while we rented the uhaul truck. Signage was not clear where to pick up the rental keys or where to park.

Hailee SWe dropped off at midnight so there was no one there. We had an issue (our fault) at drop off and when we called first thing in the morning, no one answered. However, I was able to chat online with Uhual and worked everything out. The Red Rock Mini Storage closed out our Uhual rental and all was good! I would also recommend for a drop off location. They had a perfect spot that was open and obvious for parking the uhual at drop off.

Dale HThis check-in with no-0ne there was TERRIBLE. I was trying to check-in for more than an hour and was on the phone with the national/regional U-haul office to get it done. I had checked-in on-line before I left home and found that I had to do it again when I got there.. The instructions to get the registration/check-in completed were not at all clear and VERY cumbersome. The codes for the gate and the lock box were not available and we had to get them from the national office. When I returned the truck, I couldn't get in the gate. The on-line return did not give the gate code and I had to call the national office AGAIN. This experience was AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I suppose that once your are used to how it works, it may be fine. But the first time was HELL. For all the frustration and inconvenience, I expected that you would comp at least half of the rental (I asked), but all you did was give me more time. As it was, I was finished in 3-4 hours, not the 6hrs I registered for. I was beyond mad. I must say that the individuals on the phone were patient with me because I was unbelievably angry and they didn't read me out or hang-up on me. That was about the only positive thing about this rental.
Warren BWhen picking up the truck, damage was present on the front end from a previous use and was not checked properly. I am glad I took pictures of all damage at the time of pickup. We were also advised that the check engine light was on for the truck but that UHaul was unable to locate the reason for the light beyond it "probably being a sensor." Not really peace of mind ahead of a 700 mile road trip.

JOE CHaving the trucks being rented out solely through an online experience is a pain in the ass. It took me 30 minutes to get the code to get the key out. The location and staff were great and helpful but U-Haul's lack of person-to-person contact system drives down the experience
Patrick MThe truck was on empty. Location pick up was switched 3 times by uhaul. The engine light went on at the end of the trip. We waited 2 hours for a call back and no one was on the line with the call back. Waited 2 more hours for another call back. Said they had to send a service person. No one could come. Then they were sending someone in the morning. No one could come. Then we dropped it off at a local place and checkout took 45 minutes. Hot mess.

gregory aThey need to change the lock on box 3. There was a "trick" that had to be performed in order to get the key. The associate was very helpful, however, this was an after hours pickup and I would have been shafted had someone not been there. PLUS.... The 24 hours uhaul pickup service NEVER informed this place of me needing an appliance dolly, as that is what I was moving. Fortunately, someone was onsite to give me one. This needs to be addressed. Communication between Uhaul call center and the place for pickup needs to happen.
heather bI reserved a truck that was a block from my house in Ann Arbor and got told the day before that I needed to drive a half hour away to Pinckney, Michigan to pick it up. Extremely inconvenient and added an hour to my pick up that I had not planned on. I alos don't like having the pick up be done remotely, it took a bit to get things properly set so I could leave.
Eric GThe online process was not user friendly. It would have been helpful to know in advance all needed in order complete check-in and check-out. No instructions on whether to leave truck outside or inside storage grounds. It took us over 30 minutes each to complete both pick-up and dropoff...not ideal use of our time.

Andrew GAdding light by the return box would be helpful for those trying to return at night. It was hard to see and we couldn't get a picture of the bar code because it was too dark and the light from my camera added a glare.

MEGHAN AWe had a reservation that was unapologetically changed the night before from 5 minutes from our house to 37 minutes from our home and the was charged for “over mileage” by 8 miles when we turned it in. Found that to be total BS.
Matthew MBoth Larry and Scott went out of their way to make sure all my needs were met. I would recommend them when you need a truck.
